  1. I know he has been working on one and keep looking on his website to see if he has done it yet. I see something in his "In the works" section today and it is "ON HOLD".
  2. Nope. Sorry.
  3. The Lindberg kit mentioned was a Granada, not a Fairmont. The Futurattraction Fairmont is a Futura, and is a Pro Stock car with modified wheel wells. The caster sells a Zephyr grille for the kit if you want one.
  4. The big thing with TRX tires, in real life, was that they were not a "standard" size. They had a non-standard bead angle and were designed to use a "metric" wheel that would not accommodate 15- or 16-inch non-TRX tires.
  5. AMT 62 Corvette kit, molded on clear metalflake orange.
  6. Just for the record, All American Models cast the 67 or 68 Cougar in resin. I have one of these in my collection.
  7. Yes, the horizontal bar in the grille was only on the GTE, which came in Standard or XR 7 trim. Also the GTE had argent paint on the lower body, separated from the main color by a stainless steel molding. GTEs came with a 427 at first, later they had the 428.
  8. There's one on eBay right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-1-25-1967-1968-Mercury-Cougar-Model-Kit-/162527580830?hash=item25d766129e:g:yl8AAOSw4CFYyYlb
  9. In the late 60s/early 70s AMC used Chrysler Torqueflite transmissions.
  10. SMH Resins. It's a nice piece. Reliable Resin shows a body conversion kit and a complete interior on their web site. These pages were updated in 2010 and 2011 so use caution. http://www.reliableresin.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=256 http://www.reliableresin.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=10_29&products_id=118
  11. To me it looks like they lengthened the cab a bit through the doors. Kindig did that to some guy's 54-55 F100.
  12. Bump. Added the flyer image.
  13. This was issued by Testors, along with some resin kits of Jimmy Flintstone designs. There was a custom Astro Van, chopped DIVCO milk truck, a Boattail Riviera and some others in the series. They had photo-etch details and cast metal wheels. All were curbside but pretty well done.
  14. So Cal Classic Chevy Club and Rancho San Antonio have reached out to The Model Car Guys and asked us to organize a Model Car Show in conjunction with the rescheduled car show at Rancho San Antonio on Sunday, July 9, 2017. So we hereby announce the 2017 So Cal NNL, to be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Rancho San Antonio Boys Home in Chatsworth, CA from 8AM to 3PM. Please get the word out. Flyer will be posted as soon as we can get one designed.
  15. This show has been cancelled due to forecasted inclement weather. The Chevy Club, who sponsors the full-size car show at the location where the SoCal NNL is presented, cancelled their show and the venue has cancelled all events on Sunday, May 7.
  16. Jameston Kroon, the proprietor of Scale Finishes, had some tiny hardware for sale at his table at the GSL Trade Show. Not sure if he sells it through his website, but worth a look.
  17. Mitch Hedberg said Pringles were the result of a failed attempt to market tennis balls.
  18. Here is a link to my GSL Photos. http://s44.photobucket.com/user/sfhess/library/GSL%20XXVI?sort=9&page=1
  19. The 70 Cyclone funny car body was similar. The hood was molded in.
  20. To my recollection this was not an annual kit. The 70 Super Bee body was part of a funny car kit. In the 90s AMT combined the funny car body with the bones of the 68-69 Road Runner/GTX kit. I remember taking a 70 Coronet funny car body (it was molded in dark blue) and combining it with the chassis, interior etc from an MPC Charger back in 1970-71 or so.
  21. Plus it has the front fender conversion a lot of folks would like to do.
  22. Missing link sells resin copies of an accurate underhood area. The underhood parts from the 71-73 Cougar will work too.
  23. 68 Cyclone....... (I think they look better.)
