a fire extingusher's probly a better idea (it bein a gluebomb an @) guess I gotta spill some beans, an share a little bout my youth. way badk dere when I was jus a punk kid and models cost a couple bucks, we used to get the really cool monster models, Frankenstein, Werewolf, Mommy, Creature form the Blaque Laqoon, glow in the dark skeletons, etc. Loved to kit bash em & put the arms from one on another 'n stuffs like dat. I finally duded up ol Frankie with some big outa scale skeleton arm bones--ya'll remember his 'stance'? arms strainght out. Well, bout the same time we discoverd that good ol model cement burns when you light it up--wasn't no orange flavored syrupy stuff they sell the poor kids nowdays (hmmm...wonder why ) anyhows you shoulda seen ol Frankie burn

ok fellers, time to get a bit serious... ........oh alright! Done got a little crazier today at the workbench (probly shoulda washed the dishes) Started plumbin this here li'l T's onethutty Cadddemillac enjine. Aint real purty, but it should run took really thin wire insultation off the stuff they tie toys to the boxes with and used it fer the fuel lines. Yeah I sees that back carb gonna be leakin since this here Li'l T has such big, (sorry)...BIG wheels can't be takin a chance on no stock fuel pump, scratched a big honkin pump and welded it to da frame here be part o the plum crazy sstuff, mebbe in 1/25 scale, fer sure in 1/16 and bigger, but 1/32? We are crazy, Gramps!! passing gear linkage--straight into the bell housing persuadin the gas line to get closer to the frame eewwhhh! a scracthybuitd onethutty scale coil fer the Caddemillac (didn't mean to gross anyone out) OK, we gots fuel & air, all we needs now is some SPARK!!! great, I fergort a battrey where'm I gonna put a battrey? more current WIP pics here:http://public.fotki.com/V866/big-wheel-t-rod/page3.html

######'n Blaque here, postin up some pix of a way cool old timey Pure Oil gas station that my buddy Eshaver built. He even used an antique camera to take pics of it , and I scanned 'em for your enjoyments Here's a reference pic of the building as it is today in Richmond Virginia. Originally built in 1923 I believe here's another pic of the building and Ed's mockup front of the place side of the place the completed station scene shown at the 'Old Dominion open show' in Richmond, Va 2007 4cents a gallon!?! that's highway robbery!! I also posted a couple cool old timey gas pumps Ed made, in the 'General' forum. Check em out and ask Ed--Eshaver, fer more ifno on them and this here scene from yesterday--(or some other freakin world )

Greetings lads & lassies, ######'n Blaque here postin up some pix for Eshaver. Here's a couple cool old timey gas pumps he made. The one is just a 5 gallon pumper--shoot, tha's only about $20? aint hardly worth the drive off fer more ifno on these here, ask Eshaver. I'm also posting pics of a way cool old timey Pure Oil gas station diorama he built in the 'Dioramas' forum. 1920's era I believe. I remember pumpin Amoco gas at 29.9 back in 1970---can't even imagine what it was fitty years before that

Ya know, Gramps, these pics of yer workembench almost looks like a scene from a diaoroma of the engine section of a junkyard, and ya knows what a sweeet place that can be ! I can smell the aroma even now! Made me rmember when me & my bro pulled the 235 outa my fittyseven and put the V8 in. Can't remember, but I know we borrowed a tripod offn someone to do the swap --that'd be a cool scene too. Wow, now I'm tryin to remebler what we did wit that blowd up 235 ! Wonder ifn we didn' burry it here somewheres

Stance by Bernard I'd say something else, Bernard, but......I be speechless
-
I've been hit! KOOL RIDE Torino! Tha's my kinda rod! Yer paint scheme sounds good to me! Can't wait to see more pics. Is that front end mocked up bout where it's gonna be? If'n it is, can't wait to see how you set it up, coz that's a way cool stance, veddy bulldoggy

Whoa! Gramps! I was just droolin over yer Hemi, and just wanted to let ya know, before ya gets too fer gone with it. Porblyl shoulda PMd ya, but I think it can't wait--Gramps, ya fergot to put the valve cover gasket on! If'n ya dont fix dat, you'll hafta make a puddle of oil under that Monico

OH Man, Gramps! good thing I gots dialem up and gots to wait fer the pictures to load up. soons I read yer post I started laughin and almost choked to deaf!! *My wife asked me while I was makin my last dio. "Why are you doing that" and my answer was "Because I can"* C'mon Gramps--STOP IT! my sides are hurtin! Wow, Gramps, that Hemi is lookin awesome. Love your throttle linkages. Didja ferget about rippin them inner fenders out & pokin a hole thru the oil pan fer the front axle? You'll get it in there! But I gots a great idea--NO, Really! man Gramps, with all the detail on that Hemi, be a freakin shame to hide them V'd pulleys, whatta ya think about a diorama scene with this Hemi on a pallet, bein delivered in the back of one of yer cool pickemups? That way the Hemi's out inna open and you could even build up the Mopar of your choice with the hood off and super derail the engine compaarentament ---ooohh

Dude, yer messin with big karma stuff there, mixin Ford & Chebby stuffs, no wonder yer havin porblems Looks veddy interesting! Hope you get it figured out. What else is planned for it?
-
'Under Glass'? or 'Real or Model?' Glad you got back into modeling Bernard, but do ya gotta use such bright colors?
-
Hey Lyle, love them mags on the Nova!! Way cool how you did the body/wheels on the Ron Cash tribute car, don't know if I'll ever take a liking to any of them big wheels, but you sure made em look pretty OK! with the fender treatment . Aint macro cool?! May I suggest somethin? If you can put yer new cam on manual control, look for AWB and a little symbol of a lightbulb--that's for taking pics under incadescent lights and it eliminates that orangish hue from yer pics. There should also be symbols for sunshine, clouds, flourescent lights, etc. The 'AWB' stands for Automatic White Balance, but sometimes ya gotta be more specific, specially with our builds!

the Li'l T is startin to get more ready & legal. Props to 84Vanagon fer the idea of usin hubcaps for the gassem up tank--thanks dude! while gravediggin in my brandy new 40Fort turtleback for hubcaps, came across the spotlights for the custom version --yessir! them'll do fer taillights! applied for and got a plate fer it. Hafta run a fuel line from the tank to the Caddy engine and porbly stay at the engine and start wiring it --uh oh, just remembered--I'm gonna hafta scratch a coil now hmmmmmm.....straight pipes or headers??
-
Thanks Eric. Sometimes my imagination is great, and other times: Dude, I'm looking forward to seein some color on it too, just haven't figgered out what colors yet

Pull over, Pete! Wow! bout the only thing wrong with this truck is "IT AINT MINE!! " I be a flame-lover too, and yers are sweet! Well worth the effort of masking them big fat fenders! Love this shot of the truck, love to see it in 1:1 like this, pullin out to get a better look at this chopped Chebby. Love how you scooped & hinged the hood as well. MAN O MAN! Reminds me of a '52 Chebby p/u someone was selling some years ago. Saw it in a truck trader mag. Guy had made it into a 4 door cab, put a duallie rear end on it, and dumped a Caddy engine init. It was in primer, ready for paint-- guy had to sell it for health reasons. I didn't have the 10 grand he wanted for it, otherhow I woulda flew down to Florida and grabbed it up. Thanks for buildin, paintin, flamin, & postin this!

I gots to George! My Boss might smite me ifn' I donts, but really, I aint sure what the hell yer sayin half the time so I just plahys it safe!!

Gee thanks, Ed. Never set out to copy anyones work, or start a trend. I digged bein kinda inna same boat as Big Daddy, not too sure bout Mr Foose--he aint nuthin like Boydington am he? Not knockin the Boyd, just didn't care for the personality I saw on his TV show, but I do realize it's a media thing........I best stop here
