  1. I'm holding the Revell Blue Max tires in my hand. The rear slicks have the full sidewall on both sides but only one side has the raised "Goodyear" logo. The front tires are one piece, Goodyear "Sports Car Specials".
  2. Ahhh, I see! Those kits are some of hundreds that I haven't got too yet! LOL I like to leave them sealed until I go to build them. I wasn't aware that the PL kits came with two engines! That's cool!
  3. OHHHHH, that looks cool!!!!! I'm looking at that kit right now. I really like the wheels you chose over the Centerlines in the kit!!!!! That MPC reissue, is it the one in the AMT box? I have two of those. I was thinking that it looked like the MPC kit but I wasn't sure? Didn't Polar Lights release a Blue Max as well? I could swear I have a couple of those and the Gas Rhonda cars as well? I've lost track! LOL
  4. Which Blue Max kit is everyone referring too as far as the new style chassis and tires? I have several different Blue Max kits but I haven't opened some yet. I want to check out what everyone is talking about.
  5. Ok, now I'm jealous!!!!!!!!!! I don't have one yet!
  6. I just scored a new DVD of Funny Car Summer off Ebay for under 8.00! That's with shipping!
  7. I was just looking on Ebay and found the Spirit of 76 wedge rail and was wondering if this was the only 1/25 or 1/24 kit of a wedge dragster? Has the Spirit of 76 rail ever been reissued or are there plans of having it reissued?
  8. I could swear that I have seen someone offering these wheels in resin in a larger scale? I can't remember what scale though. Another way to search for them is by looking for "200S" wheels.
  9. There's several different types of detailed 1/25 dogs on Ebay right now in the "models/kits-dioramas" section.
  10. Looks like your doing a great job so far!!!!
  11. Parts by Parks makes real aluminum spun discs to replicate the wheel covers.
  12. Wow!, never seen that one before! That's wild! Outstanding build as usual John! I'll never get tired of seeing your work! Keep em coming!

That's too cool!!!!! I love models that replicate Hotwheels or Matchbox cars! Very nice job!
  14. A firetruck???? LOL It looks pretty sweet so far! That paint is nice a chiny!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Hey Johnny, really sorry to hear that your both going through this hard time. I'll keep the both of you in my prayers and hope for all the best.....
  16. I've seen that truck. They use it to deliver the mail. In two zip codes at the same time!
  17. My best modeling is done on those long night builds! Nothing like building all night and sleeping all day!
  18. There are some resin casters that have offered resin handles but the quality is not that great. White metal is much better for casting small parts like these.
  19. I agree! Gregg has a very nice forum AND magazine and i'm proud to be a part of it! Thanks Gregg!!!!!!!!!
  20. Here's a little N scale (1/144) Peterbilt 359 with tri axle lowboy that I built.
  21. Hey Harry, you'll see that a lot with guys that build the Nascar stuff. Reason being is that all you have to change is the decals to have a different car. The aftermarket companies made tons of decal sets that could be used with those kits to make darn near every car raced!
  22. I consider kits like the Funny Hugger to be "drive by" kits. As in, to me, it looks like the people that developed the kit were driving around and saw the funny car. From there they drove back to the drawing board and designed the kit. No getting out and taking measurements. Just the philosophy of "hey it looks like that funny car we saw they other day"! On the Dick Harrell Camaro you can tell a lot of time and effort was given to produce as accurate of a replica as could be done back then.
  23. LOL, if someone will paint the body, i'll finish it for sure! I get to that point and lose interest a lot of times. I can paint and have a good airbrush, I just don't like that part!
  24. Ahh, I did not know that. Filling the seams would be easy!
