  1. American Industrial Truck Models has that short hood GMC 9500 trans kit your looking for. He also has the long hood version of it as well. If you look again, the truck sitting to the left of the Cracker Box is the AITM GMC 9500 short hood that I mentioned. The truck on the very end of the row is a GMC General.
  2. Does anyone know if any of the Revell or Revell Germany Kenworth cabover kits, flat top or Aerodyne were issued with all the chassis pieces being molded in white?
  3. Hey Kurt, what is the length of that trailer? (in real life)
  4. Kurt, ya owe me a new keyboard!!!!!!! I drooled so hard, mine just went up in flames! o7fouyfitciytckjyf;v97f97dol LOL
  5. Cool! Thanks for the info guys! I'll check em out!
  6. Hey Arron, thanks! Yeah, I've found some of the Wynns Charger kits in the 17.00 to 22.00 range. I was just hoping I already had a kit with that chassis so I could use it as a donor for the Competition Resins wedge dragster body kit.
  7. Man, that is really sad! When I look at models on a contest table I may see things that are wrong or not as good as they could be but I would NEVER say anything negative. I just quietly look at everything and not say a word! I always say, no matter who you are, no matter what you do, there will always be someone in life that can do it better than you! Nobody's perfect! When my son comes to me with a new model he has built out of Lego's, I may not really grasp what it is but I sure tell him how cool I think it is and how he did a great job! The next time he brings a new model to me, it's even better than the previous! I hate to even think how I'd make him feel by saying something negative!!!
  8. Yeah, I'll do that as a last resort. I was just hoping there was something already available.
  9. Well, it don't have to be legible, just something that represents words, little dashes or whatever.
  10. Are there any of the current reissued dragster kits that share the same chassis/engine with the Garlits Wynns Charger rear engine dragster kit?
  11. I remember seeing somewhere, radiator hose with writing on it (I think?) I was wondering if anyone offers scale spark plug wire with writing on it?
  12. Lookin pretty sweet!!!!!!!! What colors are you thinkin of puttin on it?
  13. If you love the Aurora Racing Scenes kits like I do, I think you'll find that this article is full of interesting information! *dead link*
  14. It's cool to see it in progress! Thanks for posting those pics!
  15. I think it's cool! Several of them took me back to the good ol' days!
  16. Hey Terry, thanks for the offer on the pics! I'll take you up on that on a later date if I get around to building the Snake wedge. I have seen one picture of it in the Garlits museum but that's all. Have you seen the resin body from Competition Resins? I was wondering how close it is in comparison to the Snake wedge? I think it will be the easiest to obtain.
  17. Wow Tim! That is really lookin sharp!!!!!!! The sad thing is, it won't fit in with the rest of your trucks being that it's a fire engine. You better send it to me when your done. We don't want all those other trucks getting jealous! Wow Tim! That is really lookin sharp!!!!!!! The sad thing is, it won't fit in with the rest of your trucks being that it's a fire engine. 18. Is it true that McEwen never ran a wedge dragster. I know Prudhomme had the red and white one. What has me puzzled is, what did Mattel base the yellow and blue wedge dragsters of the Snake and Mongoose, Hotwheels on? I'm guessing they are simply "what ifs"?
  19. Cool! Thanks!
  20. With all this discussion of "new car versus old car", I'm now wanting to build both versions to put them side by side to show people the changes made when they look at them.
  21. Oh, ok, I see what you mean now. I didn't know if that bead portion was supposed to removed along with the "web" portion.
  22. Cool! I was wondering if anyone offered the wedge body in resin?! I wonder what donor kit is sugested for them? Thanks for that info!
  23. I hope you can tell in the pics. The inside diameter of the "bead" is the same on both sides of the tire. This is true for both the front and rear tires.
  24. Here's the Blue Max slick on the inside. The outside And the front tire.
  25. Hey Shane, thanks! Do you know if those other two wedge kits were basically the same kit as the Spirit of 76 but with different decals? What I would like to do is build the Snake and Mongoose wedge rails.
