  1. This is so true! I have to keep reminding myself that this is what I do to enjoy myself. I find myself thinking that I have to do this or that just perfect because people that know me, know that I'm able too. I'm always fearing that phrase of "you should have" or "why didn't you". Because of this my builds drag on and on and I end up never finishing them for fear of them not turing out the best they can be.
  2. Wow! That turned out really nice!!!!!!!!! That S series tractor looks perfect in front of it!
  3. Oh, so they are molded in that color rather than actually being painted? Just basically a disassembled promo?
  4. Thanks for posting that. I enjoyed watching it!
  5. I'm really wanting to see how well the body is pre painted, if the doors actually open and if this is just a reissue of the MPC Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am? http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-MPC-Promo-1980-PONTIAC-Firebird-Trans-Am-FRANCISCO-RED-FACTORY-SEALED-KIT-/150842908246?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item231ef01e56
  6. SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!! That's really awesome that she's into building models! Now you only have nine nails left, to paint purple! LOL
  7. I'd say the whole thing is about 13" long. You have to see the detail on one of these trucks in person to see just how nice they are! Working steering, opening doors, full engine detail, photo etch pieces. Die Cast Promotions are by far the best 1/64 trucks ever offered and they have made almost every type of trailer you can think of. The early tractors had cabs that lifted off the chassis to expose the interior. Interior features included, seats that actually moved up and down (as if air sprung), actual soft carpet on the floor and working, tiny sun visors!
  8. Yep! DCP are my favorite! I have the first ones ever made. I even machined a really detailed two hole Budd wheel to use on them and then cast it into resin. At the time, no company offered the two hole wheel in 1/64. They would replicate them by just painting a ten hole wheel white. Then Revell came out with some trucks and they made a beautiful little two hole that they used on some of their trucks. I have their International with TNT pups. It's just as nice as a DCP rig!
  9. I missed this when it was available back in 2011 so I had to pay a little more for it. I have about 80 of these 1/64 rigs. I only collect the really special ones like limited production, show specials etc. This was the 2011 Toy Truck and Construction Show truck. They have a different one specially made each year. This truck replicates the real show truck owned by Pat Eilen. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&hash=item20c6b2a0ce&item=140772548814&nma=true&pt=Diecast_Vehicles&rt=nc&si=0vIbvSWHp3ljVo%252F30tgnT16VV6Y%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  10. I prefer Sherline myself.
  11. I appreciate all the suggestions but I really need to stay right at the dimesions I listed due to space concerns. Every time I see a box that is 18" long, it's 12" wide! I can't believe how hard it is to find boxes at 18 x 6 x 6.
  12. That's cool! Who built that one?????
  13. I've found hundreds of boxes that you could store car kits in. My problem is that I have several 1/25 and 1/24 semi trailer kits that I want to store and protect. They are 18 inches long so the box would have to be at least 18 inches long, 6 inches wide and 6 inches tall.
  14. Ok, I'm about to give up! I have been searching the web for over an hour trying to find a certain kind of box to store some model projects in. I really want either the white corrugated "mailer" type boxes or a clear plastic box or tub. Something with a lid that comes on and off or folds open and closed without having to tape it up or anything like that. The size needs to be no smaller than 18" X 6" x 6" and no bigger than 22" X 8" x 8". I have checked ULine and all the online places that sell boxes online so please, and I'm not trying to be rude when I say this, only tell me something if you have actually seen a box of this type and within this size range. Thanks!
  15. I just went to look at your SmugMug photo album but it's showing a message saying that the photos I'm wanting to see are no longer there? Did you delete your account or are they just have problems with their site? Any updates on the Great Dane or Prostar? Thanks!
  16. LOL, that's too cool!!!! The sharks got some of his toes! LOL
  17. I have over 400 positive feedbacks on my account. If everyone I actually bought from left me feedback, I would have well over 1500! I just do what I'm supposed to do and pay in a very timely manner. When I get the product, if I'm happy, I leave positive feedback for the seller. If I'm not happy I won't leave negative feedback but I will contact the seller to make it right. There's only been a couple times that I had to do that and the seller took care of me so no neg. feedback was needed. After everything is said and done, I just hope the seller will leave me positive feedback but if they don't, oh well. As long as nobody leaves negative or neutral feedback on me, I'm happy.
  18. Yea, I bet he could make some really nice dually wheels!!!! I sent him several pics of currently offered (real) wheels and we talked about it a bit but I never got around to drawing them up in scale with all the measurments like I did for the ones in the pic you posted. I wasn't really happy with how few were selling so I hesitated on asking him to do anything else. I'm about to purchase several sets of the truck wheels myself. I haven't been able too after losing my job a while back.
  19. These are actually semi truck wheels, not dually pickup wheels. They could be used on a pickup with some work to make the truck look like the custom duallys seen recently. Norm at Replicas and Miniatures offers two different styles of resin dually wheels. The round hole "Alcoa" type and a directional type. I designed all the wheels you see in these pics and I wanted Jim Littiken to make some 19.5 dually pickup wheels and 17" wheels but I wanted him to sell some of these before asking him to make more.
  20. I tried to post pics to show you the wheels but I'm having trouble with my Photobucket for some reason. You can see them on my Fotki site though in the album titled "Model Truck Wheels". www.public.fotki.com/lotso
  21. That's odd, I've never seen that one before???? It appears to be a custom, chopped up 61 Kenworth needle nose with the Fiberglas tilt hood.
  22. I'm not a big drinker so I wouldn't be able to help you on that one.
  23. Well, I just deleted four pages worth of pics with no luck. I only have 19 pics total on there now and it still won't allow me to click in the "IMG LINK" that appears to the right of the pics and turns yellow with the word "copied" in it?
  24. Never heard about the bandwith situation. I'll try deleting some stored images that I have there and try again. Thanks for the info!
