  1. Just think of the hardest area to get too on that car, it's behind that! LOL
  2. On the stacks, the reason they face the slash cuts towards the rear is so that the stack does not act as a "scoop" while driving at highway speeds. Not only would it be forcing air back against the exhaust trying to escape but it will grab a lot of rain which will fill the pipe and cause it to rust out.
  3. Very cool! I really like that color combo!!!!!!!!!!
  4. If anyone would like to see what a "tractor set" consists of, please email me. bwicker@satx.rr.com Thanks!
  5. If anyone would like to see what the "trailer set" consists of, please email me. bwicker@satx.rr.com
  6. Ah, I see. I have a place called EcoBox not too far from me and they have the same sizes and styles of boxes as Uline. They also sell everything from labels, peanuts and everything else you need for shipping or moving. I've been buying my big boxes there but realy didn't think about the small ones. I had been scraping by with little boxes I save from whenever I get something sent to me. I'm gonna see how much they get for their small boxes.
  7. By non flat rate box, do you mean the all white box that they have? I ship very small things most of the time like tires or wheels so I try to use the smallest box possible. The smallest box I have seen that USPS has for free is the small 8x5? flat rate box.
  8. I use the Priority flat rate boxes for domestic shipments but it gets too expensive to send them out of the country! I just sent a small box to Canada yesterday that cost 4.00 in shipping. If I would have used the smallest flat rate box it would have been 12.95 in shipping!
  9. Thanks for that info! I thought it was just a printed label that they were charging for. I didn't realize that the postage was part of it. The bad thing is, in order to utilize that feature, I would have to buy ink for my printer, label sheets and a postal scale. I can't afford all that right now! I almost want to state that no international shipping would be available but that would really knock down the amount of bids on my items. This time I sent one package to Italy and one to Canada. The last one was in the US.
  10. Can anyone that has gone through this recently tell me how long they actually did have to wait? I was hit with this nice surprise over the past week when some items I had listed on Ebay sold and were payed for through Paypal. Man, was I NOT happpy to find this out being out of work and the bills being due! I wasn't going to pay EVEN MORE money to print a shipping label through Ebay so I sent the items the first day the post office was open and then went to my Ebay and manually entered to tracking numbers for domestic packages and the customs number for the international ones. It showed "items shipped" on Paypal next to each persons transaction history. How do they know if the person recieved the item and if they were happy? It says on Paypal, they don't go by the buyer leaving you good feedback as some buyers do that before even recieving their item.
  11. Ya know, I have been on Ebay since the very beginning. Paypal as well. 90% of my transactions are as a buyer. I have well over 500 positive feedbacks, never a negative or even a nuetral. I just recently sold a few things on Ebay over this past week and was shocked and pretty P.O.ed over how much Ebay charges in all the fees they hit you with. Then to add to the displeasure, I had three people pay me with Paypal. I go to transfer the money to my bank account and I get a message saying that now, Paypal puts a 21 day hold on any funds payed from an Ebay auction until I have sold both, over 250.00 worth of merchandise and I have to have had at least 25 transactions as a seller. I was NOT happy! Ebay only had on record that I had only sold three things which is totally wrong. It's such a scam. They tell you that if you go to Ebay and print out the shipping labels for each buyer, you can get your money three days after the seller recieves the merchandise. Of course you have to PAY for those labels! So now, when you sell something and have less than 25 things sold and payed for through Paypal, you have to ship the item and there's a chance you may never get the money. If the buyer is not happy, Paypal refunds their money. That's not right! I'm all for making the customer happy and I've always done so but what if the buyer is a scam artist and knows all they have to do is complain a little to get something for free! Ebay and Paypal are really starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth as well!
  12. Very, very nice!!!!!!!!! Looks like it drove right out of the picture!
  13. Hi Robert, these wheels were mastered several years ago to fit any 1/25 or 1/24 truck so they are not a "direct replacement" for the Moebius wheels but just require a small amount of work to install them on the Moebius kits. On the rear, all you would need to do is drill out the drums to the correct axle size. On the front there is a hub but a spacer may need to be use to properly space the wheels to the correct track width.
  14. I've had quite a few people ask about the hubs so I wanted to show how the two holes look in the tires that will be in the new Moebius Great Dane trailer kit with the Stemco trailer hubs.
  15. Hi Tony, yes, There are three different types of front hubs, two standard and one domed center cap and for the rear, you can choose from a drive hub, a Stemco oiler hub or a domed hub cover. Brake drums are provided with the rear wheels as well. For even more detail, I have some brake shoes that can be installed in the drums.
  16. Not to get too far off topic but since it was mentioned here, I like watching Fast and Loud.........a little. It's ok if nothing else better is on (which is often!) but for the life of me, I can't figure out how they came up with the name "Gas Monkey"??????????? The term I've heard all my life is "Grease Monkey" I've never heard anyone say Gas Monkey? Anyone else?
  17. I forgot to mention, always be sure to "test" spray some scrap plastic before you start painting the actual model. Testors paints are made for models but Krylon can sometimes "craze" the plastic and leave a really rough finish. You always want to test different paints with each other on a scrap as well just in case they don't work well with each other.
  18. Hey Anthony, welcome to the fun world of model trucks! For paint prep on the plastic pieces in those kits, all you need to do is wash them with very warm soapy water with a detergent like Dawn. All you want to do is remove any oils from the surface. Any abrasives might end up leaving scratches that will be seen after painting. There's all kinds of cool this available aftermarket if you want to add your own personal toches to your models. Always be sure and ask questions here if there's anything you might not sure about. There are lots of very knowledgeable people on this forum and everyone loves to help!
  19. If you use pliers or Chanellocks, be sure to hold the bottle in some paper towels or something disposable. I have had the glass jars break while trying to open them. Makes a big mess!
  20. Hey Chuck, no problem. Just give me a shout if I can do anything for you.
  21. Hey Robert, thanks! The trailer "set" would come with detailed little Stemco oiler hubs. The wheels would be the same though, just like the real thing.
  22. Hey Chuck, yes, a "tractor" set would consist of two front wheels and two front hubs, four outer rear wheels, four inner rear wheels, four drive hubs and four rear brake drums.
