  1. To me, it's like asking if I want to be whipped with a electric cord or a nylon rope, it's gonna hurt either way! I absolutely HATE that I have to use Ebay to get any kind of a good price for the kits I'm selling. I sold 17 items over the past few weeks and I have 200.00 in fees that will be deducted from my bank account the first of Oct. I know they're a business and their main goal is to make money but 10.00 in fees for every 100.00 seems awfully excessive to me when you consider the amount of auctions that do sell! The one thing that put me over the edge is the fact that they FORCE you to pay through Paypal or another online pay source. They won't let you accept check or money order! I don't care what they say! I put a huge note in all my auctions that tells the buyer that they MUST contact me directly to my email BEFORE they pay! When they do, I give them the option to pay by check, money order or Paypal. Recently, Ebay has made a new rule that you have to have A: 250.00 or more in U.S. sales. B: at least 25 transactions as a seller within the U.S. and one other thing, (I forget what the last one is at the moment) before they will allow you to collect your funds paid through Paypal!!!! Their new policy is that if they don't consider you a "safe seller" because you dont meet all three criterias, they will hold your money up to 21 days before they will release it to you! They tell you "you can get you money faster by printing a shipping label on Ebay"........of course, they CHARGE you to do that!!! They will release your funds sooner if you mail the item right away, the buyer gets it and has three days to think about accepting it!!!!!! Even if the buyer leaves you awesome feedback they still hold your money three days after the buyer gets the item!!! The part that really made me go off on the guy I spoke to at Ebay was the fact that they were holding my money on two sales that were OUTSIDE the U.S.!!!!!!! They hold your money on those transactions as well but THEY DON'T count them towards you being a "good seller"!!!!!!!!! How wrong is that!!!!!!!
  2. Whenever I click on either link, I get a message saying "sorry, you don't have permission for that"?
  3. Depending on how your mold was made, you can sometimes take a solid mold with a part buried inside. Carefully cut into the center of each side in a zig zag pattern, spreading the mold open as you cut. Cut until you reach the part and if necessary, cut any "strands" of silicone going through the part. After your able to pop your master part back out, the mold should go back together in a locking fashion if your cuts were done correctly. I used to make single truck wheel molds all the time by mounting the wheel on a pedestal that ended up being the pour spout. Mix the silicone and completely cover the part. Afterwords, I would cut them apart as mentioned above. These molds produced flawless pieces with no flash for up to 50 castings. I was using Shin Etsu clear silicone though. After the silicone cured it was crystal clear. You could easily see the part and know where to cut too. I have done it with the GI1000 blue silicone as well though.
  4. I would suggest that you cast them in white resin as you mentioned but then you should also lend your master or a perfect copy to another caster that can produce them in rubber resin. Then everyone would be happy!
  5. The worst thing about this kit is that it's the only American truck kit in 1/20. There's no trailers available for it. It was originally issued as an assembled "toy" in yellow plastic and then later by Testors as a kit in red plastic. Chassis parts were molded in black on both versions. It's a curbside from what I remember. The original versions were molded in a more flexible type plastic being that it was also issued as a toy. I don't have Lindbergs version but I think someone mentioned that they molded it in regular styrene. It does build into a nice looking Peterbilt but there's not much you can do with it without some serious scratchbuilding.
  6. That's the Barris Supervan. I have a kit of that.
  7. Where did you see this? I just called Tower Hobbies and the lady told me late Sept. and that they had not had any come in before today???
  8. Thank you Robert, very sorry for the trouble.
  9. Hey guys, I had a major computer crash on Friday and it wiped out everything. If you placed an order with me recently, please contact me so I can get your address and exactly what all you ordered. I'm very sorry for this! I'm making sure to write everything down this time as well. Sorry guys.
  10. That actually appears to be a cutting "mat" not an actual table. The mat could be used onany flat surface. You can buy them from MicroMark, Hobby Town USA, Tower Hobbies, etc.
  11. We still love ya Tom! Just make sure to wear a towel, just in case you turn visible again!!!!!!! :o
  12. Are you suuuuuure you want to come take my kitty???? Yep, that's really me.
  13. LOL, Oh, I remember those days! I wasn't paying a hundred bucks a month for those three channels though!
  14. Whew, if you hadn't buckled it in, it might have been a TTTTUUUUUUUUMMMMMMBLER. Thank you, Thank you! I'll be here all week!
  15. I like how the cable companies can delete channels but they just don't ever lower the amount you have to pay for your cable bill!
  16. That's just nuts! So cool!!!!!!!!
  17. There were three Generals built with that sleeper. All three were prototypes. The sleeper was never put into production. It was made by the Able Body Corp. and was the same sleeper used on Fords and Macks of that time period but with new front sheet metal and upper windows. The one truck was loned to the movie producers by GM to promote their truck line. Overdrive magazine did a write up on it as well. After the filming and the Overdrive article, all three trucks had the sleepers removed and then smaller sleepers were installed on two (I think it was 2?) but the movie truck was sold as a day cab and is still around today in the original paint. It now has a grain body on the rear.
  18. That's what keeps me going as well, Charlie.
  19. So sorry to hear of your loss. Only real pet lovers can understand the pain we go through when we lose a pet we love so dearly. Only time can ease the pain. Try to focus on all the good times you shared.
  20. Very sorry to hear of you losing everything. Be sure and check the pawn shops near where you live!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I just got off the phone with Ebay and I was Extremely mad and I let the supervisor know it!!!!! I have been with Ebay since the very beginning and I've never had a negative or nuetral feedback. I have sold 18 items over the years most items were over 250.00. A lot of them were international sales. I recently sold a few items to keep the bills paid as I am out of work only to find that Paypal has a hold on my money!!!!! I was just told that one of Ebay's requirements to be a "good seller" is to have at least 25 U.S. sales. They don't count the International sales but they still hold your money on them! How unfair is that! Of course the supervisor was acting like a robot and just kept repeating himself. They could care less about the seller but boy, they sure will charge you a fee on everything they can. It's disgusting!! Yes, I know there's other places to sell things but they're not "known" like Ebay is and Ebay knows this!
  22. I'm pretty sure Eric has quite a few things that he doesn't have listed on his website. I sent this thread to him so he should be contacting you soon.
  23. Those look very similiar to the boxes that came in the resin 9300 kits. I am pretty sure Eric at P&P Resins has them.
