  1. I have been trying to take pics from my Photobucket album and put them in a post on here but it won't let me? Normally, when you mouse over a pic on Photobucket, a box slides down with the different links to the pic. That's not working. I tried clicking on the pic to enlarge it and then click on the image link that appears in the box to the right of the photo but that doesn't do anything either?
  2. The only real flaw with these kits, the transporters specifically is that the wheels are wrong. Tyrone had a sponsor called Truck Mate that made the wheels he used on his trucks. He did change the wheels on his transporters but the chrome plated Truck Mate five holes were used the most. These are the wheels that are featured on the box art of the transporter kits. I made these wheels to fit the transporter kits and they are now available in resin.
  3. Hey Lee, the only "real" hobby shop we have left here is HobbyTown Usa. There is Dibbles Hobbies but they cater more to model railroading. They do have models but it a very old selection of kits that are not very desirable as they have been there for years.
  4. Wow, that's spooky! I knew you were talking about Zingers before I clicked on the thread! For me, I love kits like these! I have all the Zingers several times over, all the original Tom Daniels kits, Funsters, etc! They have a huge nostalgia factor and they are just fun to build! They are a great break from building a super detailed exact replica of something!
  5. Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see it all painted and decaled!
  6. Ok, Ernest (the seller) wrote me back and said he could never get ahold of the person after the auction ended and he had to file a Non Paying Bidder alert to get his 30.00 in fees back.
  7. I emailed the seller. He only got 10.00 for the kit. I'm waiting for him to tell me what the bidder of the 340.00 had as an excuse for not paying.
  8. Wow! That turned out great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. That is too cool!!!!!!!!!
  10. I found two that are missing. The AMT North American van lines, Big Rig set that came with the Chevy stepside pickup kit where the empty "filler box' would normally be and the AMT Peterbilt 359 California Hauler with Van trailer. The very first "Truck N Trailer" set as it was called before they started calling them "Big Rig sets". I sold these very two sets to a guy that had every single Big Rig set except those two. He gave me 1700.00 for them plus shipping!!!!!!!!! Cost me 75.00 to ship them in the custom made crate that I built for them to make sure they reached him in perect condition.
  11. I love that little Ford dually flatbed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. LOL, I forgot that I made this post. Great to see you came back Chuck! Looking forward to the decals.
  14. ROFL...............Now you know it's been a while since I've seen the show!!!!!! LOL, LOL I didn't think it sounded quite right when I wrote it?
  15. I was pretty bummed to see that Chuck made the decals for the Dyno Don Fairmont and now he's gone??? I bought one of Scott's kits about a year and a half ago and wanted to build a Dyno Don car with it. I had no idea Chuck was making the decals till it was too late. I emailed him directly but got no response? Does anyone know if his decals will be available from anyone else?
  16. MOTTINNN! ..............Yeah Ralphieeee?
  17. If you make a nice hood master, there are several resin casters that would probably cast it for you. Eric at P&P Resins is one of them. He's here on the forum.
  18. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It would be cool to see the GNX wheels on it. I have several of the GMP 1/24 Grand Nationals and GNX's. One of my GNX's had a missing sun visor so I called them about it. The guy that helped me was so cool!!!! He grabbed a brand new car and took the visor off it and then he asked me if I wanted anything else off of it. I said it would great to have the wheels and tires! He said no problem. I got a box with the visors, floor mats, exhaust system, wheels, tires and I forget what all else! He told me they had several siting there just to use for parts. I just thought that was pretty cool!!!!!!
  19. Great, as always, thank you for keeping us imformed as to the progress!
  20. A while back we were talking about the GM truck rally wheels. My intention was to modify a Monogram 1/24 wheel down to 1/25 and make it more accurate. Well, little did I know, my buddy Jamie (the guy that casts most of my master parts) had already modified the 1/25 (very hard to find) rally wheels from the MPC pickup kit. He was using them to build a replica of his real street machine pickup and was nice enough to take them back off and cast them. Once I get them, I'm going to machine out the center of the deep version and add the appropriate six lug center cap and lug nuts. I'm not sure if these will be available for sale yet but I'll keep everyone posted.
  21. Lou Kroak is still around and still building. He's really into the 1/50 metal model trucks now. Same as Mark Savage. That Peterbilt is VERY nice and very deserving of being the winning model! Especially way back then! It's a shame we can't see it in color!
  22. I agree. The truck does look great though!
