  1. Are you able to sit down at it?
  2. I’m doing a build of a stock 81 Toyota pickup SR5 and really want it to have the SR5 wheels so I asked Joseph at Fireball Modelworks if he could make them. He did an outstanding job (as usual) and they will be available soon on his website. These are being made to be used with the upcoming reissue of the AMT 1980 Toyota pickup and are a huge improvement over the kit wheels! Joseph has tires to fit them as well. Contact Joseph if you’re interested in some! http://www.fireballmodels.info/
  3. Doug Wagner just made a post on Facebook asking who might be interested in getting the Tube type five hole wheels in 22.5”. https://www.facebook.com/groups/340799519321223/permalink/1883279131739913/
  4. Yep, me too! To me the wheels can make or break a model. I actually did machine a plastic kit wheel to use as a prototype of how the aluminum wheels needed to look.
  5. Here’s a pic of the five hole wheel. The two wheels together are preproduction prototypes.
  6. Has anyone painted a candy paint over the Molotow Chome yet?
  7. You’re correct, those 20” tubeless wheels are copies of the kit wheels only in size. I made all the modifications you mentioned. If you check with Doug Wagner, he may be able to have another run of them made. As far as I know, I’m the only person that bought them. Too many people think they’re too close to the kit wheels to justify the price.
  8. I designed those wheels for Doug. I was very picky about getting them just right. We also did Peterbilt oval style and blank with no holes. I also had them make direct copies of the 20” split rim ten hole wheels like those found in the AMT Kenworth kits. The chrome rings from a kit are used to complete them. While we made those, we also made them as five hole wheels as well.
  9. LOL, they’re outa their minds with those prices!!
  10. Has anyone painted or clear coated over the ink (paint?) if so, what were the results?
  11. Supply and demand
  12. Ignant!
  13. Looks like nobody is entitled to their opinion on this thread unless it’s kissin this guy’s hind end! Anything else and your ridiculed and laughed at. I hated the guy, his prices and having to wade through ten thousand of his auctions in my search results! I could care less what anybody thinks of that!
  14. This is the kit I have along with the chrome parts tree. The wheels are similar but smaller, a different “ring” and separate hubs.
  15. Did those BBS wheels come in the kit? I bought that kit specifically for the wheels and it had different ones in the kit! The Revell Toyota MR2 is the same! It shows those BS wheels on the car, on the box but it comes with white finned wheels.
  16. Hey, six year olds need to be employed too!
  17. Nobody likes the Polar Lights stock car kits?
  18. I think it looks awesome!! Great job!
  19. Yep, 352. Looks to be a 72 maybe.
  20. I bought the Ford N Kit from him when it first came out. There was a good wait to get everything but no problems. I do have a friend on here though that said he got his kits.
  21. Is anyone offering the Hellcat as a kit in 1/25 or 1/24?
  22. After seeing this, I decided to get the HobbyBoss version. I was not happy when it got here!! The sorry POS in China literally wrapped the kit box with cardboard to ship it.......from China! There was not a speck of padding between the kit and the outer box! I told the seller I wanted a new kit sent properly with a postage paid label to send this kit back! He offered a refund of $30.00 so I took it. Nothing was broken in the kit, just bent, mainly the trailer gooseneck. Nothing I can’t fix. What I am still not happy with is the box! I like to have decent kit boxes! I can barely even open and close this one! So I ended up paying a total of $50.00.
  23. That is a KW W900L hood that was originally mastered by Bill Drennen. It is designed to be used with the AMT Kenworth T600 kit only. Now there is a resin, more accurate KW cab that fits it though. It was sold by Clint Freeman and then by P&P Resin. Bobby Griffin cast a few as well. It is now available from Jamie at Moluminum.com. This is actually Bill’s second master of this hood as the first release had no inner bracing. The one you have appears to have been cast by either Bobby Griffin or P&P Resin.
