  1. I don't believe I've seen a '49 Merc convertible. This is looking excellent.
  2. Looks like factory. Very nice - and SHINY. :)
  3. Well Don, It just so happens that I got a 40% off coupon for HL today and the chrome Alclad should be in at Rob's. I've been looking for an excuse to get the bike out for a ride, so I might just scoot over there in the morning.
  4. Maybe you should think about supplying a list of the modifications/detailing and set it in front of your build. Or make a sign like the 1:1 cars use at a show.
  5. There's been some recent additions to the Crazy Scale Auto Parts list of resin items available - 427 big block Chevy engine (427C) 12.5mm disc brakes (BRAKE2) 13mm disc brakes (BRAKE3) Acura RSX buckets seats (S19) 1941 Willys bucket seats (S23) Koening 911 Turbo bucket seats (S24) Several other items have been added in the last couple of months - alternators, gas pedals, Holley Dominator carbs, electric fans, differentials, electronic ignition module, and an old style voltage regulator. Check 'em out at Crazy Scale Auto Parts.
  6. The new president of IPMS is a car guy.
  7. I thought it was a real car.
  8. Gorgeous and what a great idea. What's the source of that palm tree? Outlaw035 is looking for a sago palm.
  9. Welcome to the forum, Luis and thanks for posting such a fine looking build.
  10. Looking good, Don. Surprised to see you working on a small scale build. I have to ask - what's the source of that thin suede? What are you using to glue the suede?
  11. Hope it goes well for you, Bill. There's a battery backup sump available and there was one that operated on water pressure.
  12. Has a strange look to it but I really like it.
  13. No #161 in today's mail. Bummer.
  14. I was out in the shop most of the morning and didn't build a thing. My Harley needed cleaning. I'll be going back out there in a little while to continue the building of an '86 Monte Carlo, '58 T Bird, and '39 Chevy, along with slinging some resin into my latest molds.
  15. Maybe something good will happen and the water will go away real quick. I hope so. I'll be keeping you in thoughts and prayers, Bill. Good luck.
  16. Looking good, Ryan. This is a terrific place to get tips & ideas for your builds.
  17. Magazine subscribers should get their copies before the LHS. Where's my copy of #161?
  18. Keep goin' Dr. Cranky. You'll feel such inner peace after doing a SHINY paint job. I can't explain it - you'll just feel the love and togetherness that you'll never do rust again.
  19. Super nice. I love the body lines of this car;.
  20. And this is 1/25th scale? Holy moly. I can't believe the details! Marvelous!
  21. I'm liking this build. Some terrific ideas & work going on. A Baja Beast is sitting in que waiting its' turn to be built in the shop.
