  1. I've been trying since Sunday to get to the MCM forum through IE. I keep getting the message that the website doesn't exist. But I'm getting email notices through aol to replies so people evidently are getting through. Now I'm in a hotel in Washington, DC and can get to the forum but not to aol. I don't know what to do.
  2. Happy Birthday to the greatest fighting force the world has ever seen. SEPMER FI. If you're in the WAshington, DC area, we'll be celebrating the USMC birthday at Froggy Bottom Pum on Pennsylvania Ave. Start about 8:00pm. Cake cutting (youngest & oldest) singing, ext. with Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq, Afghan Veterans and anyone else who would like to partake. It's gonna be good.
  3. Looks lik gold mine for somebody. Why doesn't he sell some of them?
  4. My HL is about a 25 mile mile drive, but I have to take Marcia to the eye doctor tomorrow morning and he's going to dilate her eyes. It just happens we'll be going past HL on the way home. I printed 2 coupons for potential use. Maybe when you move there'll be an HL nearby.
  5. They have many of them marked "long sold out". You going to try and order some? Let us know.
  6. Hobby Lobby 11/08/2010 thru 11/13/2010 has 30% off airbrushes, compressors, airbrush paints & accessories. There is also a 40% off coupon for any one item of regular price.
  7. Welcome to the best model forum around, Ernie. Don't forget to post the results of your build when completed.
  8. Find something the shape you want to bend to and heat the plexiglass very carefully. I've tried it and gave up. Much easier to make angles.
  9. Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, etc. all carry clear plexiglas. Measure what you'll need and cut to size. Use clear silicone caulk on the inside of all seams. Works for me. The larger the sheet size the cheaper per square foot. Cut the sides so they just fit over the edge of your base. The top would then be slightly larger then the base - an 1/8" all the way around. It also helps to have a plexiglass cutter which is actually a scoring knife. Worst case, check out Carney Plastics. They make some wonderful cases.
  10. I use cheap lacquer thinner for cleaning paint brushes no matter which brand/type of paint I use.
  11. WOW!!!! I think you can classify that as a SUPER ROOM.
  12. Bummer, Mike. It'll probably be blamed on the post office.
  13. Terrific paint. Wheels X3?
  14. Yo George. Florida is further from Denver than Detroit. How come we get the magazine on the same day? Terrific issue isn't it? Can't wait for the #153. Hey, Gregg - when's the next issue coming out?
  15. YEAH!!! Issue #152 finally got here today.
  16. I thought you were going to try and pass it off as a model. That's a Holden? Neat looking car - kinda '55 Chevy front end and side trim. Is it a 4 door with the rear door handles removed? What year is it? Very nice work on it only the steering wheel is on the wrong side.
  17. Double sound, David? Probably McQueen goosing the trottle to keep the RPMs up. Sounds cool, huh?
  18. Nice compressor, Greg, and super nice car carrier. Those aren't Gregg's wheels on that Mustang are they?
  19. 16 hours? You need to pedal that airplane faster.
  20. That Reynolds outfit has an office in Tampa, but then I'd have to pay sales tax on top of shipping and I don't do that.
  21. Hasn't made it to FLA yet. I'm hoping I'll see it Monday.
  22. Hopefully your tour will pass quickly and you'll come home safe and sound. Thank you for serving our country.
  23. Looks like you're teaching dad some good stuff.
  24. Get your butt and those kits back down to FLA. The Model Car Builders of Florida want you.
