There's Rob's Hobby World in Ocala.
Hopefully we're going to have a meeting to form the NEW Model Car Builders of Florida on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 11:00am. Stop by.
I buy mostly online. The LHS is mostly R/C airplane. Michaels model car section is a joke. Hobby Lobby has the same stuff all the time. Both Michaels & HL are too expensive so I go there only when they have a sale or I have a 40% coupon.
That was my frustrations coming out, Wayne. Doug has been suggesting Clermont from the beginning and now that it's getting close, people are starting to bail and no alternate place/time has been suggested. What good does it do for only 2 people to meet?
Wal-Mart, K-Mart, CVS, Walgreens - they all carry cosmetic tips things. They're pointy on one end and rounded on the other. They're about the same length as a Q-tip. No shedding either.
Brad,
I'm an action type of person. That's why I came up Oct. 19 at 11:00am figuring interested people would respond with an alternate date/time. We haven't seen that yet. It's like nobody really seems to care. What a pity.
Michaels had that kit and I could have got 50% off - bought the Black Widow '57 Chevy instead. I should ahve gone for the Effie. I love the color and what you're doing to it, Clay.
Super nice looking builds, Jose - except the rat rod pickup. I don't care for rat rod stuff. I can't figure what you did to that silver Mustang - I think it's a Mustang but the roof is different. Looks good whatever it is.
I already did that, Rob. Here's the list.

I made a copy of Florida from an atlas and plotted the cities. Looks to me like Clermont is in the middle.
It'll be a forty - fifty mile drive for me but worth it if enough people say they'll show and we can get a club going.
Doug, will you be sending out actual street address? I'll need it for the GPS.
I have about the same distance to Hobby Lobby & Michaels but the coupons will make the trip worthwhile (hopefully).
Have you checked Chicago Airbrush for the Iwata? I bought my Paasche through them. Price was cheaper than HL with a coupon, no sales tax, and free shipping.
