  1. I haven't given any thought to the structure - just want to try to help to get something going. The chat room idea sounds pretty good. Or we supply a regular email address to Doug McCabe. Or both.
  2. I think you're picking on me, Al. Did you see your beadlocks on my Dodge D50 WIP post? I made a mistake by putting it in the General section instead of the Workbench section. Those wheels/tires do look good.
  3. I didn't care the way the front end fit the body. The engine doesn't have much detail and forget any chassis details. The glass is red! But I liked the body style.
  4. Thank you for the positive comments - I really appreciate them. George53 - SEMPER FI, Brother. Once a Marine, always a Marine. 1st Battalion/13th Marines, Vietnam 1969-70.
  5. I'm attempting to build a real high sitting 2 wheel drive Dodge D50 from the Evil Spirir kit. Power will be provided by a 426 wedge engine. I've scratch built the rear shackles, springs, and shocks. I have wire holding everything together but need to come up with something for final assembly. Those are Ma's Resin (Al Raab) Desert Dog Formula tires and beadlock wheels. I want to have the inside of the wheels body color and do the rim with Alclad chrome. I'm not sure which to paint first and how to mask.
  6. Red & gold are the USMC colors and this is my tribute to the greatest fighting force the world has ever known. It's started as the Street Fighter kit and did some things to the kit. I discovered that I could put a wet coat of clear and immediately dust on another color. I did some red over the HOK Pagan Gold. This was also my first (probably last) attempt at pinstriping, but I wanted to highlight a few areas.
  7. If we keep telling Al how good his work is, he might decide to raise prices. Just kidding, Al. Your items are fantastic and I don't care if you raise the prices.
  8. I'm liking this build.
  9. http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/ Please tell Al I said hi.
  10. Al does some real fine work. I have a pair of his M/T Sportsman and Desert Dog tires with more on order. Also got some bead lock wheels and more on order. Real fine work on everything so far. Super service too!! (Okay Al - you can ship my order before Foxer's order)
  11. Nice job on it.
  12. Nice rack! I have to start checking emodelcars more often.
  13. I'm not a facebook person.
  14. I wasn't aware of that. The old time logo makes sense then.
  15. I'm embarrassed to say that I live less than 20 miles away from Garlit's shop and in the 9 years I've lived here, I've never been to see the place. There was a no billet show a couple of years ago but I wasn't able to make it. A tour for the upcoming NEW MODEL CAR CLUB in Central Florida would be really great! Hope we get lots of responses for the club.
  16. The louvers on the back are excellent. Never saw that before. The pinstripe is very cool as is your artwork on the phaeton. There's just something missing on the Salem Speed Shop logo. I don't know how to explain it - it just doesn't knock my socks off. No piazazz??
  17. You threw me off at first - what happened to Bigwrench1? My personal preference would be daytime during the week. If it's going to be at night, then I vote for Wednesday night. I'm tied up with meetings on the 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday of every month. Don "Big Daddy" Garlits is a friend of yours, Doug? WOW!!! Maybe he'd like us to hold the meetings at his museum. An MCM person made a moel of one of his Swamp Rats and presented it to him.
  18. Waiting to see your results. What kind of wheels will be needed for those tires?
  19. Sorry Jairus, but neither one does anything for me. The shirt you did for the NW show was much better.
  20. A simple google found this http://phonesafety.org/rnd_catalog.cfm
  21. Sure Don. I'll do whatever I can to help out.
  22. It's nice that your daughter gets your nail polish, George. Do you do your toenails too?
  23. Howdy Don, There seems to be about 4 of us that are really intersted and possibly a group out of Volusia County interested. How many it takes, I don't know. Pretty soon we need to get the names together and try to select a place/day/time to meet.
  24. Hey Antonio - somebody posted a question about using nail polish and then I see your post with a beautiful bubble top Chevy. Looks really good. On many bottles of nail polish and what did you use to thin it?
