  1. I rip off 1 end panel and rest of the box goes in the trash along with the directions. Naturally, I save any extra parts.
  2. I'd like to see more pics of that '56, Chas, if you have them.
  3. I think the F-100 Nationals are held at Pigeon Forge, PA but I don't know when.
  4. Looks like Smooth-On only sells the 202 in gallon size - way too much. Alumilite clear will work with Smooth-On molds (RTV) so I'm planning to buy some clear and red dye from Al Raab - Ma's Resin.
  5. Hey Nick - where you been kid? haven't seen you reply or post anything in a long time. I was thinking maybe winter hit and you were snowed in up north.
  6. I was looking at the Smooth-On 202 clear but the Smooth-On rep told me it's for industrial use only. Maybe Aluminite has something.
  7. This looks interesting. I think I'll keep watching the build.
  8. I haven't entered a model show since the mid to late '70s. Here's a pic of a first place entry.

    Fuelie '57

I wasn't sure I'd get to the pics. Long but worth reading and your build came out gorgeous.
  10. Gotta keep watching this build.
  11. Jeff - I have a Smooth-On starter kit. What resin & dye do you use to make taillights? Are they translucent? I'd like to try '59 Caddy lights. This molding and casting stuff is all new to me.
  12. Hope you'll post pics again after re-doing the side trim. Love the color combo and the wheels.
  13. Looking good so far. Waiting to see more.
  14. That's a good one Wayne. Reminds me of my old grade school days.

Thanks Mike. You don't have to be a Veteran to appreciate what the troops do for our country.
  16. Awesome build.

Thank you again. Yes, Mike, I used the spray booth. I originally had the booth near the shop's overhead door. When I wanted to pull out the dune buggy, the booth had to be moved. We've sold the buggy and I've rearranged the shop so it doesn't had to be moved anymore. Besides that, the tool cart I used for the base came with wheels.
  18. Thanks Jon. I wasn't aware of the baking soda trick.
  19. Awesome. Thanks.
  20. I like the way you pulled this one together, Earl. Looks reaally good.
  21. A fine looking Chevelle, Earl. Wonderful details. Any pics of the chassis?
  22. We got some sleep. Got up Friday at 7:00am in Las Vegas and our flight home wasn't until 10:30pm. We arrived in Orlando on Saturday at 6:45am, took a shower and went to our Rolling Thunder meeting at 10:00am. Came home and took a nap. Finally went to bed at 9:00pm and woke up at 8:00am this morning. We had a great time!! My only regret is that we weren't able to hook up with AgentG while we were out there.
  23. Those flares look pretty good, Jon. What do you mean about baking soda being a CA "kicker"?
  24. Looks good in orange & black.
  25. Looks like an interesting build. I'll keep watching.
