  1. I cook at the local VFW every Wednesday (4-6pm) but with enough notice, I can tell them I won't be there. The 2nd Saturday of every month is taken for my Rolling Thunder meeting. This coming weekend is the SE Street Rod Nationals in Tampa and some people said they plan on attending. You looking at during the day or nighttime?
  2. I have some experience with bylaws and parliamentarian procedures and should be able to come up with something suitable. I think it's important that we get the group together and decide what we what to do. When & where?
  3. Looking good, Marcus.
  4. I use the Alyn process of razor saw and miter box. That process leaves burrs inside & out of the tubing so I follow up with a flat file on the end first and then run the file around outside edge. Finally, I clean in the inside with an Xacto blade.
  5. My thoughts and prayers are with Corrie, Mike, and family.
  6. You're gonna keep us posted after you get it, aren't you?
  7. Oh baby, you're looking sweet.
  8. Thanks Justin. Vietnam Veterans were never the "drug crazed baby killers" the media reported. We have always been "just the guy next door." As a group, we wanted things - a memorial to our fallen and missing, a welcome home parade, and respect. It took too many years and we worked our butts off and we got it all. I truly believe that todays troops are treated very well by the public becasue of the issues Vietnam Veterans have gone through. You are a Veteran, Justin and you are my hero. Semper Fi, brother.
  9. That's some nice work and a fantastic paint job.
  10. A sidewinder V8? Paint looks fantastic.
  11. Most of the stuff JBwelda said but I'll either drill out the kit distributor or make my own from 2 pieces of aluminum tubing. I get the ignition wire and wire looms from Scale Dreams. The boot material is from telephone wire - the kind that has 4 wires inside - I strip the covering off and toss the actual wire. I've done several posts that are somewhere in this forum.
  12. I haven't given any thought to the structure - just want to try to help to get something going. The chat room idea sounds pretty good. Or we supply a regular email address to Doug McCabe. Or both.
  13. I think you're picking on me, Al. Did you see your beadlocks on my Dodge D50 WIP post? I made a mistake by putting it in the General section instead of the Workbench section. Those wheels/tires do look good.
  14. I didn't care the way the front end fit the body. The engine doesn't have much detail and forget any chassis details. The glass is red! But I liked the body style.
  15. Thank you for the positive comments - I really appreciate them. George53 - SEMPER FI, Brother. Once a Marine, always a Marine. 1st Battalion/13th Marines, Vietnam 1969-70.
  16. I'm attempting to build a real high sitting 2 wheel drive Dodge D50 from the Evil Spirir kit. Power will be provided by a 426 wedge engine. I've scratch built the rear shackles, springs, and shocks. I have wire holding everything together but need to come up with something for final assembly. Those are Ma's Resin (Al Raab) Desert Dog Formula tires and beadlock wheels. I want to have the inside of the wheels body color and do the rim with Alclad chrome. I'm not sure which to paint first and how to mask.
  17. Red & gold are the USMC colors and this is my tribute to the greatest fighting force the world has ever known. It's started as the Street Fighter kit and did some things to the kit. I discovered that I could put a wet coat of clear and immediately dust on another color. I did some red over the HOK Pagan Gold. This was also my first (probably last) attempt at pinstriping, but I wanted to highlight a few areas.
  18. If we keep telling Al how good his work is, he might decide to raise prices. Just kidding, Al. Your items are fantastic and I don't care if you raise the prices.
  19. I'm liking this build.
  20. http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/ Please tell Al I said hi.
  21. Al does some real fine work. I have a pair of his M/T Sportsman and Desert Dog tires with more on order. Also got some bead lock wheels and more on order. Real fine work on everything so far. Super service too!! (Okay Al - you can ship my order before Foxer's order)
  22. Nice job on it.
  23. Nice rack! I have to start checking emodelcars more often.
  24. I'm not a facebook person.
  25. I wasn't aware of that. The old time logo makes sense then.
