Your Miss Deal looks terrific, Chris. Love the paint.
Somewhere on this forum I posted the article from Car Model magazine. If you can't find it the post, let me know and I can post it again or PM to you.
Box stock the Camaro sat too high. I did the spindle spin and agree it was too high, so I used Evergreen to raise the spindle even higher to lower the front end. I left the rear end because I wanted a slight rake.
Do all the Japanese kits come with LHD & RHD dashboard options? There are some interesting kits out there but I want them in LHD. The pics show RHD and I can't find kit details anywhere.
I would guesstimate the the filter grabs 90%+ of the paint particles. I checked the outside vent and is a very, very minor amount of paint particles there.
I get some paint smell after shooting HOK kandy paint. The smell lasts only a few minutes. My booth is in 20' x 40' steel building.
Thanks Ray & Adam. It's a very nice kit with eveything fitting well. Flash is very heavy and you'll have to spend some time cleaning it up. It's molded in bright orange plastic that I didn't care for - should be white.
Which time? Marcia is my third wife. We met in Illinois for about 6 months, moved to FLA in December and got married in January. We were going to get married as soon as we got here but decided to wait until some biker friends could make it down from Illinois. January 28 will be nine years for us.
Don't just open a window and put the spray booth vent in the space. I would make some type of plate with a hole for the vent tube that would cover the entire open window space. You don't want a breeze to blow overspray back into the house.
Thanks Donald. I almost painted it yellow because a friend of mine bought a yellow '70 1/2 when he returned from Vietnam. Same little bumpers up front. He lives in North Dakota and still has the Camaro.
Here's some pics of the Camaro I just finished. It's painted with HOK Kandy Tangerine with a coat of Tamiya TS65 pearl clear. I used Spyder wheels and a parts box air filter.
