  1. I'm embarrassed to say that I live less than 20 miles away from Garlit's shop and in the 9 years I've lived here, I've never been to see the place. There was a no billet show a couple of years ago but I wasn't able to make it. A tour for the upcoming NEW MODEL CAR CLUB in Central Florida would be really great! Hope we get lots of responses for the club.
  2. The louvers on the back are excellent. Never saw that before. The pinstripe is very cool as is your artwork on the phaeton. There's just something missing on the Salem Speed Shop logo. I don't know how to explain it - it just doesn't knock my socks off. No piazazz??
  3. You threw me off at first - what happened to Bigwrench1? My personal preference would be daytime during the week. If it's going to be at night, then I vote for Wednesday night. I'm tied up with meetings on the 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday of every month. Don "Big Daddy" Garlits is a friend of yours, Doug? WOW!!! Maybe he'd like us to hold the meetings at his museum. An MCM person made a moel of one of his Swamp Rats and presented it to him.
  4. Waiting to see your results. What kind of wheels will be needed for those tires?
  5. Sorry Jairus, but neither one does anything for me. The shirt you did for the NW show was much better.
  6. A simple google found this http://phonesafety.org/rnd_catalog.cfm
  7. Sure Don. I'll do whatever I can to help out.
  8. It's nice that your daughter gets your nail polish, George. Do you do your toenails too?
  9. Howdy Don, There seems to be about 4 of us that are really intersted and possibly a group out of Volusia County interested. How many it takes, I don't know. Pretty soon we need to get the names together and try to select a place/day/time to meet.
  10. Hey Antonio - somebody posted a question about using nail polish and then I see your post with a beautiful bubble top Chevy. Looks really good. On many bottles of nail polish and what did you use to thin it?
  11. I believe I've read posts on this forum that people use lacquer thinner with nail polish. I would think you'd need several bottles of nail polish to be able to mix enough to paint a car. Mad Slammer - check out the '62 Belair post by Torino seven. He used nail polish.
  12. There's always one in the crowd, right? It must be me because I don't mulitples of any kits.
  13. Happy Birthday, Brandon. Sorry I'm late.
  14. Volusia County is around Tampa?? Would these guys be willing to travel to Clermont on the right day & time? Why haven't they replied?
  15. Very nice build. What flavor red is that?
  16. I use the Jon Cole method.
  17. Maybe we should try to select a place/date/time and make flyers that we can distribute to LHS, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc. May be on other model sites (if there are any).
  18. You can get some great looking bead lock wheels and big tires from Al Raab at Ma's Resin. Check it out here. Tell Al I said hi. http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/
  19. Hope Al ships my order before he starts playing with those new tires.
  20. There's folks who post here from Tampa, Ocala, and Hernando but haven't seen them post about this particular subject. Bummer. I thought everybody relatively close would be interested.
  21. Maybe a guy like Al Raab from Ma's Resin would be interested in molding & casting some of puppies?
  22. Looks like a fantastic start with the chassis, Shane. Gonna be watchin'.
  23. Welcome back. Your pickup is looking terrific.
  24. Leesburg/Clermont is about a 40-45 mile one way trip for me. Possibly doable. What day of the week and time you thinking about? Since I don't work, weekday during the daytime would be best. I'm never available on the 2nd Saturday or the 4th Sunday. I usually cook Wednesday 4-6pm at the local VFW. The above sounds negative, doesn't it? Sorry. Don't mean it that way. Just trying to be up front with days/times that I'm locked into. Where do other people live?
