  1. Hiya Steve. Welcome to the forum. How did you ever manage to get a '57 Chevy over there? Romell built his 1/25 Chevelle and is doing the 1:1. I think there's other members who are doing the 1:1 - 1/25 thing too.
  2. Amazing build, John, but then all the stuff you post amazes me. Fantastic! Can you tell me what you used for the air filter screen and where you got it?
  3. Forget my exciting news. Chicago Airbrush sent me the brushable casting kit instead of the pourable kit. UPS will pick up the wrong stuff tomorrow and Chicago Airbrush is sending out the right kit.
  4. UPS just dropped off the Smooth-On Mold & Casting Starter kit.
  5. Reminds me of a good friend who went to te local Harley-Davidson dealer to buy a new bike. He looked and sat and looked more. He finally found one that he really liked and worked a deal. Then he said he's going to think about it. Couple of days later, with his mind made up, went back to the dealer. Bike was already sold. You snooze - you lose!
  6. Supposed to shoot at 5psi.
  7. Go back and get it for me. I'll send the money and postage to you.
  8. Love that bubble top.
  9. Looking good. How about more pics?
  10. I'm happier than a pig in stuff if even one person makes a positive comment on one of my builds. Two or more positive comments and I'm in heaven.
  11. Very innovative. I don't like my marshmellows burnt - just crispy on the outside.
  12. Welcome Will. Did your balsa block win? Great story. Lots of terrific things happening here.
  13. My wife, Marcia, thinks it's stupid for a 62 year old man to "play" with model cars. She can't wait to get home from work to play farmville, check her cafe and her casino on facebook. That's okay though.
  14. That's really neat. I love it.
  15. I enjoy the living heck out of building models and build the very best I can. My builds may not be state of the art or the most detailed build you ever saw, but I enjoy building. I have the money to buy just about any tool, kit, paint, etc. I want, but I draw the line at spending the money on wheels/tires that cost $40 or $50. Pegasus items work for me. I don't buy much PE other than wire looms. While I just love lots of the resin bodies out there, I can't see spending $50 for body and then have to buy a kit for the frame and interior. Maybe I'm just cheap or saving for old age. Whoops - I'm 62. Old age already crept up on me.
  16. And if it wasn't for you Navy type people, Brad, who would carry our luggage. Gotta go now. It's Friday and you know what that means - pizza, pool, popcorn, and WWE wrastlin'. Later.
  17. This might be a good time to mention that we will be celebrating the 235th birthday of the MARINE CORPS on November 10, 2010. The place will be Froggy Bottom Pub on Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, DC. The time will 8:00pm. We know there will be several Vietnam Veterans, Iraq & Afganistan Vets, Desert Storm/Shield Vets, Gold Star Mothers (including one whose Marine son was awarded the Medal of Honor. Cake will be cut by the youngest & oldest and served to all by members of the Navy. Oh, we also plan to be at the official ceremony at the Iwo Jima Memorial in the morning.
  18. And you know G? I really believed I was going to be issued sunglasses.
  19. Put the gold base coat on the '60 Chevy S/D. Clear coated the '70 Eldorado. Got the silver base coat on the '66 Nova pro-street.
  20. Wow. That's a super nice looking build. I gotta try that nail polish someday.
  21. Fantastic, Peter. I'm going to keep watching this fantastic build. Right now though, I have to agree with Old-Hermit and go have a butt.
  22. I didn't have to login again and here I am.
  23. Welcome Chris. I've been in the Dallas/Ft.Worth airport a couple of time.
  24. TAOM. I googled and got Texas Association of Magicians. Really. Sounds like you're kind of getting air support for the troops. Since you're in for so long, why go for 20 and get a pension? PI? Real MARINES go through San Diego (Platoon 1081, September 10, 1968). SEMPER FI, BROTHER. Thanks for keeping us safe and you keep yourself safe too.
