  1. Right - no 40% off sale items. They don't like it when you buy something, walk to the car to store, and then walk back into the store for another purchase. So print a couple of coupons and bring a friend who isn't into models with you.
  2. Jon, I can possibly borrow a wheelchair from my VFW post. That would be in Florida - don't know where you're at. I hyperextended both knees in a motorcycle accident in August 2000. After the accident the Illinois cold was not good on the knees. I moved to FLA in December 2001. Gotta have warmth on the knees.
  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Looks like I just saved myself some money at Hobby Lobby. Maybe I'll put the money I saved on the cleaner towards a new airbrush. Any suggestions there? My Badger 200 is a bottom feed, single action. I'm not sure if a dual action is what I want or need.
  4. That's cool that you posted the coupon Casey. I don't know how to do that. I signed up for email notices from Hobby Lobby so every Sunday I get their ad emailed to me. Michael's has an email notice too.
  5. I've recently started using my old Badger 200 airbrush. I take the tip off and the needle thing out and clean them after each use. I've seen an airbrush cleaner that looks interesting. It looks like a bottle and I guess you spray the airbrush into it to clean. Has anybody used one? Are they any good? Hobby Lobby has it for $18 and I can get 40% off next week.
  6. Just in case you missed my other post - 30% off airbrushes at Hobby Lobby this week.
  7. 1/87 scale - that's vry tiny isn't it. I used to have an Aurora racing set and I think the cars were 1/43 scale. So this is about half the size? That's very tiny, but your diorama looks to be going very well.
  8. $230 for a plastic car kit? I've been complaining about having to pay $18.00 for a kit. Looks like there's a ton of detail in the kit, but it still seems expensive - to me anyway. Maybe it's the fixed income I have.
  9. Randy - you mentioned the current issue of MCM. Which issue would that be? I picked up the November 2009 issue just 2 weeks ago at my LHS. Tomorrow is February already. The plate looks great and I'd like to try it out.
  10. Fantastic Eero. The detail is tremendous. I really like the valve stem on the tires. How did you do that?
  11. This week at Hobby Lobby they 30% off airbrushes, compressors and airbrush paints. There is also a coupon worth 40% off any one item of regular price. If it weren't for that wording, I'd have gone and bought another airbrush or compressor - for 70% off? Why not? I might go and check out a new airbrush anyway.
  12. Sharp looking build.
  13. Very cool. You hit the weathering on the button.
  14. Hopefully next week it'll be done and I'll post more pics.
  15. The trunk is open in the kit so yeah, the whole trunk interior will be flocked. I added a hinge and filled the recess (I think a spare tire was carried back there.
  16. Thanks Nick. It certainly wouldn't have happened if you didn't post the trailer hitch how-to. Please consider submitting the how-to article.
  17. Looks so real that it's unreal. Amazing!
  18. I'm finally getting something done. Here's the interior for my street '33 Willys. I tried my hand at tuck & roll and making my own arm rests w/door handles. There's flocking in there too. The body is painted and cleared and hope to complete it next week.
  19. James - my avatar pic isn't a model. It's a real 1:1 EMPI Imp. And it's for sale. There could be a market (swap & trade) for some of your uncles old models. Some people around here (MCM forum) go nuts for that old stuff.
  20. It's been working for me too. Must have been a hiccup.
  21. Okay Nick. Here you are. And in case anyone is wondering, Nick did a how to tip some time back about making a trailer hitch. I followed Nick's instructions & pics on this build.
  22. I used it on a Ford F150 that hauls the scratch built teardrop trailer. I'll have to take some pics - I'll try to get them up tomorrow.
  23. But it would be good to share with fellow model builders. I followed your instructions & pics without a problem. Come on. You can do it.
  24. Nice rack, Rick. When you finish those models, are you going to put a sheet of plexiglas over the front to keep the dust off?
  25. I like it and might be interested in an XL shipped to Florida.
