  1. I voted model because it looks like a model.
  2. Congratulations, Benjamin. What are your plans for the future?
  3. Great pics. Thanks. All those kits stacked up - does 1 guy sell/trade those or are they just for club members?
  4. I use only Model Car Wax. Dawn - the blue stuff.
  5. Yo Dave, I'm over on the left coast of FLA - a little south and west of Ocala.
  6. For Christmas I got 10 HOK kandy colors along with a silver and a gold basecoat. Just today I sprayed half the spoon with silver and half gold. Then I sprayed the whole spoon with the individual colors. On the inside of each spoon I printed the code and name of the paint. As I get more paints, I'll continue the coding. Blue over silver looks blue, but blue over the gold looks green. That's about the first time I used an airbrush and it was fun. I can't wait to do a whole body.
  7. I used to enter LHS contests. I have no idea who the judges were or if they touched my models. Since I don't do contests anymore, I don't have much of an opinion on the subject. How's that for taking a stand?
  8. I've had clear parts in the purple pond and had no problems with the "glass" other than it was nice and clean.
  9. I won!!! I voted for model and was right. Is there is prize?
  10. Way to go George. Marcus - will that model bring you out of the doldrums?
  11. Awesome! It can't be 1/24 scale though, can it?
  12. No more waiting. I want to see the trailer! Please?
  13. Pretty neat but it looks like it scraping the ground.
  14. I'm proud of name and it's right there on every one of my posts. You have a thankless job Harry. I don't envy you, but I'm glad you're there doing what needs to be done. Thank you.
  15. I previously replied to this post in favorable terms. But then Harry posted about following the rules of this forum and I don't have a problem that either. But one of the rules is to have your real name in your posts. So when will that rule be enforced?
  16. I've heard of people using the propel stuff in a can, a spare tire, and an air tank instead of a compressor. I've also heard that the air compressor should have an air tank on it. I have a badger 150 and a no air tank compressor that I've used only a couple of times. Recently I purchased a compressor with a 3 gallon tank and have it all set up on my paint booth. Christmas brought me a bunch of HOK paint. I have some nail polish laying around. I think all I need is warmer weather. If anyone is interested in my old compressor, I'd be willing to trade it for 3 complete, unbuilt kits.
  17. I guess this means the days of the MCM Forum Soap Opera are over. That's fine with me. I've always liked it here and maybe now it'll be an even better place. Thanks for putting your foot down Gregg.
  18. The set of large wheels went in the mail Monday. You should have them soon.
  19. http://www.chrometechusa.com/ I've never used them but other MCM people have and said the service is pretty good. BarehuggerDave does water based chrome but I don't know if he does just his stuff or does for others too. I've tried Alclad either but some people say it's good stuff.
  20. I think the welding cylinders are supposed to be green and orange although I don't remember which color is for which cylinder.
  21. That's different but very nice.
  22. Pretty cool idea. Sleeved the rear wheels. The wheels look like Pegasus. Does that mean you bought the extra parts to make them deeper? I've seen the parts online but never bothered with them.
  23. I like your version much better than the box art.
