  1. Thanks. I thought it was a JoHan kit but the box art showed a red. white, & blue Scrambler. I thought all factory Scrambler's were those colors.
  2. The rims are some Aoshima things I had laying around. I can get the name & number if you want. The paint is Testor's Fiery Orange with Go Mango on the bottom. The pipes are polished aluminum tubing.
  3. Hey Justin - I think I'm going to start putting the Vietnam ribbon colors on every model I build from now on. My involvement with Vietnam Veterans goes back to 1970 when I came back as one. Next weekend we're bringing The Wall to Ocala, FL and we're going to celebrate being Veterans, we're going remember our fallen heroes, we won't forget our POW/MIAs, going to recognize the families of Veterans and we're certainly going to thank those who are serving now. Brandon - the color is Testor's lime green out of the rattle can, Tamiya clear, and Model Car Wax.
  4. Thanks Nick. It's actually a very nice kit. Comes with a V6 but I wanted the small block.
  5. Always liked this little car, but not the giant hood scoop - so I changed to a lower scoop. Wheels may look stock but are from the parts bin and are larger than stock. I couldn't resist putting some junk in the trunk.
  6. Completed my '53 Studebaker in 2 tone OTB build with aftermarket wheels/tires and wire form exhaust, shaved the door handles and emblems, rolled the front & rear pans.
  7. This is the Waverider S10 I got from Lyn. Mostly OTB but I slid a small block Chevy engine in there that came from a Parts Pack. The exhaust is that wire art stuff - lighter than solder but hard to bend.
  8. Sounds right about the Ziploc. Did some research on Kemi. Are you going to go to the ice castle? A 20.75% tax sounds very high. Does a city of 22,000 have a hobby shop or do you mail order everything? I'm amazed that you're halfway around the world and we share a hobby. This is very cool. Nick -50C is -58F!! No wonder everything was closed. Somebody would have to be really dumb to go out in that temp. It would be only seconds for bare skin to freeze.
  9. Strip the chrome off the stock housing and glue in place. When dry, file/sand the housing. Apply Squadron Shop putty as needed. Sand, prime, paint.
  10. -3 Celcius works to 26.6 Fahrenheit. That's cold!! We've been around 93-94 Fahrenheit the last few days. But that's why I left Chicago for central Florida. Got tired of the cold and white stuff falling from the sky. Janne - I just looked up Finland. You're almost to the North Pole. Holy cow!! It's a little after 6:00pm here - time to start making dinner. I'll be on the computer in the morning. Have a good one.
  11. You said a bad word! That cold, white stuff that falls from the sky. I haven't seen it or said that word in 9 years.
  12. Glen, what I did on my almost complete S10 was to strip the plating off the stock taillight housings, glue them in and then putty over them.
  13. Say what? Windows translater? Didn't know of such a thing, or are you pullin my leg? Maybe it's the heat that got to you. It's about 94 over on this side.
  14. Kinda hard to read that Finnish forum, but I see the results. How did you pick 19 days?
  15. Love the paint and front end treatment. I'm working on a '69 Camaro and trying to think of a different taillight treatment.
  16. Don't care much for lowriders but your execution of this Impala is outstanding. The paint and wheels are gorgeous!
  17. This sure has lots of info for modelers. Take it somewhere else.
  18. Looks great. I've never done a resin body. So you buy a body and then have to buy a similar kit to get the chassis, interior, glass, etc? If so, what happens to the body that came in the kit?
  19. Ken's Fuzzi Fur in Bright Red flocking. Elemer's Glue used over the painted surface. I should be done with it later this week ansd will post on "Under Glass" then.
  20. Unbelieveable details. Excellent looking dio. What's the talk about Jacksonville? Is there a model show coming up?
  21. Very nice looking Trans Am. Terrible video - it was too jumpy.
