  1. I LIKE it! The hollowed-out grille really adds to it also. I If I may, I'd suggest smoothing that door hinge. Keep up the great custom work!
  2. Hi Paul, Nice kustom! I'd vote for leaving the B-pillars upright. The Coral with Sombreros sounds like a winning plan. The Corvette taillight idea would be unique. Another taillight idea could be '50 Pontiac units from the AMT '34 Ford - latest release. Put them just inboard of the fenders, maybe? I'm glad to see this one resurrected! Matt
  3. Interesting. I never noticed the box markings were that different. I can't add much more info, other than that there was a #18 Brad Doty Coors Light release in this generation of kits. He was a teammate to Steve Kinser, and his car had more red on it than Steve's. HTH.
  4. WHOA! What a beauty! I might have ordered that color combo in '60. So nice! Neat weatherstrip detailing around the trunk opening and the speedometer pod too. Great work.
  5. "Release dates, be damned!" -Wally Even Tower Hobbies has it in their catalog as "Late August." That said, thanks for the sneak peek, Tom. I really like that red version!
  6. Me too. Good to see you online again, Tom. The Cuda looks great! I have GOT to get back to my '74 one of these years...
  7. I'm still working (slowly) on these two soon-to-be-black '40s. I'm really enjoying block sanding these. Maybe it's because you can't really mess anything up at this stage of the build, so there's no pressure.
  8. Thanks for the pictures, Bob. The proportions on the Uptown 300C SRT-8 look perfect! I'm very excited about this, since the AMT body didn't look quite right to me. I'll be adding this kit to my get-list now.
  9. Schone! Wild & crazy, as usual, Dave. Weathering is perfect, and nice lettering job too!

Dang, That is nice! Those wheels are gonna look great. I have to admit, this build and Marcos Cruz's actually made me go out and purchase this kit. What size wheels are those? I've got a set of Aoshima 19s that I hope will fit nicely under there.
  11. End of the year? Flathead with speed parts? There IS a Santa Claus! Wow, this is great news. Thanks for the hints, Lyle.
  12. I love the look of this one, Steve! The modified parts make a great foundation for a hot rod. Keep us posted. Glad to see you back at the bench!
  13. Hey Andy! Good to see you building hot rods! I like that simple black scallop, and the firewall looks like a good save to. Way to go! Matt
  14. WOW. Very nice work! Thanks for all the in-progress photos too.
  15. That's built my way too! Nice build.
  16. Nice! So clean.
  17. Nice vee-dubya! Great color and wheel choice, Dave. Glad to hear the slump's broken. Now...get back to that mean little A-bone hot rod.
  18. Clean & low. Yup, that sums it up! That's a great looking bike. Color, rake, tank, shifter - everything comes together so well. Nice job!
  19. That looks great! Killer stance. Makes me want to go get an Impala out of the box...
  20. John, Sorry to hear this. The Adirondack Glue Crue was a big part of my early modeling experience. Hopefully you can get his cars together for a display in Jersey. My condolences to his wife & daughters. RIP Paul...
  21. The '32 Sedan is great news! 2n1 most likely means fenders or not, and two sets of wheels/tires. Please, Revell, make one of them the Rat Rod whitewalls! And how about the '40 Ford Convertible flathead in there while you're at it? Or the Caddy engine from the upcoming '49 Merc? Pleeeeeze?
  22. Lookin' good, Olle! I love that color combo, and your details/improvements look to be well worth the time you put in. Those inner fender tabs are a neat little detail. As for the decals, if you're going to lay down some dullcoat, maybe just use a wooden toothpick to press the corners into the wet/tacky dullcoat?
  23. Nice build, Bob! That is purdy.
  24. I agree - That roof really enhances the '62's lines. I assume the front of the roof has yet to be raised up and attached? Nice work so far!
