For my next project I wanna build an old dodge pick up with a John Deere paint scheme and muscle truck look. I need to know if any of the paint companies make John Deere green and yellow and I also need to know if anyone is producing John Deere decals or know of anyone who would make them for me?? I'm also looking for '70's Dodge p/u kit. Does anyone produce any diesel motors?? THANKS, ABE DOOLEY P.S. I'm looking for spray cans and small jars of paint.

Heres some pics of the hose clamps I made from the left over photo-etch frame. All I did was cut a piece that was like an "L" and wrapped it around it and bent the piece stickin out over the peice that overlapped and bent the extra back on its self. Pretty nifty, eh?? Now I just need to go and get a big piece of the screen that goes in your faucet and I'll have me some cheap grill screen inserts. I'd imagine that if your just covering something like a fog light sized hole you could just use the ones cut for your sink. I think I might have to take the faucet apart! Hope this helps someone. If not, it helped me. THANKS, AB DOOLEY -
Some ??'s about Krylon's Glitter spray
abedooley replied to abedooley's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I just decided to test it on paper plates. I've discovered that it doesn't show very well THROUGH the gloss black. I'm torn between either a heavy spray of the glitter or a light spray. Heres some pics. Heavy spray with the flash on on the camera. Heavy spray without the flash. Light spray without flash. Light spray with flash. If ya got any suggestions, I'm more than happy to hear them. And thanks for the advice Bill. I would hate to have found that out the HARD way!! THANKS, ABE DOOLEY -

I've also noticed that the FINE grill mesh that Model Car Garage sells is just the same as the screen you put in your faucet. I think I'm just gonna rename this post and put all my ideas on it. what do ya think? ABE DOOLEY -
TOO BAD FOR ME I WROTE IT ON MY CALENDER AND WITH ALL THE FLOODING GOING ON, I TOTALLY FOR GOT ALL ABOUT THE GOOD GUYS SHOW!!!!! I couldn't have made it anyway with being trapped and all that fun stuff.. I haven't been to a good guys show in like 12 years! I've wanted to go every year, but I always forget until the last minute and dont save enough money to have any fun. I've made it to the 4WHEEL and OFFROAD JAMBOREE every year since I was 9 though! HILLBILLY AT HEART! Kid at heart too.. I have more fun than my boys at the shows. They absolutely love going to the Jamboree and other car shows! They're gearheads just like dear ol' dad!! Me and my youngest are also BIG John Deere fans too. I've had him hooked on John Deere since BEFORE he was born. I bought so much baby John Deere stuff when she was pegnant with him. The only thing he doesn't have alot of is the BIG John Deere toys. I just can't bring myself to spend that much on something thats just gonna get rammed into other trucks! I'd like to buy some of the really expensive stuff for me, but I know I'D just wind up rammin into other trucks too!!

Heres the north entrance to my trailor park. This is some propane tanks from Silgas about a half mile away. There is 21 tanks laying in this field. Silgas is in the background. They were behind a chain-link fence that was ripped apart. Just thought I'd share that with ya. THAT CAR IS ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!!! -

I've also noticed that paper clips are about the same size and come in many different colors and sizes as well. Another cheap fix I found was to save the left over metal from the photo-etch frames and use them for the hose clamps. -

I remembered that my mom has an old wordrobe in her garage that she has never used. I'm gonna go over there as soon as the flood waters go down and get it and put it in my room and pick someones idea and run with it. Just dont know if I need a really strong fan or if a double window fan is enough? THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED... ABE DOOLEY -

I remember a time we went to GOOD OL' 'TUCKY for a family reunion when I was like 9 and my lil' brother was 4 and we went to a Waffle 'n' Steak and they didn't have biscuits and gravy and my brother and I cried until Dad said we could go somewhere that has biscuits and gravy. Its tradition that on fathers day that Dads dont have to cook the biscuits and gravy. But my ol' lady cant cook it as good as I can so I still cook it. -

WOW!!! THIS GUY IS SPOT ON!!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SAY FOR SOOO LONG!!!! ANYONE WHO THINKS LIKE A LIBERAL ON THIS SUBJECT SHOULD JUST GIVE IN TO THE GOVERNMENT NOW AND LET US HAVE OUR FREEDOM!!! F!@$ BUSH!!! The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. -THOMAS JEFFERSON HERE'S SOME REALLY STRONG WORDS: Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government. -THOMAS JEFFERSON A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. -SECOND AMENDMENT Basically what this means is that if WE THE PEOPLE fell that our rights are being taken away we have the right and OBLIGATION to defend our freedoms! -ABE DOOLEY ABE DOOLEY -

WOW!! Thats a whole lotta bridges... We live just 10 miles or less from the Atterbury miltary base and thats all I've heard for the last 3 days is the helos and BIG helos overhead. I've seen a bunch of Super Cobras, Apaches, and Sea Knights. I usually love it when them BIG birds fly over my trailor and rumble stuff off the wall, but I know what they're headin' to and it makes me sad. I went to Jay-c in Edinburgh the day of the floods and I saw so many kids with there parents and you could tell they had to wade in the water with their parents. The poor things were wet all the way to their chests. A lot of them looked scared. I just wanted to take them home with me and give 'em a dry place to stay. I also felt sorry for the people who were stranded at the gas stations on 31 because 31 North and 65 South were closed. A lot of people were trying to get home from work to be with their families and were in the parking lot trying to get a hold of them to see if they were okay and couldn't because their power was out. Talk about a mind screw!! I think that would be the worst thing in the world to not know if your family is okay or not. Yet, only 1 person lost their life in this big mess. Thats still too many to me though. And we still have more rain coming right now as I write this. I can hear the thunder getting louder and louder by the minute and many people are still without a home to escape to or they're in a home that still has a good chance of flooding. The water is so soaked that it would only take about half the rain we saw the other day to cause another flood like that one or worse. And a lot of places are still filled with water. ITS A SAD SAD WEEK. ABE DOOLEY

I was wanting to either put it under the black gloss to give it a light red flake or over the gloss black. I'm paintin my Challenger gloss black with Red stripes up the hood then down the body line and back. Its pretty thick with flake so I'm thinking I might need to put it under the last light coat of balck. Its just a clear with red flakes. I just dont wanna screw it up seeins how I screwed up the first paint job with Krylon's textured shimmer. Was hopin someone else has tried it and learned before I use it. THANKS, ABE DOOLEY -

I've got plenty of this stuff just layin around. I'm gonna look and see if I've got any that looks like stainless. If not I'll just paint it. -
Oh, this is the north entrance to my trailor park. Theres 3 small ponds that sit in between the median and then thers two bigger ponds that sit at the top of the hill and flow down into the smaller ones. The 2 ponds at the top have NEVER flooded until now. I think the drainage pipes got clogged and couldn't flow down. Heres a pic of the top pond. About 7 feet over usual level. The piece of wood you see in this pic is actually a bench that sits about 5 feet from the edge of the water usually. This is the second from top pond. This thing is still flowing out.

HEY GUYS I'M HERE!! I didnt get it too bad because I live on a hill in my trailor park. I went out yesterday to take some pics and it was HEARTBRAKING!! The day before yesterday I couldn't get into town or out of where I live. I've got some pics on my photobucket and I'm gonna put a few on here. We are almosty completely surounded by rivers. We've got Hawcreek, Flatrock, White River, and one more I think. Plus the dam in Prince's lakes blew out and flooded that area plus met with White river in Edinburgh and flooded edinburgh REALLY bad. I drove around Edinburgh and it is just terrible there as well. The water from Prince's lakes was flowing down the hill about a mile or 2 away and hitting 31 north then running into white river. It was really wierd driving out onto 31 and seeing a wall of water flowing downhill where theres usually a road. Theres 21 propane tanks in a field from Silgas. The water pushed the tanks through a chainlink fence and some of the tanks are almost a mile away. Some were caught in a drainage pipe. Mapleton and Pleasentgrove in Columbus got it worse than anyone. They sit almost level with Hawcreek and sit down in a valley. I got some pics of that as well. This pic is taken from Hope Ave. looking down on Mapleton. This is facing west on 5th st. towards Mapleton. This guy has had this boat on blocks since I was like 2 or 3. You can see where the water was by where the mud is. It was all the way over the cars and up to the roofs and completely over some houses. This is Pleasont grove. This is the alley between Mapleton and Pleasentgrove. This is the 7th Street bridge over Hawcreek. Mapleton and Pleasentgrove are just to the right across the creek of where I took this pic. If you wanna see more pics with explanations I have more onmy photobucket. http://s133.photobucket.com/albums/q59/abe...ood%20pictures/ THANKS, ABE DOOLEY

HELLOOOO??? Is Myspace okay or not???? -
I figured that it wouldn't be healthy for the plastic just by the way brake fluid smells... Everyday I see some around-the-house-off-the-shelf stuff used in some new and fascinating way (at least to me anyway) when you would have never thought it had any use except what it was made for. So, do you rub it on and off or do you dip it for a min. or 2. Or is it too harsh to dip at all?? THANKS, ABE DOOLEY

I had no idea that you could use brake fluid to remove paint!! Does it matter what kind of paint or how cured it is?? NEED... MORE....INFO..... PLEASE??? ABE DOOLEY
