  1. SNIPING???? I NEVER SEEN A SNIPER AT THE HOBBY SHOP!!! Never really could understand the whole bidding and waiting thing for something that is sitting on a shelf less than 5 miles from where you are sitting unless its something you cant find at all... I dunno, just my opinion.
  2. That looks awesome!!! I beleive I can mix all of these techniques.....
  3. NOW THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!! Post some pics of some of your pipes...
  4. What size solder would equal 3" pipes?? 1/8??? Does solder wire come in that size??? I would love to see the pics of those pipes... abedooley@sbcglobal.net
  5. I was just wondering how many different ways everyone uses to paint their exhausts. If you could show pics of progress, paint, and procedures that would be awesome. I'm sick of the plain ol' silver or gray exhaust look. I really like the way the exhausts look on the drag cars and NASCARS. I also wanna know what kind of materials everyone uses for home made exhaust.... THANKS ALOT GUYS!! ABE DOOLEY
  6. THANK YOU STUMP! It was pretty easy to do and its really effective! I thinned it out a little and put a VERY small dab on my finger and just rubbed it over where I wanted it and put a lil' extra on the spots that would be worn more than the rest. Its really that easy!!

  12. Now THAT is definately different!! And COOL!!
  13. I couldn't believe how easy it was to apply this stuff!! Since I've tried that, I've been wanting to try all kinds of stuff. Today I even made my own throttle body spring. I've also been running wires for the battery, and making lines for the brakes. I went to Radio Shack the other day and bought some of those resistors for the fuel filter. You guys have inspired me to try a little bit of everything.. Here's the throttle body. I think it turned out okay. The rest I'll show when its finished. Thatnks for the tips and comments.
  14. WOW!!!!! That is amazing! Thats a whole lot of different effects... and none of them conflict with each other?? I was wanting to try the dupli-color stuff, and I was told it was to scale and real crisp.. VERY NICE MIKE!!! I AM VERY IMPRESSED!!
  15. Have you ever used the spanish copper for anything Marcus??
  16. I WILL BE TRYING THIS TRICK!! I have some 22 gauge hard line, is that the same gauge as the solder you used?? Have you ever thought about using a tube the same size and making it a working dipstick?? COULD BE AWESOME ..... I just might try that.
  17. I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW EASY IT WAS TO APPLY THIS STUFF!! It is the simplest, cheapest, and most realistic trick I have seen yet!! I got some spanish copper today to play with and see what it would look good on... I thought it'd be funny to copy your pic since I copied it from you... I thought I'd give it a try on the mufflers and rear end too, and I think it turned out pretty dang good. THANKS FOR THE TIP MARCUS!!!
  18. WHAT'D I TELL YA??? BILL IS THE MAN!!!! BILL, PLEASE, WRITE A BOOK!!!! YOU COULD MAKE PLENTY OF MONEY AND YOU COULD MAKE ALOT OF US MUCH MORE TALENTED!! Another good person to talk to about SUPERDETAIL is TREEHUGGER DAVE. Look for his "LIL' MIXER". http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12511 TALK ABOUT SUPER COOL!!! TREEHUGGER DAVE IS AMONG MY TOP 2 FAVORITE BUILDERS HERE!!! HE EVEN HAS HIS OWN CHROMING SYSTEM!! There are so many talented people here, and I'm sure alot of them I dont even know about. The best thing to do is just go through the "Under Glass" posts and look at everyone of them. I'm now on page 13 of 47 and its taken me nearly 2 months to get that far because there are so many that i just sit and look at every detail for at least an hour. Also look for Marcos Cruz's CUDA!! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12156 Talk about BADA$$!!!! I LOVE THIS SITE!!! I just cant get enough!! I started a 70 Dodge Challenger BEFORE I saw this site and AFTER I ran into it I immediately stripped the paint off of the small parts and ordered a new body and started COMPLETELY over. I was nearly half way done and just couldn't stand the way it looked after seeing EVERYONE'S builds!! This site has inspired me like nothing else has before and I doubt anything AFTER!!

  21. If you've been here for awhile then you know that Bill Geary is the man to talk to AND listen to. He can answer ANY question you would have on that subject (or any other subject for that matter).
  22. WOW!!! That looks amazingly real!! It's a 69 Daytona Charger. Right now I'm working on a '70 Dodge Challenger. I am going to try that.. That is just too cool!! Thanks. I thought people were buying those... The ones I have saw were probably home made too. Did you spread the glue around the top and down the sides to make it look even?? I really appreciate the tip.
  23. Columbus here... Goin to a meeting for the first time next month here in Columbus.... Brian Fishburn is also from your area. I'm quite surprised at how many people are from the "corn capitol of the world".
