  1. SOME WORTHWHILE INFORMATION HERE PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep it for reference .
  2. Coming up soon, yes, they'll do it again and the Motorcycle classes were re -instated ! Hey, these guys really support this forum and they always submit pictures to the M C M Contest annual too. besides , this show kicks off the fall schedule for most Mid Atlantic residents .
  3. That is where Budd Anderson first started, uh at Revell. he was a product designer for them and yes, A M T and revel, then still Gowland and Gowland were in a loose partnership .
  4. Very interesting ! I wasn't aware of a 78-79 F-100 ever being cast . I own a 78 Flareside myself and I used to own a 79 F-300 .
  5. Ken, here in da lan dat time forgot, Richmond Va. we don't have any thing close to what you have . We have a Hobby lobby, provided you can fight the traffic out in the FAAAAAAARRR west end . it's akin to trying to switching lanes most times on I-40-trying to get off I-495 in D C or trying to get onto the I-5 in Los Angles .
  6. FINE job young man, keep up the GOOD work !
  7. I asked Budd Anderson this very question way back in 1963 . Would you believe he actually wrote back wondering the same thing ? Yes, any construction / road building equipment is something I'd actually invest in . I bought the Ertil tractors when they got re -issued in the mid 90's . I bought a couple of Caterpillars too . I'd like to back date one of them. I just haven't done so yet . I even have access to older Caterpillars too............
  8. I'm cheap. Therefore it's the ole Frosted Cellophane tape . For Glue , uh Elmers and Ace 5 minute epoxy for windows and clear parts . I use Testors Model Master liquid as a base cement to do a joint . When the part requires Super Glue , I use either the Gorilla brand and Loc Tite . They both seem to do a decent job
  9. I didn't anyone built those kits . The prices I've seen on da Bay would certainly keep me from building one . Nice looking model , seriously !
  10. Wayne , I notice you didn't include an antenna , how come ? Great turn out by the way !!!!!!
  11. What wiring, where to, uh what devices ??????
  12. Good to know yer back Terry!
  13. Dan, you're correct ! The original 64 Corvette annual trailer was a single axle . I think it was modified for a couple of combination issues it showed up as a quad ................
  14. Yes, that trailer only really saw action with the 1964 Corvette annual . It was actually an accurate trailer depicting a nicely built "Back Yard Job too".
  15. Interesting model of a vehicle that wasn't too often seen in it's day ....................
  16. Trying to post pictures here anymore reminds me of Los Vegas an a dice game
  17. can't get pictures to post
  18. I wish I known about that glue when I was building a Gilmore station! That would have saved me a whole lotta grief !
  19. Nice job sir !
  20. It's a gamble , Yes . Interesting thought though ..........................
  21. James, I best see dese in Norfolk now ! Really nice stuff too.
  22. Folks , that IMEX Cadillac is not an easy build . I built the H T myself an I consider myself to be a competent builder too. Everyone's work is so over the top here !!!!!!!!!! OUTSTANDING !
  23. Richard, it already looks like a winner !
  24. Someone earlier mention the hobby is becoming a Niche , I agree. As Harry posted , yes , fewer are buying . Me , I'm probably spending at least twice as much on a given build as a couple of years ago for a couple of reasons . One , stuff is costing a lot more . I'm also building a few pieces I thought were actually beyond my skills too. Combine that and the inflation , I've got a much larger expenditure than I had even two years ago .................
