    1941 Lincoln

You can always e-mail the Early Ford Club of America on these cars . The club recognizes any Ford, Mercury , or Lincoln from 1932- 1953 . We recognize all Flathead sixes , eights and of course the Lincoln 12 cylinder ............. The brown would have been correct . The blue conceivably could have been done at a dealer shop ................

  11. Mike , actually, a kit WAS available . Problem is , it was an S M P annual and then only sold as a Promotional . I remember wayyyyyyyyyy back I think it was F & F who actually offered it as a resin kit .When Ed Fluck passed away and his son took over an became Drag City, we lost a lot of really good stuff.Yes, this and several other trucks off the top of my head would make GREAT candidates for an "Enterprising " model manufacturer to re release or do a new tool of ...................

  13. Jim, they made the hood weak in the middle so the dang things would fold in a front end collision . Problem was , NO ONE greased the hood hinges ! So....................., what happens , the hoods folded anyway ! Then folks like me started manufacturing Chevrolet Hood stiffners to folks around Houston . OH Man, I couldn't keep em around back in da day . Gee, I wish it were 1976 again an I was still in Houston makin all da mo mo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Chuck, I have NEVER understood anyone that would drive a van of any kind wiff dem "Suicide Mirrors ". Yeah, I used to sell fiberglass covers that fit over them. I have them on my 78 Ford Stepside . Soon as I can get a free day, They're going BYE BYE ! I finally found a complete set of Ford manufactured "Below Eye level mirrors " I'm tired of squinting every time I'm backing a trailer into the drive with them on the truck . I like the color on the van .................
  17. Tom, usually on the large trucks , it won't be as noticeable . I usually see differences on say width of a passenger car or perhaps a wheel base difference . Even then, on some models , the difference is negligible . Sometimes , say an Arii 1958 Cadillac , uh the difference is huge

  21. Ian, my guess it's pretty much a straight re- issue . The wheels were chrome , so was the diesel tank set up . Not too many Fords used Chrome wagon wheels if any . In fact , I stripped the chrome off the tanks cause I can't remember ever seeing such a Ford with a chrome tank.
  22. The building was a real building. It was built in 1923 as a Conoco service station. Meanwhile , a collection of experimentals gathering for Richfield Premium fuel :
