  1. Tom, it's really true ! I saw a couple of dealer brochures Okey did to entice the retail stores into some of his stuff. Yeah, I wasn't all keen on a Mercedes Rat rod myself , but the company was in such a shambles , I'm surprised the Turbine kits made it out or the Police car ....................
  2. Can ya say LIGHTNIN?????????????????
  3. Chuck, you amaze me sometimes . I think you should have studied at Art Center in Los Angles ...................
  4. It looks like something I could have seen in the early 1950's in Texas ..............
  5. Doug , from the looks of it, you already have the basics. Now here, I know I'm gonna get "Jumped on " by a few of the ALL KNOWING, ALL DOING here . 1. determine what kinds of modeling you want to do . 2. Determine what scale you PREFER to work in 3. ARE YOU A SCRATCH BUILDER ? 4. if the answer to question 3. is yes , you need a few more things . HOWEVER, if you're a Kit builder as a good number here are , I'd say you're well on you're way.
  6. Tom, I'm posting two pictures of the 69-74 Ford Econoline van tail lights cause you of all people seem to want to do things RIGHT the first time . I'm also going to include the six cylinder motor box details At this point, I hope to rest my case ..........................
  7. Tom, PLEASE , an this is coming from someone who owned and worked on too many "Bull nose " Ford vans too. The tail lights need adjustment . they're too fat . if need be . Hell, I'll send you a 73 Ford tail lamp lens in the mail. better, I'll send it CERTIFIED MAIL AN INSURED .
  8. Hey, if I saw a Mustang like what I saw in that Prototype shot , I wouldn't appreciate it neither .
  9. Hey Cruiz , you ain't gonna be no Puppy Trucker are ya ............. ?
  10. One "Could " have bought chrome trim . It was an option . The division bar however was chromed at the factory . The only issue I see is the Red on the engine . Ford never used red on that engine . it should be a Dark Green ............. Now bring that model along with the other recent builds to the T A M S show October 26th in Norfolk Virginia .
  11. My goodness, a refugee from a bygone era ..................
  12. With all of the revisions here on the forum , I'd suggest the IMG thumbnail .
  13. You definitely have a good handle on what vans of the era looked like . Now jus don't get Truck- in burn out !
  14. Tyler, ask one of the members of Tidewater Model club. I think they meet at the Norfolk Hobby town U S A .
  15. Joe, in 1-25th scale , the A M T actually former M P C 1929 Ford Model A Roadster P U is hard to beat . The Revell 1930 Roadster cab/ Enclosed cab has a way more delicate suspension system. I did one as a light duty wrecker by combining pieces from A M T's 1929 roadster with the revel kit to gain a stocker .
  16. Spike , welcome back sir . Family problems can be insurmountable , I know from my own family .
  17. I think this one qualifies as muh favorite !!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Great day in da morning, someone here really bothers to get details correct ! Now make note , this truck is an example of what was known as a Deluxe cab.
  19. Indeed, I used to own both a 65 Chevrolet and then a 66 Chevrolet ...............
  20. Yes, the retail on the big trucks is a might hard to get warm an fuzzy with ......................
  21. Hummmmmm, looks like the same tree that the A M T Post office truck an trailer had and the Stake body had too...........
  22. FINALLY , someone here made sense of this !!!!!!!!!
  23. Interesting and unique ...................
  24. Uh oh, how will this affect Faceless book ??????????
  25. Thank You Chuck. Look, I am a tech writer for the Early Ford Club of America . I spend a lot of time researching material BEFORE I just say something that I can't back up. I get a lot of "Armchair " engineers always trying to start a fight because MOST of them won't do the leg work I do !
