  1. Between Barnes and Noble and Books a Million , I would try those places . It's a great reference source . Ed Shaver
  2. Someone posted eccentric , I think it was Skip. To me , that sums up my feelings too. I never understood show cars like the Milk Crate , Bath Tub Buggy either . Ed Shaver
  3. You certainly don't see the Ford Cab over trucks here anymore . I know where there are two Heil manufactured tanks are though . One is probably salvageable , the other one looks to be right rusted . Ed Shaver
  4. I think dat means Good Boy ! Ed Shaver
  5. Terry, the Needle an Seat went bad on mine couple of years ago. I bought another one and put it in. I find I can do with Spray cans what I was doing with an airbrush any more to be just as convienent . Ed Shaver
  6. Dave , If ya see the guy with the 51 Ford F-1 again, I need one of those rims . I'll trade out an N O S 15incher for that 16incher . Ed Shaver

  10. Weeeeeeeel , lookin at the top , ya got Monogram's Vandall kit about 1978, One of A M T re-issued 69 Chevelles , A 56 Plymouth Convertable from Jo-Han , one of A M T 's 66 Mustangs , A 70 Maverick from Jo-han , a 1-32nd Palmer ? Corvette , Misc parts , a 66 or 67 M P C Pontiac GTO, and finially , looks to be a early Monogram Watson Indy roadster . A M T did one , but they had vynil tires on theirs ............. Ed Shaver
  11. When I first saw a Pontiac Fiero, I gave it some serious consideration like how does one pull the plugs , where is the water pump ? I was actually considering buying a new car that year kids . Couple of years later , I was handed the job of helping to do a Clutch R & R on one. We put it in a Front end alignment pit , rigged a A frame over the engine to support it and dropped the sub frame out of the bottom, ala Chevrolet Cavilier . I decided right then, right there to go on a campaign of "Never Ever buy a car built after Elvis Presley died. ".............. That's my story an I'm stickin to it ! Ed Shaver
  12. Greg, I see many HHR's and PT Cruisers here . I even saw a Prowler at a Used car dealership a couple of weeks ago. The Cruisers and the HHR's seem to be driven by medical supplu companies . That's just my obsevation ............. Ed Shaver
  13. I saw a lot of good reference material Tim, thanks . Ed Shaver
  14. I have used the decal paper from Bare metal foil with pretty good results . I have a ink jet printer so I don't really know how the Laser paper might react . Generally only the commercial copiers are laser anyway .I have been on the phone lately with a company in Texas called Papilio. http://papilio.com/ Try them ............ Ed Shaver
  15. Dave , I guess you found muh weaknesses ............................ Thanks !!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  16. This is what is needed in afternoon traffic headed down Baseline Road through Mesa ................. ! Ed Shaver
  17. Tulio, that Silver is pretty darn close to an O. E. M finish . The origional had some Blue to it . You might wish to go to Auto Color Library.com and see what WAS avalible as you seem to like the stock builds . Great work on the car though !!!!! Ed Shaver
  18. Tulio, back in 1961 when this truck came out , it was a "Curbside ". Yep. molded chassis , an indentation of what could have been a 200 Six cylinder even with a single exhaust . After 1962 and this kit was re- issued , it got retired . The Annual 1961 and the Styline 61 had the skinny white walls , stock hubcaps , loads of custom options , even a sedan delivery option ! Along came 1980. The Ranchero was re- issued as you see it now with a somewhat "Generic " Chevrolet engine , dual exhausts in the chassis and the somewhat plain engine compartment . Gone were the skinny "Compact " size tires . Gone were the stock hubcaps and the sedan delivery roof . Gone too were the wayyyyyyy kwell Styline extensions too. The truck came back with new decals I guess about 1989. O K , they found the neat wall mount brakett one could mount the finished model on . SOME of the Styline pieces found their way back into the box . The tires were still the Pro Meat jobs . Billit wheels found their way into this issue . Tulio, I have to say, you took a kit that had been butchered years ago and made something to be really proud of sir ! Ed Shaver
  19. Hey, looks good , even if ya can't type ! Now go enter that Jewel !!!!!!!! Ed Shaver

  21. Tor, I have never seen a bad job out of Juha . I would imagine the car goes together with no problems at all. Ed Shaver
  22. Since I do dioramas of old service stations , here I'll share some shots taken with a 1944 Agfa twin lens camera : former Amoco station- it's gone now ............. former Atlantic station built in 1930. It ceased to be a service station about 1955. It was a automobile electric shop till 59. It became Moore's Body and Fender, still is . Ed Shaver
  23. I bought a Flouresent desk lamp with a "Bendable " overhead arm, the cost , 2.00 ! I love sales . Ed Shaver
  24. Johnny, just as bad was the origional G T -Ford that they came out with in 1965. The door gaps had to have been at least a 1/16th of an inch out ! Ed Shaver
  25. I'm planning another one come June . Watch the Richmond Times Dispatch Newspaper for details. Ed Shaver
