  1. Yep, I said so........... Ed Shaver
  2. I must say IMPRESSIVE builds on both counts . This isn't exactly a throw it together kit as too many of the supension pieces are very tought to get off the sprues . . I built this one as part of one of my service station dioramas several years back . Ed Shaver
  3. U H Huh, I agree, we gots some trigger happy stuff here ...................... Ed Shaver
  4. Looks like you took care to preserve them well. They look great . Ed Shaver
  5. What I don't understand is the fact that Ertil, a A M T company, then did do a Die - cast Olsmobile. They did the Studebaker too. I don't mind telling anyone , the studebaker came out looking great too. I regret not buying an Olsmobile though .........Ed Shaver
  6. Manny, is this all just you're work or did this involve others doing the models as well? Either way, it's certainly one heck of a display ! Ed Shaver
  7. For me , I dunno Rommel. Ive actually got a few that "Rank ". I guess this one , a 1921 Kershaw . The company only produced the one model and none are known to exist today . Ed Shaver
  8. That old Revell kit is no easy kit to even build out of the box, much less modify into a street racer . Very well done sir ! Ed Shaver
  9. He needs to stop here in September , ( Richmond Virginia ) to see the Field day of the Past . Not only is it a steam show , but several vintage race cars usually show up for this three day event . You can see pictures by going to Field Day of the past .com Ed Shaver
  10. I have a photograph of an El Caminio just like you're model. I will see if I can get it scaned and send it to you . Ed Shaver
  11. One thing I'm going to add here , this topic an several others provide me with so much entertainment value every day ! Thank You everyone for the contributions that I see here . Ed Shaver
  12. In looking over this build , I see you really took the time to incorporate a lot of detail the 1-1 vans had . Goes to show ya , not all van kits had to have Shag Rug interiors . Ed Shaver
  13. This version certainly looks a lot better than what the kit was supposed to have portrayed . Nice work. Ed Shaver
  14. Great question Glen. I remember both kits as "annuals" too. I well remember the opening trunk , hey , what a bonus that was in it's day what with a jack an all. The 1966, was a real disappointment . I dunno, seems all of the 66 line was simplified . In fact, I saw a lot of the parts carried over from the 65's to the 66's too. It wasn't until the 1967 Annuals came out that we saw a lot of major changes to the way A M T manufactured kits . I noticed the Ford in particular had separate pieces that comprised the front suspension for example . Ed Shaver
  15. Christian, most of the Pyro pistols have been re issued under the Linburg banner here . I bought a couple as Christmas presents just last year . They go together so so and can use some care when assembling . The key is some real careful detail painting on them ................Ed Shaver
  16. I think Martinfan and Lonewolf both make some great points . In looking at the current demographics , I see kit makers ever so SLOWWWWWWWWWWly taking some chances on us , the older builders . That's generous and could well backfire on the manufacturers as tool and die costs are ever increasing . I site Revell's Oldsmobile , the 62 Corvette , the 57 Ford sedan as examples . Hey Mobius is probably the MOST adventurous with Hudsons and Chryslers . I'm very curious as to what if anything will ever come out of the ashes of A M T , Linburg-Hawk ,and I M C . Ed Shaver
  17. I'm speechless.................... Ed Shaver
  18. If it were me Bill, I would look closely at a Ford Model A fender . First, remember that the Dodge brothers once worked with ole Henry. Tool and die technology just wasn't that advanced . Looking at the Cab, looks like a modified 1929 Ford Enclosed with added dimensions . Fenders , 1927 Model T maybe , the grille ,uh perhaps modifying a 41 Chevrolet truck grille ............ Ed Shaver
  19. Bill, I have never seen any Dodge brothers autos or trucks that old in scale . I used to know where there was a 1929 Dodge touring car was but it got moved and I think after it was , it was subsequently sold to a private collection up North. Ed Shaver
  20. My goodness Mr. Bill, wanna give the old coot, ( Me ) heart failure ..................? Ed Shaver
  21. Gee, a spectacular idea ! Heck, I still ain't finished the Hudson yet . Ed Shaver
  22. Mark, once I hit the H. O. V lanes outside of Stafford, it's all just one traffic jam . Until I get into Baltimore, THEN IT REPEATS ITSELF AGAIN! Ed Shaver
  23. Manny great pictures except for being a might over exposed . I always enjoy what surprises you come up with though . Ed Shaver
