  1. Knowing what do of ole Henry, I doubt he would have ever approved of this being done . However , I do see Edsel Ford having such a coach builder commissioned to have done such a build . Definitely a piece to be considered .............. Ed Shaver
  2. Billy, ya done made my day today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give the man an award. Ed Shaver
  3. I would say over all you captured the look and feel of a 60's rod truck . Ed Shaver
  4. Face Book reminds me of my time both in High School and my first year at College . I despised both and I have , nor will I ever attend a reunion of my former H S Classmates . I had nothing in common with most of them and dated women from DIFFERENT schools as the ones I went to school were a bunch of stuck up Prepp-o's ............ Ed Shaver
  5. Tony, in the same family as MDF, have you ever worked with "Tempered both sided Masonite ? It's like MDF, however , its made from Brown Craft paper and its primarily used for the manufacture of signs . Like Gator Board , it too came about as it's easy to Silk Screen on . Both products can be laminated easily . Both have a "Decent " edge . As for my experiences on Foam Core , I personally use a Good quality primer after I do any Bondo work first . I think the fact that primer has an ability to protect the overall surface ......... Ed Shaver
  6. How come no one here has mentioned the cars that got Model products off the ground like the 1928 Ford Model A sedan that was released under the guise of A M T , or the 1964 Corvette with a working suspension , or for that matter , The Mako Shark ! Ed Shaver
  7. Danny, I saw it bout an hour a go on da H A M B . I'm sad for his family ................ Ed Shaver
  8. Tony, I swear to ya bud , I use Elmers brand . heck , I buy it at Wall worl too! Ed Shaver
  9. Bob, this YOUNGSTER simply is clueless. WE both know Model Products had an edge over A M T and especially Jo- han in several areas. I'm glad you addressed these kits as they were all High water marks in Model history! Ed Shaver
  10. Joshua, I certainly hope you didn't stop at just the Mk II. I hope you asked for All of the Lincons , the MKI coupe , the Capri and maybe a Premiere................ Fins and I , well , we like one another ................... Ed Shaver
  11. Mike, I use Foam Core all the time . I also do a lot of commercial work in 1/8th thickness Masonite , ( Tempered BOTH sides ) as well. I have never encountered a problem with Foam Core such as Tony has described . For a roof which you may have shingles on, Uh, use 1/8th thickness plywood like a Birch veneer or M D F , medium density Fiber Board . Bases like the Plywood or Fiber board . Both dioramas were built using 1/4 inch Foam Core ........................ Ed Shaver
  12. Mann, you don't kid around do ya ! Yer a serious craftsman fer sure .............. Ed Shaver
  13. Gee, looks kinda like my place ! Ed Shaver
  14. Terry, since I have never used the Micro Scale product you're referring to, you may well have a good point ! Ed Shaver
  15. Dang it Tony, only the Ex knows how to speak French around here . I speak Tex- Mex ............ Ed Shaver
  16. Jon, on old decalimania , I would use a good quality Clear Lacquer first. Coat the sheet with the clear . Allow it to dry thoroughly. and then try again . Oh, I might add in doing so, you will have to cut to the EDGE any decals you want as the clear is part of the OVERALL sheet now ! Ed Shaver
  17. Now when is some body gonna suggest playing the album Power Windows while looking at this , huh ? Ed Shaver
  18. Have you showed this to our own Chuck Most ? Wow ! Ed Shaver
  19. Nick, you can trust me on this . I happen to know Ken and his wife personally. Both are some hard working NO B. S. folks , just like me . Unlike some of the people / casters here , I can tell ya , I have watched ken in action and he is one demanding character . You would think cause he has trouble with one hand he's not capable of such masterful work , yer wrong . I wish I was working full time again as Ken makes a lot of the product I would gladly buy given the chance . Hey, check out bandit resins .com , you'll be glad ya did ! Ed Shaver
  20. I WILL NOT use Krak list , Evilist Bay or other forms of Bid media . However , I do find decent deals at Model Round Up ....... Ed Shaver
