  1. A good kit is a good kit . That kit , (Avanti ) was an still is a great kit . I like the fact that both sets of head lights were included as the 64's used the Squarish headlight doors , A M T listed them as Custom options though . In comparison to a comparable Aurora 1963 Avanti, uh I'll take the A M T one .............. Ed Shaver
  2. Craig, seriously, that puppy is really a 12 cylinder . It was fed with a Stromberg two barrel and yes , a decent one , hey thats a piece of music to my ears at least . I enjoy listening to DECENT running Ford Flat heads , both stock and modified as I still work on them . Ed Shaver
  3. Wait uh minute , I heard Chrysler had discontinued Vipers and wern't going to make any more . So Mopar guys , please set me straight on dis ................. Ed Shaver
  4. Hummmmmmmm, S A has lost an advertiser now ........................ Maybe they'll come to their senses , re- hire all the Car Modeler staff and get rid of their current editor , or better yet , sell the whole operation to our buddy Greg Hutchins fer , uh 50.00 . Thats about what that magazine is worth anyway ! Ed Shaver
  5. Not zactly a sports car . Still, it's out by Academy Models . It's a 1981 Hundai Pony , similar to a comparable Volkswagen Rabbit It's a very simplistic "Curb side kit . Ed Shaver
  6. I vaguely remember seeing a die cast I guess about 1999 in a Toy s maybe is us . It may have been a Welly as i remember S A telling the readers that one was announced ............... Ed Shaver

  14. Virgil, I think you're missing the point . Some of these guys simply WON'T take the time to take a decent photograph and expect us to decipher between what is the subject and the shadows, stuff on the work bench, busy back ground , etc........... Ed Shaver
  15. My question to those who show models here is this : How many of you will employ this gentleman's ides into the somewhat "Busy" back grounds I see , Grainy , shaky, pictures I see with Captions like , "Sorry for the lousy pics but ........... ". Hey Virgil, thank you for taking the time to show those here , but I dunno bout some of these people here . Ed Shaver

  18. Jonathan, being as I once used to work in Mesa and Chandler , it's no wonder you never learned to park . Look, ya'all don't even have curbs , well curbs that are curbs . Me , I had to come back her to Virginia and deal wiff ole Dee Cee tooooooooo much . Look, we have to park parallel here . I also had to learn how to do when I first got my license and do it again when I moved to Los Angles and again during the years I lived in Houston . Maybe you need to learn how to live in a city that has curbs .............. Ed Shaver
  19. Jimmy Flinstone does the 57 as of now . I know somebody else is doing the 59, but I can't remember who it is . Maybe Model haus . Ed Shaver
  20. Mike , it is so very difficult to answer these "broad questions " I see all too often here . If you want a simple spark plug wire set up, take the distributor , drill a .o80 hole in the middle and poke 9 pieces of fine Transformer wire , commonly found at any Radio Shack store . That's the red wire sold in a "Trio pack ". Battery cables can use the heavier Gold wire in the same pack . The green wire is smaller , and that can be used as linkage , vacuum , etc. To make you're own heater hoses , use computer gauged wires . Ed Shaver
  21. Jim, what are you using for an interior ? I had no idea ole Rick wouldda let go of anything in resin . I've said this before , if ya ever get outta the place yer in and start yer own place , call me on the phone , I got a job fer ya .............. Ed Shaver
