  1. It won't affect the glue at all, it will dissolve putty though.
  2. These were in one of the boxes.
  3. Huh, I haven't seen the green one. There's a purple one and a green one, it looks like they both have different wheels on them. The purple one has the dull chrome, the green one has bright chrome that doesn't look like the rest of the chrome in the kit.
  4. I've had this kit for several years, I picked it up from a friend along with several other vintage kits, but when I got them all the parts were scattered out between all the boxes. Does anyone have one of these kits to show what wheels and tires are supposed to be with it? The wheels were removed from the trees but it looks like everything else is there.
  5. Ertl made a diecast bank that you may be able to use the grille from. The dash itself is the same as the Chevy, but the trim above the speaker grille says general motors truck instead of Chevrolet, and the gauges are different colors.
  6. Welcome, from So. Indiana
  7. Really nice build, I need to get one of these kits. What color is that?, what paint did you use?
  8. Interesting kit, I've thought about picking one up but never have. It looks like the box art shows a SBF instead of the Hemi, and the grille shell is a 28-29 A.
  9. I haven't had any time for building models this year, and just wanted to build something simple for a change, just to get back into it. I'll add some weathering to it eventually, but I've had some bad back problems lately and it's just to hard to sit at my desk to long. Plus we haven't had any snow this year anyway.
  10. What camera are you using?, does it have a macro setting?
  11. I got this for Christmas last year, but just got around to finishing it. I might weather the plow and chassis later but it's done for now.
  12. There's one of theses in Henderson Ky also,
  13. I didn't know they were going to make a model a coupe, but it's a 30 or 31, not a 29
  14. Here's a built original one on ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Two-Monogram-1934-Fords-in-1-24th-scale-/271795124439?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f484078d7
  15. Is the El Camino a resin kit?
  16. Nice build. What scale is it? I saw this car a t the ACD museum back in September,
  17. Looks great, any engine pics?
  18. Nice truck, reminds me of mine.
  19. Actually there are four different windshields between 55 56 and 57 hardtops and sedans. 55-56 sedans are all the same, 55-56 hardtop nomads and convertibles are the same, 57 sedans are all the same (but different from the 55-56) and 57 convertible hardtop and nomad are the same. The 57 hardtop/conv/nomad windshield is 5/8 of an inch shorter than the sedan.
  20. Yeah, but just think about how much the free shipping saved them. How do you even ship a package worth $8,300?
  21. There's some good pics of the car here, with a few recent pics of how it is now, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=295045
  22. United pacific made the dies and stamps them their self, ford had nothing to with it at all, they just collect the licensing fees. They are stamped in Taiwan, and start at $21,000, brookville doesn't make the 5 window but their 3 window is $23,000 and stamped in the USA.
  23. Looks like a nice kit. Do you have any better pics of the body?
