  1. Oh man, far out! That is one heck of a great combo. Bravo!
  2. Its a tall order: 1977 to 1979 Ford Thunderbird. Could be used for replica stock (like me), low rider, and stock car uses. The dash and frame are right from the '71 or '72 Ford Torino JoHan kit, the rest would have to be mastered.
  3. Its coming along nicely, awesome work!
  4. WOW! Its looking really good. What color green did you use? I agree on the color combo, ocean blue with apple met. green......who ever thought of that, must be a very unique person.
  5. Wonderful work on this! Bravo!
  6. Nice and clean!
  7. Very cool!
  8. WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. HA HA HA, Sorry Charlie. After reading that again, yea, I biffed on that one. I'm going to repaint my '68 in Wimbleton White with a marron interior and add some wheel covers from the '70 LTD. I think that will look really nice.
  10. I have been back and forth if I should get one.....the more I look at it, the more I want one. I like the color you picked, it seems to fit it very well.
  11. Its a nice color on LTD's, Galaxies, and XL's. I am doing that color combo on a '68 Galaxie I am rebuilding from the glue bomb it was.....
  12. I just watched Magnum Force tonight. Most of the movie they had '72 full size Fords. I have the same kit as you and I LOVE it. I have not figured out what I want to do with it. Could build it as a Lois Lane Superman (1978) film car or a rental car.....
  13. WOW..... For a second I thought I missed the boat on this. However, I agree too, it would be nice to see this in production as a kit.
  14. Very nice! I never knew this kit was even around.
  15. MMMM, thats a great idea. That would be about the right shade of wood too.
  16. Sadly, the Modelhaus dose NOT come with the wood grain. Only the '73 Chevy and '70 Ford wagons did. If luck stays my way, I should be getting a 1:1 '96 Roady in a few months. This is why I got the M.H. kit. The only issue on the Buick I have, there is a strange sorta wave in the upper door frame on the pass. side. But when I looked at the Monogram Caprice kit it was based off of, it had the same wave. As for the wood grain, I'm still looking for something that will work. If you see anything, please let me know.
  17. Well since I don't have the skills to make these on my own, I went ahead and ordered them. Sure it was pricey but I figure you only live once. I had already bought the Modelhaus '70 Ford LTD Country Squire and '73 Chevrolet Kingswood Estate wagon. Since I'm a lover of the land yachts, I bought a few more. 1972 Ford Custom 500. What started my love for big 60s and 70s cars, Superman (1978). Lois Lane drove a '72 Custom, been wanting a model of it since I was a little kid. 1972 Ford LTD Brougham coupe 1993 Buick Roadmaster Estate wagon.
  18. 2004 Ford Mustang bought brand new in 2004. 1978 Ford LTD Country Squire, 247k original miles, paint, and wood sides.
  19. Sorry Harry, common sense is not so common anymore....... As for Greg, BRAVO! Hopefully this forum can get back to what its here for, a brilliant hobby!
  20. Nice Nick! I like the magazine rack. Its the little touches that make a diorama pop! You should put your Rockford Files Bird there, with Jimmy looking cross, while the body man is writing a laundry list of what to do on his car.
  21. Yep Tony, I still have Clark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh6lJLX1B-M I love having a full size wagon in the family. He has always come in handy for big jobs and driving long hauls is an event, pillow like ride, and never makes me feel tired. I am now keeping my eye open for a Lincoln Mark V/VI or a Lincoln Town Coupe from 1974-1978. I would like another BIG personal coupe but I will keep the wagon too.
  22. HA HA HA, yes, the two where named after the movie. There where a lot of names given to me at college, from the '77 being called "The Vista Cruiser" (college kids seem to think all wagons are the same make and model), to my English teacher calling me "Mr. Griswold".
  23. Charlie, I have been a member on Station Wagon Forums for awhile now. Its a close group, LOTS of information, and just a nice place in general. There is a good number of us "wagon nuts" out there but the wagon is coming back as a collector car. Since a lot of models are going for bigger bucks, wagons are something you can use daily, your family can ride in it, most 1960 on up can meet the demands of modern freeway driving ( I drive my '78 Ford LTD back to my old college time to time, 4.5 one way drive), and some wagons work as tow cars. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/index.php
  24. I like it. Kind of reminds me of a build of a '58 someone built, dog dish hubs, little chrome, and he called it the "Amish 500" car.
  25. Bravo! Very well done.
