Dodge D50 muscle truck
diymirage replied to GTMust's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
lol, I wasnt even available during the first part of the eighties on top of that dodges were rare where i grew up (even today it looks like 80% of the cars on the road here are european and 80% of those are german) looking forward to seeing how the roadrunner comes out on a side note, you should scratch up those flares to make em look like they went through the woods -
set it up and im in im sure i have some gluebombs i took in on trade (or stuff i made when i was younger) that would do for this)

ive always enjoyed watching F1 and consider it among the very top of racing (that and WRC) one thing i always loved about the sport is the one choice you had on tires, dry weather or rain ive seen races that were decided by the choise of tires when the weather changed or didnt act as expected from all the men who have driven F-1 i might know 5 names, the shumachers, jos verstappen, the guy who is now doing the rednecks going left thing and nicki lauda great build

talk about riding the short bus looks sweet , you should paint it yellow

welcome aboard its always nice to see the aftermarket take a personal interest in our hobby. there are many great builders on here and im sure tons of them would be willing to put your pigments to the test. maybe you should consider having one orq two of these members do a review of your product ? send them a small sample and have them disclose with the rest of us how easy it is to work with and how good the results are feel free to shoot me a PM for my address and ill be happy to try it and write a review, though truth be told, im in the bottom 20% when it comes to painting so im sure other members would be better suited for this -

hey Sam, i just wanted to take this oppertunity to publicly aknowledge that this is your idea, a great idea, and i am going to steal it like danno (dan baker) always says "beter goed gejat dan slecht bedacht
-
not really a dually but ill show it anyway its the snap kit with lowered front suspension, custom wheels, converted to single rear wheels with a mickey thompson sportsman on each side, a shaker hoodscoop and a scratchbuild toolbox the paint is based on the paintsceme on valentino rossi's yamaha which is the bike on the back (ill finish it one day)
-
looks like your off to a great start this kit truely is one of the best out there and it looks like your building a great model out of it nice job on the front moldlines, these are often overlooked
-
i was on the forum a while ago when i saw a pro street version of the DOH monaco when i saw this kit at the local hobby lobby i was reminded of a special little mill i have that will be perfect for this project i wont be able to get started for 2 more weeks but count me in with a shameless copy of that build under the motto "beter good gejat dan slecht bedacht' (its better to steal something good then come up with something bad)
-
this would be a cool build but 3 weeks is not enough time for me nowadays (i know the timespan is one month but ill be in the old country for another 2 weeks and i promised the wifey id leave the models home)

The Cars of Rock 'n' Roll and Country Music

im pretty sure if i were to buy my son a nascar he could run circles around jeff gordon...and hes only 14...months no, i was thinking jimmy johnson he is carving out quite a legacy and may still have many good years ahead if him (but right now, its a toss up between the two) and yes, richard petty tops the list (and not just cos he drove a mopar ) (i was temted to throw in dick trickle just because of the awesomeness of his name but decided not to mention him) -

id hate to speak ill of a great driver but i cant help but wonder what would have become of his legend if he had died an old men in his bed as far as im concernced he is still the second or third best nascar driver who ever raced though -
Budapest Hungary Trabant Rendorseg Police Car
diymirage replied to modeltruckmafia's topic in Model Cars
i stopped by the model store again today (since i happen to be on this continent) and you guys were right, the wall fell in 1989 so revell made a 20th aniversary version of...you guessed it 1989 models they come in a special box with special decals i will be here till the end of april so if anyone wants one shoot me a PM and well see what we can do -
would you want it to cover the rear markers ? that should be no problem and i would prefer to make it a little larger and just have you wrap it around the quarterpanels or just trim it (seeing how i dont have this model in my stash i cant print the decal and try it, i;d have to go by measurements iether way, i think i can make it work,my only issue would be that you have a black car and it is really tough to make a red decal on clear paper that wont show the black through so i would suggest printing one on white paper and then trimming the tiny red stripes on the side and putting those on as seperate decals as for adding 440 AND the superbee logo, i would choose one, i dont think both would fit right and look good but thats your desision shoot me a PM and well discuss the decals and price
-
looks sweet as for the filter, would you be able to drill out the bottom of it to allow it to sit deeper over the carbs ? that might just clear the hood if you are interested i might be able to make you a custom decal for a small fee but im not sure if i would be willing to slap a "hemi"banner on a 440 car

suffering is a big part of the tribulation lets not forget about the locust, scorpion like critters whose soul purpose is to inflict harm while they do not have the authority to take life (which is also why it was silly for anyone to think the "bugs" in steven speilbergs the fog were these same locust like the qausi bible thumping crazy lady said) because "ïn those days men will seek death and death will flee from them"

diymirage replied to modeltruckmafia's topic in Model Cars
i thought they were working on getting a uniform number in all of europe which is 112 any reason why hungary is not in on this ? on a related note, i was looking at a special issue version of that kit commemorating the 25th (i think) aniversary of the fall of the berlin wall it was a 4000 piecerun i think, going for 40 euros a pop i considered buying it and hiding it untill the price went up but then i figured, who would ever buy a trabant -
