  1. Chill out Cam, I stated in the post that I didn't want to make fun of the guy, I am far from being a grammatical genius & I'll be the first to point that fact out, I was just trying to help correct a word..........you go play with your semi-colons ....... I'll play with my styrene - good luck with that tumor
  2. How badly is it crazed ? ...... is the plastic soft ? If it is soft after you remove the paint, I would let it air dry probably at least a week, before sanding, if there is no softness, or paint smell to the plastic; I would assume that it would be fine to sand & prime.
  3. Neato - that would make a perfect LSR car
  4. Fantastic Jack !!! - everything works on this one !
  5. Great job on this Darryl - all your effort paid off
  6. Very nice & super clean Jack -what a classic !!
  7. Very sharp build Al - it looks great with that color combo
  8. On certain clear parts, (where it won't be noticed ) ........I use a double sided tape & good old Elmers on the rest , or any other decent white glue I have around - works like a charm.
  9. Great look - this is the kind of car that would have been run, back in the day - Very clean - thanks much !!
  10. Great, GREAT build Steve - thanks much for sharing this, I dig the whole package !!
  11. Fantastic bikes - great job on all !!!
  12. Super nice build - I'm not really even into "These types of cars" , but this one really has a great mean look to it !!!
  13. The Orange Crate is produced by Revell, The Orange Hauler is by Monogram - also the TD California Street Vette by Monogram, Baja Bandito, & I think The Son of Ford 32 Ford Roadster ( not 100% sure )
  14. Thanks Bill, great shots - your buddy was very fortunate to get this in a deal - what a gem
  15. I'm pretty sure that the Lindberg 66 has stock wheels
  16. Hey Jim, go the simple route, no need to redo the whole thing, just put some wood grain adhesive vinyl in the panel areas, tape off around the border trim & brush on a darker brown ( before you put the vinyl on ) .......... & consider it done !! - those panels are fairly flat, just make paper templates first & place the wood on ...... you could hand paint a wood grain on there; but that's a project in itself & I don't know what you'd be gaining. I do think the overall build looks great anyways !!
  17. my computer is really screwed up ....... it won't do "the quote thing" properly
  18. If it's an unrestored car, ( I want to try & replicate the original features, to a degree ) ...... any & all interior pics would be great ..... & maybe a couple of the outside Front, rear & side as well - Thanks for the offer Bill
  19. Thanks guys, this is all good stuff; the interior for the stock version leaves out most of the detail, as you said Art, I'm pretty sure 99.9% of them have been built as the Hot Rod version .... if anyone has built a detailed build out of it; I'd sure like to see it & hear what changes they made
  20. Hi, I'm building a stock Coupe & am having a tough time finding interior pics, the seat that comes in the AMT Laurel & Hardy kit, at least has a package tray, which the other versions don't, but it still doesn't look right ...... it ends about half way, at the door in the interior, it seems that there should be more from that point of the inside door panel towards the dash, it's only going to be a shelf model, but I'd like it to be a little more close to correct - thanks ahead; for any help
  21. I'll add one bit to the hot water method, I attatch a piece of straight hardwood, or a steel ruler, with a couple small clamps, or elastics to the bottom of a warped frame, to insure it comes out square & straight - let it sit a few minutes in the water, take it out & leave it to cool - it will be perfect.
