  1. Here's a fictional 40 ,
  2. Those "bumps" are weights bolted to the front axle .
  3. Curbside is a category at most shows , so you're not alone . Detail is a relative thing , it means more to some less to others , build what you like and don't worry about it.
  4. Just looked at my photo bucket and found out it has been deleted , nothing there but a blank page.
  5. Nice , I used that engine in my convertible ,
  6. Wow , both of those are really nice .
  7. When you gotta go , in a hurry !
  8. A small piece of bar metal foil will suffice .
  9. stock , hot rod , gasser , pro street ? Some kits lend themselves to different styles .
  10. Anything will fit , just get a big enough hammer.
  11. If you're handy with tools just a little bit , you can build one yourself , I used an old projector screen tv cabinet I saw put out in the trash , gutted it , sealed the bottom of it , put in a false floor of peg board and added an old bank vacuum blower as an exhaust fan , the exhaust is ducted outside , mounted a light and a turn table in it and it's worked out great .
  12. I'm driving a 94 2500 Suburban I bought from the original owner , it has 375,000 miles on it (still has the original engine and trans) and I'm happy to have it . I only paid $2000 for it and she had taken very good care of the truck (gave me a binder full of every receipt for anything done on the truck since new) . I've spent probably $1500 in the last 3 years on what I call maintenance (I've also put 40,000 miles on it) , tires , brakes , exhaust , power steering pump , shocks , door switches and headlight housings . I think it's a good deal , it looks good for it's age , gets me where I want to go , will haul anything I need to haul , pulls my little trailer effortlessly and there's no payment (that's the big thing , I hate payments) . But I'm prone to driving my vehicles till the wheels fall off .

Very nice , what do you use for the small detail wire on the engine and firewall electrical components ?
  15. Another great rod.
  16. Fantastic ! Love the detail on the engine.
  17. Man ! i was hoping to find some of those in our stores , but no luck. Good shopping Bill.
  18. That's for the thoughts guys , I'm just working through daily life without putting any pressure on the thumb . It's amazing the things we do without thinking about how much the loss of an appendage will affect them . Opening jars , holding my 1 yr old grandson (who accidentally kicked my hand this morning) , any kind of yard work , it's all a new adventure in pain management .
  19. Yep , beautiful weather , lows in the high 50s , highs in the mid 70s , if it weren't for the fire in the swamp ( Okefenokee ) it would be really nice.
  20. well , sliced the end of my thumb off on the table saw yesterday morning , lost about a half inch below the thumbnail . That's what I get for wearing cloth gloves working around power tools , a spiral of metal caught in the glove when I tried to pull it free and yanked my hand into the blade . Now I get to go to the orthopedic surgeon and have him tell me there's nothing he can do , nothing left to sew up , might have to work on the bone , it splintered a little on the tip . Should make vacation at the beach next week fun , was looking forward to doing a little deep sea fishing , not so sure now . All in all it could have been a lot worse , just have to adjust to thumb bandaged hand now. " Keep moving forward "
  21. I think these are the ones you're looking for ? probably have to bend them out of solder to get the best match.
