I use an old grocery apron , loop around my neck and bottom thumb tacked to the edge of the work bench . It's about 3' wide and catches everything .

We were racing 1/24 R/C cars 20 or more years ago , they were made by Tamiya . I still have these packed away. We raced on slot car tracks , just didn't use the slot . They didn't become a really big thing because of the lack of slot car tracks to race on here. They could be set up outside , but had to have a very smooth surface to handle well .

Had hail just north of us the size of grapefruit , that's what was reported ! Saw a lot golf ball size .

Just goes to show , just because you can , doesn't mean you should . A sad state for an iconic car .

Looks like the dash is black , with a black vinyl pad across the front , the radio and pocket are silver , BMF ? , and the instrument cluster is flat black . This is a restored SS. On a lower model the dash is body color with the black and silver trim . Looks like from Mike's post the dash could be any combination of the two .

Well , it's the 4th week of 80 degree weather and the garden in taking shape . Planted tomatoes ( 3 kinds ) , bell pepper , banana pepper , yellow sweet corn , egg plant , red serrano pepper , basil , cilantro , parsley , dill , celery , spinach ,( lemon & lime trees from last year ), and cucumber . When it all starts to bear fruit I'm going to be busy , but happy. Start going to ball games again tonight , local mixed league , and really enjoying the outdoor season .

Nascar , like every other racing type is spec . They all have rules to follow , some of Nascar's have turned it into a clown show sometimes , but you can't say the drivers that go out there aren't the best at what they do . Everybody is on a new learning curve , so with the new rules the racing is dicey until they have enough information to sort the handling out . I like watching just about any type of racing until they start complaining about how close to each other they are , just separating the men from the boys . Go to any local racetrack on a Saturday night and see how real racing is done , side to side , wheel to wheel , bumper to bumper , fighting for position . Indy is a joke , only 1 car and 2 or 3? engines , Formula 1 is a close second (talk about spec racing !) . The guys that really impress me are the rally drivers that throw those cars all over the place trying to stay on the road and at speed . But , like everything else that's just my opinion .
