  1. I'm going through the same torture , I've decided to rescribe the panel very slowly and lightly to get better detail , probably have to go over it a dozen times , then after paint bare metal foil .
  2. could it be this ? here it is built up these are from Matt Bacon on the unofficial airfix modelers forum .
  3. , It's great to have a sense of humor , and using those numbers you're right . God , I wouldn't have the patience to deal with that kind of congestion . I think we're overcrowded up here in the sticks of north Fla.

I really like the white letter tires .
  5. yep , they're counting everybody south of Orlando , but that's OK , it makes them feel important. The guys over in Tampa would probably be offended to be told they were in the Miami metropolitan area.
  6. I think you need to check your numbers dude, , the Miami / Dade area only has 1.7 million people and the whole state is only at 18 million , just looked those numbers up , cause I had no idea where there would be a metropolitan area with 6 million people , unless you count everybody south of Orlando , in Fla. Most people won"t travel more than a few miles to pick up anything now a days , it's too easy to buy it off the net . While I travel the Jacksonville area a lot , it's not uncommon for me to go 60 or 70 miles round trip , I just did that , looking for 1 kit at Hobby Lobby for a trade . I also hit the hobby shop in Ocala ( Rob's ) plug , plug , plug ,when I'm down that way for a club meeting , think FAST , Daytona is also an area I travel to and look around , it's cheap entertainment for me and the wife to get out a little . It is sad that the smaller hobby shops are fading , but after Wally World almost killed them , at least in this area , when they carried models all the time , there's still 1 that's fairly well stocked locallly ( Hobby World OP ) plug , plug , plug , have known the owners for over 40 years , great people , but things change and business goes on .
  7. Love the old drag cars , great looking car .
  8. Love the old dirt cars , very nice .
  9. Beautiful rendition , Welcome Mikhail .
  10. That's nice Louie , great tutorial on the application technique , I'd do the headers , down and back into a collector , then out in front of the door.
  11. Ollie's is EVIL , they make me spend my money there ! 10 fruit Wagons , 5 63 Corvettes , 4 Dune buggys , 6 Jawbreakers and 3 53 Corvettes .Parts galore !
  12. absolutely beautiful
  13. Just picked up the Jawbreaker (6) Dune Buggy (4) and 53 Vette (3) , the panel T is a stocker only , so didn't want any of those.
  14. The truck looks great. After scratching my head a little , I couldn't remember what a 41 Dodge COE was supposed to look like , I found this , it's a 41 Dodge COE , but there's also this , also a 41 Dodge COE , but called a Fargo , built by Chrysler for sale outside the US , mostly in Canada , the sheet metal didn't change for several years so it's hard to find a good pic of a 41 Fargo COE .
  15. Stopped at a KB Toys in a strip shopping center on the interstate on the way to Atlanta years ago , bought 10 of the Tony Nancy triple kits for $10 ea. Started hitting the local stores then and picked up a lot of kits cheap, but that was long ago and far far away .
  16. I used the chassis under the lindberg 37 ford kit , they're cheap at Ollie's ,
  17. Good luck with your test , us older guys ( and gals ) need this done regularly .
  18. Sounds like what a person with good common sense has to put up with when talking to the rest of the world.
  19. Well things were interesting in Jax , 90 mph winds and 200 billion gallons of water , according to the news casters . Power went out Monday morning around 2 , it woke me up , the transformers were going off like popcorn . were without power til Wed morning , 3:30 , had the generator running , so no big deal , except that it blew a transformer in my ac , had that fixed yesterday and now we're up and running again . Lost a few tree limbs and a couple of fence panels . Cleaned up , cut the grass and all is well .
  20. Every update has the storm moving further west ,good for us guys on the east coast , bad for guys on the west coast . Generator all gassed up and ready , hope for the best.
