  1. I was thinking you guys were WAY ahead of us time-wise. Good build as always (and I am secretly eyeballing the details to help complete,...ok....to detail, a build I will probably never finish).
  2. Beautiful build.........and it is Galen Govier who does the Mopar decoding. When we had the 63 Plymouth Sport Fury Vert, we had him decode it and it came back as a 1 of 1 built for a Chrysler executive (what made it weird was it had a 318Poly with a 4speed hooked to it). This car suffered an unknown fate as we took it to the body shop for restoration and one night the shop just 'poof' vanished with all of the inventory...no notice or forwarding address.
  3. Very nice Cliff...........just remember that the full-sized Mopars with Big-Blocks and Hemis had the 26" radiator opening in the core support versus the 20" that the small-block/6cyl cars came with (don't worry Cliff........the kit already has it, I measured before I posted!). Also, on the Hemicar ONLY, the K-Member had a skidplate welded to its leading edge and is very noticable in scale (something the kit doesn't have).
  4. Very nice build! I din't realize that the W900 Aerodyne went back as far as it did; the round headlight version started in 1976 and ran until 1982-ish. Mine is far from yours, but I too will be using the white stripe option (only modified for the longer sleeper and some of my touches).
  5. We're going to have to start a 'B' love thread! These Bee builds are going to make me second guess mine, as my build skill is nowhere near you two.
  6. That's what I'm here for Cliff....................can't build a model for nothin' but I can dole out advice that actually works! Maybe I'll make it down under one day and look you up.
  7. Will do Cliff. As to your rubber situation; have you thought about stripping wire and using the case (the part you stripped off) as the rubber seal? Or maybe some black RTV molded and cut to shape? Just some thoughts Cliff. As to the mesh itself for the filter..........womens pantyhose? We have some clay shaping mesh here in the states that is VERY close in size and shape to the mesh used in the paper element filters. Perhaps I could send you some if you can't find any locally. Brad
  8. You guys from Oz do great work! is it something in the water, the enviornment? Maybe I'll have to move there and find out! Beautiful Cameo.
  9. Yup, Beverly Hillbillys truck (monitor zoom set to 400% worked just well enough to see it). Build looks good, and unlike me you have one finished!
  10. Rear fenderwells from the 68-69 Dart will correct the too-big-for-stock holes it has going on now. For some reason, I see either a Buzzin' half-dozen and vynil roof or a modern Hemi and slick paint for this kit.
  11. Well Cliff, as to your spending.......I was looking at some kits in Oz, but when I saw the shipping on them I ordered them straight from Japan for just a tad more kit cost but 1/4 the shipping! You do have some companies that produce wonderful goods (wheels for one, turbos for another), but when you look at their prices for goods and shipping when compared to a similar Japanese company, Oz becomes expensive (that is for us stateside). Perhaps a business avenue/idea (not knowing Oz's rules may make this unfeasable) for you would be to hook up with some of us Statesiders and start your own importing/distribution business for model supplies. Is there a big enough call for such? Your 'Bee builds look killer, and the Air Grabber is awesome to say the least. I have this thread marked (or at least actively view it) for inspiration and ideas for my 'Bee build. Thank you for the updates (both here and at the 'other' site on them.
  12. Ok, a little off-topic, but did you know that you could get a 383 as a 'B' and an 'RB' engine?
  13. Much better (although I didn't see anything wrong with your original rebuild). The wheel looks pretty close to me (my 91 is an airbag wheel), and the headrests look right now as well. Still one of my favorite 'Stang builds.
  14. I had the MPC 74 Pro Street Cuda........it too suffered a similar fate, only without the hope of salvation.
  15. Personal opinion alert: this is looking killer, and you have several routes readily available to you. I can see a slight pie-sectioning of the roof area to bring the front down while leaving the rear at its current height (lending a leaning-forward-ready-to-strike look to the roofline). Also, if you are going to add a rear fender to it, maybe bring them to a low point at the front (kind-of following the current shape of the fill) and terminate them in 'pod-ends' that would house 64 Galaxie taillights (or jet engine exhaust nozzles!!). The wheels, while horrible looking on the WagonRod) look good on this build.....and I think the first pic with the white body fill added to the Orange body would make a killer template for the paint on this 'ShowRod'. Shoot it in a sexy Orange Pearl (like Nissans Mint Tangerine Pearl they had on the 350Z), and add some Pearl White to the rear fender area, along with some 'Ice Cream Cone' graphics to the body sides (also in white pearl for the ice cream itself).
  16. Cruise over to foureyedpride.com...............there is a TON of info and maybe even a few pics you might be able to use.
  17. Yes, 2000 or 2001+ V6 cars had the same rear bumper cover and hood as the 99 Cobra. The tails are specific to 99 Cobra only (and are pricey today because of it). So the car was down on power from advertised....Ford screwed up but put it right, and it is still a nice car today. Also the first Cobra to recieve the Independant Rear Suspension (which the kit accurately reproduces) and the kit wheels are correct. Also, the kit has TWO intake set-ups in the box......the 96-98 style and the 99 style intake, plus the valve covers and coils for the earlier motor and later motor. To me, that makes the kit worth it, as I can now build the C.O.P version for the car, and use the coil packs to 'update' an earlier Ford to later ignition with minimal scratchbuilding involved.
  18. Some rivet-counter habits are good ones to keep! The detailing on this is shaping up to be beautiful.......also wanting to see this in 'Under Glass'.
  19. Didn't Sox and Martin run a similar set-up? And thanks for the reference to the cab! Dad has had many 68-71 Dodge D200s and I could use this cab as a starting point for a build of one of his trucks!
  20. Computers..............###### anyway! I have to go buy one myself now, as the girlfriend will be taking hers back this weekend. Whenever you can Cliff, update the 'Bee thread. No pressure..........I have my 'Bee to keep me company.
  21. I like the idea and the execution so far, but I have mixed feelings on the grill treatment. Being it is your build, go for it and we'll enjoy the ride. 22. Considering the extreme popularity of the 03-04 Cobras and the Bullitt New edges, it is a valid question as to why Revell doesn't revamp their 99 Cobra into one of these, or why AMT hasn't updated their excellent 94-95GT kit to modern specs. I myself would like a New Edge Bullitt or Mach 1 in scale, let alone the 'Terminator'.
  23. Pete, to add to our grill observations; the front bumper on the 66 Plymouths was also smooth, as the parking lights were up in the grill versus 67 when they moved them to the bumper due to headlight placement. The headlight bezels were slightly larger in 66, and the parking light bezels were slightly smaller diameter than the later 67 units second headlight. My dad bought new (and still owns) a 66 Plymouth BelvedereII Hemi/auto in Turbine Bronze Metallic with the black bench interior. I remember riding in that car for most of my youth (with various powerplants in it, but always a big-block. He now owns a 66 Dodge Coronet500 Hemi/4spd in Dark Arctic Blue Metallic with the black interior to go with this car, plus two more 66 Plymouths (both big-blocks) and another 66 Dodge Coronet500 (also a big-block). He is where I got my love of the B-Body, and I own 2 65 Dodge Coronet500s because of him!
  24. Mine slid right in; then I hacked it and stretched it and made it cry for it's mommy! On a serious note, stick the forward tabs on the interior in first, then slide the 'bunkbed' tab up into the sleeper. As for the cab to chassis; same thing...start at the front and work to the rear. I hacked my tabs off, glued them into the holes in the body, filled and sanded the holes smooth, and applied some thin square stock to the inside of the cab to fit my stretch onto the cab-plate and to visually enhance the kit by eliminating the snap-kit holes.

    camaro 88

It looks like a car you would have no trouble seeing on the streets here in the states. Very nice build of an underappreciated Camaro/Firebird generation.
