I build model cars and small trucks from These are the cars I remember growing up. 1900 to 1972. My favorites are from the 30's.

How hard is it to cast resin? It depends on you. It is an education process. No one can tell you to buy a certain product and that's the answer. You need to do some research and go to the sites of resin suppliers such as Alumilite and Smooth On and read their tutorials and than buy a product and experiment and continue to learn. I, like a majority per a post on this website a year or so ago who do casting for a profit,, use Smooth on products.

I would suggest that you go on the SA forum and look up Ray Ferguson AKA BIGTALLDAD and ask him. If anybody knows, he does. He was vp of the Orlando IPMS chapter until he retired a year or so ago and then moved to southwest Florida were he lives now.

Yes. But not the spray. I use the liquid with foil and brush on a thin coat. It stays sticky for quite some time and I have had no problems with it lifting. Another good point is it's an easy cleanup to get the excess off the model.

Nick, in all honest, I watched what you went through on this board in your development stage and in all sincerity, as an individual that was 19 years old and who grew up in and was living in the Detroit area in 1964, you hit this one perfectly. What a beautiful build. Congrats.

This is a nice looking as well as educational build as I see it. This model is on my to do list for the current year and I definitely will mark it for future reference. Beautiful build.

I have exactly 363 model cars. 270 to be built, 38 built. 25 duplicates, 20 parts cars and 10 work in progress plus my scratch built project in my avitar. I will finish them all or die trying.

OK. let's flashback to the year 1958. knowing that many of you are not old enough to do that, so pretend. There have not been many representations of model cars to date, but a company AMT emerges with styrene kits of promo he versions of new model cars. No motor, just promo reproductions. What a change and upgrade from the Revelle muti-piece bodies from a few autos presented previously. Forward 1961. Amt has advanced to including engines in their kit. Wow. As a plus, they introduce the Styline kit. A new into into customizing a model car kit. Imagine that, Something new, innovative. The reissue of that kit is exactly that. Take it or leave it, That's what it is.

Thus came truth in advertising. On e-bay, I can tell you anything I want. If your ignorant enough to believe it. O well. Buyer beware. The decision is up to the buyer.
