  1. Filler primer from the auto parts store works well for me. It's made for this purpose as well as others.
  2. I have one suggestion for you. Go to the general section on this forum, open the topic on the Donn Yost video, then buy it. Apply what you see. You won't be sorry. That's the best advice I can give you.
  3. This one appears to be the one I have.
  4. I have the AMT Matchbox 68 but, it may be hard to find one now.
  5. I have the Testers Model Master 1970 HT with red line tires and real steel wheels which I picked up on ebay about 10 years ago. Every once in a while one comes up on there.
  6. The one I'm waiting for is the 50 Olds, but I don't see any info on it anywhere yet.
  7. I'm going for real on this tough one.
  8. Forget the grill, I like the car. Nice work.
  9. I build model cars and small trucks from These are the cars I remember growing up. 1900 to 1972. My favorites are from the 30's.
  10. How hard is it to cast resin? It depends on you. It is an education process. No one can tell you to buy a certain product and that's the answer. You need to do some research and go to the sites of resin suppliers such as Alumilite and Smooth On and read their tutorials and than buy a product and experiment and continue to learn. I, like a majority per a post on this website a year or so ago who do casting for a profit,, use Smooth on products.
  11. Guys drive that far for meetings Mike. I'm 45-50 minutes from Orlando and Daytona, but if I want to go there, I go.
  12. Cape Coral to Naples area is only like 35 Miles Mike. As I said previously. If anyone would know the answer, it would be Ray.
  13. I would suggest that you go on the SA forum and look up Ray Ferguson AKA BIGTALLDAD and ask him. If anybody knows, he does. He was vp of the Orlando IPMS chapter until he retired a year or so ago and then moved to southwest Florida were he lives now.
  14. That is one pretty truck. Nice job.
  15. Nice Build. I understand that this can be a tricky build, but you handled it well
  16. Yes. But not the spray. I use the liquid with foil and brush on a thin coat. It stays sticky for quite some time and I have had no problems with it lifting. Another good point is it's an easy cleanup to get the excess off the model.
  17. Nicely done. I particularly like the interior.
