The only way a gator would come into a house is if someone was feeding it. I've been here 21 years and have only seen one gator around the house and that was because there is a small lake next to the house. The DNR came and took it away. Now snakes are a different story. I've never seen a cottonmouth, but I did kill a 20 inch coral snake in my garage last fall and 2 of my neighbors have seen a 4 foot rattler around. I've never seen any big rats or ever heard of scorpions here.

It's supposed to reach 49 degrees today, but the windchill is making it feel much colder. It's only supposed to last a couple of days and then return to normal. Yes, It's cold for people in the 40 degree range and most wear a coat with a hood and gloves here when they walk their dog.

my66s55 replied to The Modeling Hermit's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Your 265 ci 6 was not the stovebolt 6 phased out in 1962 , but a new version introduced in1963 that incorporated thin cylinder wall construction as in the v-8's. -
62 Chevy "6"

"--no mention whatsoever of the newer Chevy 6 which was introduced for 1962 as the standard engine in the Chevy II (wasn't the 230cid unit though--that came a few years later, larger bore and stroke, base line engine for the 1964 Chevelle)." Methinks I read quite well. Ya i'm of Sottish decent. By the way never stated it was standard. Just new. -
Jacen. I will be 67 years old in 2 wks. My eldest son who will be 44 a few weeks later, lives with me because of physical problems, When you get to be my age, maybe you will comprehend the post a little bit better. Chuck gets it ,as I knew he would, but you are a different story altogether. I made this thread for a certain intent. Yours and Chucks posts were not in line with my intent. Chuck cleared up his position and you took offence when non was intended. Learn to know your friends from there past actions toward you, or have you forgotten already?

Yes. And both of you miss what a resolution is. It is not a frivolous promise to oneself to set some goal which you may not keep, but a statement of a determination to earnestly work toward that goal to accomplish the desired end. Those successful in life have the resolve, those that aren't, are not.

First off, what are you using for a donor engine. That would seem to answer most of your questions. -

I do this all the time. You need a program called Gimp Image Editor. It's open source so its free. Open the file you want to make a certain print size, go to tools, then transform tools and crop it so that it is either the height or width of what you want, save it as a new file, re-open it. go to image than print size and re-size it and save it again. Reopen it and print it out.

What magazines do you get?
my66s55 replied to bbowser's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I also have been getting Hemmings Classic Car and Muscle Machine since day one. My renewals that I did in June and November are digital though. I get an email and a link when a new issue come out, download it as a pdf and read it at my leisure. No more piles of mags. Can't beat the price-$7.00 a year. I mcm would go digital, I'd buy it.
