  1. No, I haven't finished it yet. Have been sidetracked with some other projects and life.
  2. Thanks everyone. Will look into the paint i was looking at for a project.
  3. I am looking at using some Tamiya AS line of spray paints. I am not familiar with them and was wondering if they can be sprayed right over bare plastic or should it be primed first? If so, what primer, the usual Tamiya Fine Surface Primer or something else?
  4. I never had one of those. May need to get one this time around.
  5. "Hudson Hornet #35 is... well, it's a long time coming" Well, it takes time for car to become weathered and left for dead. I could never do that to a model, just enjoy looking at others that people turn out. Looks great Chuck!
  6. Directly from Salvino JR Models
  7. Got a tracking number for the Roll-out Camaro that I had pre-ordered. Shouldn't be too much longer
  8. Looking great Mark! Glad you got the paint issue squared away.
  9. Hey Mark, it just hit me and I went looking in my pictures from past car shows. Back in 2014 I seen this restored car at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA. I have attached pictures in case you are interested in them.
  10. Looking good Mark. Keep it.
  11. That is a real beauty. Love these old Mopars. Simply amazing work.
  12. Thanks guys
  13. Thanks. I don't get much time to scroll thru internet or forums and just happen to see it mentioned. Just took me by surprise when I seen it.
  14. Seen on Facebook that AMT has announced they are going to release a 2021 Charger R/T later this year. Have not heard anything about this. Does anybody have any info? Would be nice to get something fresh but hard to beat the older cars.
  15. Just completed my build of the 1963 Plymouth Savoy driven by Richard Petty. Couldn't really find much information on this car and it is one that I haven't seen built much. Started with an old build that I got off Ebay of a Johan 1963 Plymouth Fury. Had to sand the body down after someone had painted, build and torn apart and stripped. Cut sheet plastic, scribed door lines into the what would become the "B" pillar to make a Sedan out of the Hardtop body. Took all Fury trim off, filled in the rear body panel using the piece from the 1964 Petty Plymouth Lindberg kit. Interior is a best guess on my part using the Johan 63 dash, Lindberg 64 interior and rollcage. I used the chassis, engine from the Lindberg kit as well. Primed, painted with Testors Bid Bad Blue. Powerslide decals, PPP wheels and tires. Had to modify the hood call outs on the Powerslide decals as they were only for the white hood version. I handpainted over the all blue 358 hp decal, not perfect but will do.
  16. Wow Beautiful Dodge.
  17. Nice looking build there. I have been planning on building one for my collection for some time now but, just haven't gotten to it yet. Nice conversation to the long truck arms for the rear suspension.
  18. Ready to for decals.
  19. Some interior work. Wasn't able to find any pictures or information so, I made a guess on the interior. Model Master Silver Blue Met. lacquer spray paint, Lindberg 1964 Petty rollbars.
  20. Plastic Performance Parts wheels and tires from MIkes Decals. Checking stance.
  21. The rear end treatment needed to be changed. From this To this I ended up using the tail panel from the Lindberg 1964 Plymouth kit and only had to fill a couple small holes at the tail lights. Got it primed and sprayed with AMC Big Bad Blue that I have been using for my Petty builds.
  22. Just realized that I hadn't posted anything on this build here. Started with an old Johan 1963 Plymouth Fury. It appeared it had been painted and someone tried stripping it. Took a chance and purchased off EBAY. This is what I started with. Sanded the body to get the rest of the paint/primer off and started turning it into a Savoy Sedan. I cut and glued sheet plastic to give me the Sedan look I needed. Decided to use pieces from the Lindberg/AMT 1964 Richard Petty Plymouth kit. Using the chassis, interior and a spare Lindberg 1964 Dodge 413 engine. Mated up the Johan 1963 dash to the 64 interior.
  23. Looking good. Keep it up.
  24. I have heard Chevy going to stop production on Camaro soon as well. What will all of them use?
  25. Looking good. I have the items to build this one as well. Keep us posted on updates.
