  1. Looks great. Give me inspiration to get mine out and get started on but, just do not have time yet.
  2. Looks amazing. I've got the MENG kit in my stash but, I will be building the Ken Miles version though. Like others have said, can't believe this is brush painted!
  3. Looking forward to see what you do with your build. I have one in the works. I have used the AMT 60 Starliner chassis under the one I'm building. There is a lot of trim that needs to be removed on that body. It is in the paint stage now. Can not wait to see yours.
  4. Can the Tamiya PS paint line be used over their TS paint line? I have a model molded in Red plastic and want to paint it a lighter Blue Metallic. Thinking about the Silver paint to block the Red bleed through. So, my question is, can the PS paint line be sprayed over the TS paint line?
  5. WOW!!! Simply amazing.
  6. I just ordered and received my 1970 24hr LeMans Winning Porsche 971KH kit. I am not real familiar with these cars and am looking for some reference photos to aid in my building of this car. I have been able to find exterior photos of the restored(?) car but no interior shots. Would like a few interior and engine shots as it ran in 1970 even though the kit doesn't have an engine in it. Has anyone built this kit before? Anything to watch for?
  7. Have often thought about trying this build myself but could never find what was needed for the body. I will definitely be following your build.

  9. Everything suspension wise is per the kit. Just watch the front spindles in what way they are installed.
  10. Just wrapped up my 1969 Daytona 500 winning Ford Talladega as driven by Leeroy Yarbrough. Polar Lights kit, Testors White Laqcuer, Fred Cady decals, Pledge Floor Gloss, PPP wheels and tires.
  11. Your best bet maybe to purchase this book. I am amazed at the prices they are asking for it on ebay. Grumpy's Toys: The Authorized History of... book by Doug Boyce (thriftbooks.com)
  12. Two delicious drinks and 2 great looking models! Have always loved the '88 Miller scheme.
  13. Look great. It does look like it would be a bear decaling that one. Love the watermelon! Are you planning on doing the "Hail Melon" car?
  14. That looks great. I have one of these Revell Jags but not sure what I want to do with it yet. Yours gives some inspiration. Great job
  15. I too have been following your builds of the NextGEN cars and await seeing your finished product on this one. I started one but have yet to finish and 2 others that I want to do. Oh, wait make that 3 others, my wife wants the Guns N Roses Erik Jones car from Daytona built.
  16. Or wait until Salvino JR Models brings out a Harvick car. They say they will cover most of the teams this year now that they have license for Camaro, Mustang and Toyota
  17. I myself cannot wait for the Black Beauty. It does like as though the hood will be molded closed though. Guess not a big deal with all the other Green Hornet items added.
  18. Looks great. Can't go wrong with Sox and Martin. I have a couple of these kits in my stash, just need time to get around to them.
  19. Thank you everyone for the comments.
  20. Just posted in the Nascar Under Glass section
  21. Started with a Revell ProModeler 1969 Daytona Charger kit. Some plastic tubing for rollcage and "K" member, PPP wheels and tires, Tamiya spray paints, Powerslide Decals and alot of work. Some things I would do alittle differently bit, overall happy with the results. I have included some pictures with my stock Daytona Charger for comparison. This is Bobby's 1979 Daytona 500 car that he finished 3rd on I believe.
  22. Mark, looking good. Just happen to think that I had found a picture of the switch box before. Not sure whose it is though now.
