  1. I just recently picked one of these at my local Walmart. I'm thinking about Surf Blue (the new B5 blue) on mine. I will be watching and following your build as well as mrmikes' build. These do look good in Green.
  2. Dash completed
  3. Not a nice day outside here in Maryland so, modeling time. Working on chassis, engine and interior. Making good progress.
  4. Challenger is the Revell model based off the diecast mold.
  5. Just got another body ready and painted for assembly this winter. MPC 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T Convertible. Primed and airbrushed with ScaleFinishes Chrysler Turbine Bronze
  6. Got my wheel and tires choice detailed up. Kit wheel cover but using AMT Parts Pak wide whitewall tires. The wheel didn't want to seat down into the kit supplied whitewall tire like they should.
  7. Was trying to get some bodies painted to have for winter assembly but, this one keeps calling to me. Thus kit was bought out of a 2nd hand collection that my local hobby shop had purchased. First time trying to airbrush Tamiya X-7 Red. Primed with with Tamiya White Primer and them airbrushed. No clear, no polishing. Got the Bare-metal trim completed. Painted the interior Red and Black and used a silver sharpie for silver piping between colors. Want to try and build it completely stock but, we'll see what I can do with the wheel covers.
  8. Might be a little better screenshot.
  9. Windows and then the interior and then the chassis. I've built a few of them and this seems to work for me.
  10. I too would be interested in conversion pieces. Would make building a 66 Richard Petty alot easier.
  11. I've got a red stripe to try but will have black interior
  12. I forgot my 1957 Bel Air as well
  13. I'm trying to prep and paint some bodies to have for winter assembly. The only problem is, I want to work on them now. 1949 Mercury Custom 1954 Hudson Hornet 1969 Dodge Superbee A12 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 1970 Dodge Charger R/T
  14. Just completed my 1948 Ford Woodie. Painted a Tamiya Dark Blue Metallic out of there PS paint line. I dry brushed the lighter wood grain using 2 dofferent shades of Tan and Brown and the darker wood panels are decals. I applied 2 coats of Pledge Floor Gloss for a glossy finish. I lowered the suspension and added some baby moon caps on chrome reverse rims on wide white walls.
  15. I'm interested in your build and what you find fits good or bad. I've got one that I have painted the body pieces but have yet to get into building it. I'm going Green on mine.
  16. This is what has lead to my question. The GoMango TA is the old Monogram mold, the Plymouth Crazy RT is the Revel diecast based.
  17. Was wondering what everyone's opinion was on whose kit is the best for the 1970 Dodge Challenger? Original Monogram, Revell based on diecast or AMT? I'm working on the old Monogram T/A kit right now and prepping the Revell diecast based for paint this week. Have built the AMT a few years ago. The basic AMT body I like other than the need to glue the top on if you want a hardtop. The Revell diecast based is to slab sided in my opinion and the old Monogram is large. I know, even though I was just a young boy but, back in the 80's the Monogram kits seemed to be a little large. Monogram kit Large for 1/24 scale, Missing detail parts, No oil filter, No rear shocks, No ignition coil, under hood items molded in. Revell diecast based kit Slab sided, parts seem a little strange for glue kit, supposed to be able to build as R/T or T/A but only 1 engine block, engine heads and intake manifold molded together for either engine. AMT kit Convertible with no up top, need to glue on hardtop and mold into body, hardtop has vinyl top texture, so you need to sand that off if you don't want vinyl top, chassis is lacking as well, detail just no real sharp As popular as this car is, I think the model manufacturers are missing the boat here. Someone should bring out a new mold for this car like Revell did with the 1970 Cuda (what third times the charm with the Cuda).
  18. Current chassis state. Need to fab upside rear shocks. None provided in kit. No ignition coil or oil filter for the engine either.
  19. Making some progress. Sprayed the hood black and thenncoatrd with flat clear. I even took the decals out and sprayed flat clear on them. Bare-metal trim fought me but finally got it done. Went over the body with my Mothers Cleaner wax.
  20. Looks great. Thanks for sharing it. Was following your build. Alot of time and patience.
  21. Can not wait to see the finished model.
  22. Just seen what appears to be box art for the kit. Coming in October 2023 according to Model Roundup.
  23. Great looking model, But the lettering and interior was actually a Turquoise color. The Hardtop had red lettering and interior.
  24. Thank you all for your comments.
