I was able to find this article. It starts out with the short car and then progresses into the long nose car. Thought I would share for anyone interested. Looks like the frame is square tube, like the resin kit has. http://www.moparmax.com/columns/magnante/vii_4-1.html

I just received my resin body from Speed City Resin and have started to do research for this car. Having some trouble locating info on chassis. This is about time that they started using tube chassis' and wondering if this car had a full tube chassis? Does anyone have any reference they are willing to share. I have a bunch of builds started and I won't be geting to this one for a little while. I have some pictures I found online but no clear underhood shots of chassis. Here's the Speed City Resin Kit The chassis it comes with.

One question though, did the drag racer really use these type headers? Never really seen to much myself on this but I know Nascar teams did. -

I guess I have been lucky as I have had no problem with any Meobius kits due to them. When I did mess up a 54 Hudson body, I contacted them and asked about a replacement at my expense and they were very nice about it and told me how much just for a body, I paid and it within the week. Great customer service in my experience. Great kits as well and much wanted subjects too. I for one will continue purchasing there car and truck kits. -

Got the BareMetal completed. What a job. On to the interior.

Got revise decals from Keith Marks, stand-up guy byt the way, and got them placed. Much better now. Time to move forward with the build. Got the body Bare-Metaled and looks great. Need to get pics and post. Here is the front seat with revised longer seat pattern decal. Now to let them dry and then spray some semi-gloss clear on interior.

Roger, you'll need to get the new Landy book as well. Got mine this past weekend at Carlisle Chrysler show and it is a great book. https://www.amazon.com/Landys-Dodges-Mighty-Mopars-Dandy/dp/161325248X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469208652&sr=8-1&keywords=landyGreat Great looking build by the way.

My next victim, It's Revells 1962 Corvette. Since I had a few minutes and the weather was alittle better out, I thought I would prep and start painting. Wanted to go a little different than what you typically see for a Vette. White with Red or Black so I went Testors White and High Gloss Clear on the body, Tamiya Champagne Gold on the interior with Champagne embossing powder on the carpeted areas. I thought I would try and replicate raw fiberglass on the underside so I sparyed Testor Modern Desert Sand on the chassis pan and the frame and suspension was glued toegther and sprayed Testors SemiGloss Black. Going to go with steel wheels and dog dish caps out of the Revell 1962 Impala kit.

Corvette Raw Fiberglass Floor Pans

I was thinking that or maybe there Modern Desert Sand that I used for interiors on the Moebius Chrysler 300 kits. -
Have any you guys found a decent color match for the raw fiberglass floor pans of a Corvette? Should mention this is a 62 Corvette.

Thanks guys. I left the body at work over the weekend and have been curiuos as to how much it might have died back in the heat. To my surprise it still looks great. I thought I would try the seat insert decals from Keith Marks today. They look great but the front seat inserts are a little short to align with the way the seat cushions are molded. I have an e-mail into Keith to see if I can get another set that may be longer to fit better. Once that is done, I will hit it with some semi-gloss clear to tone the sheen down alittle.

First Gen Bronco, not a Ford fan but have always liked them. Will need to get one. And the Black Widow again, yes!!! -
After going to the GM Show up at the Carlisle Fairgrounds last month and seen this beauty, I needed to build one. Always wanted a black on red 59 Impala model. I had started one years ago but didn't like the way the Black came out or the stickers for the seat patterns. So I purchased another kit and got to work. I contacted Keith Marks and got a set of his red seat insert decals as well. The body had some sink marks on top of the "wings" so I smoothed them. I stripped the chrome off the side trim and glued that in place prior to any painting so that I wouldn't have a chance of making a glue mess on the paint. Then I primed it, got some Tamiya Black and sprayed straight out of the can in the humid 90 degree plus weather. I just sparyed Tamiya clear on it about an 1 1/2 hours ago. More satisfied with it this time around. Hope I don't scratch it up during BareMetal and putting it together.

Thank you all for the comments. The Moebius Hornets are great kits and they go together so well. I have more of them to build, just need the time.

Lighting I believe. It doesn't really lok that yellow in person. Although the Tamiya Racing White is an off white color but not that yellow in the pictures.
