  1. Thanks guys. I left the body at work over the weekend and have been curiuos as to how much it might have died back in the heat. To my surprise it still looks great. I thought I would try the seat insert decals from Keith Marks today. They look great but the front seat inserts are a little short to align with the way the seat cushions are molded. I have an e-mail into Keith to see if I can get another set that may be longer to fit better. Once that is done, I will hit it with some semi-gloss clear to tone the sheen down alittle.
  2. First Gen Bronco, not a Ford fan but have always liked them. Will need to get one. And the Black Widow again, yes!!!
  3. After going to the GM Show up at the Carlisle Fairgrounds last month and seen this beauty, I needed to build one. Always wanted a black on red 59 Impala model. I had started one years ago but didn't like the way the Black came out or the stickers for the seat patterns. So I purchased another kit and got to work. I contacted Keith Marks and got a set of his red seat insert decals as well. The body had some sink marks on top of the "wings" so I smoothed them. I stripped the chrome off the side trim and glued that in place prior to any painting so that I wouldn't have a chance of making a glue mess on the paint. Then I primed it, got some Tamiya Black and sprayed straight out of the can in the humid 90 degree plus weather. I just sparyed Tamiya clear on it about an 1 1/2 hours ago. More satisfied with it this time around. Hope I don't scratch it up during BareMetal and putting it together.
  4. Looks great. Great color. I for one love this kit. Great suject and great execution by Moebius. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Thank you all for the comments.
  6. Thank you all for the comments. The Moebius Hornets are great kits and they go together so well. I have more of them to build, just need the time.
  7. Lighting I believe. It doesn't really lok that yellow in person. Although the Tamiya Racing White is an off white color but not that yellow in the pictures.
  8. Got it completed this weekend. see under glass here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/115011-moebius-1954-hudson-hornet/
  9. Just finished this one up this weekend. Been working on it off and on since it came out. Testors Fathom Green. Another great kit from Revell.
  10. Just finished this up this weeked. Testors Tropical Turqouise and Tamiya Racing White. As with all the other Moebius I've built, it was a great kit and fit together nicely. No issues other than no instruction sheet came with the kit.
  11. Here's a link to the actual real car build. http://www.71wingcars.com/page.aspx?id=1 http://www.71wingcars.com/view_item.aspx?page=4&id=139
  12. I had issues with them cracking as I was sanding on them to smooth out the infill. I tried super glue as well as Plastruct Plastic Weld and they kept cracking but finally got lucky. As far as chrome on them, I thought I would try Duplicolor Bumper Chrome.
  13. It's been a while since I had ordered from them but seems I recall that it was decent quailty. The ones I had ordered were for my brother and father and they haven't built them yet.
  14. I was looking as well for a project I have going and couldn't find anything. So, I decided to take the kit bumpers (56 Nomad) and shave them myself. But if anyone knows of some that are chrome plated please let us know.
  15. Shaved bumpers
  16. Has one mentioned a better detailed 1963 Corvette based off the Revell 65 & 67 Vette kit instead of the AMT 1963 Corvette? If I remember correctly the AMT kit didn't have seperate suspension parts and the detail wasn't quite as good as the Revell kits.
  17. Thanks for the comments guys. Got decals printed, applied and fresh coat of clear sprayed today.
  18. RMR Resins has one as well. Scroll down to the 60's catagory http://www.rmrmodels.com/Products.html
  19. Yes he is still in business. I sent him a e-mail on Saturday June 18 and got a reply from him Monday June 20.
  20. I need to look at ride height yet. It was just sitting together in the pics. May want to lower just a bit.
  21. The rain stopped, the clouds opened up and the sun is shining. Grabbed my tape and prepped to spray the blue. Let it dry a little and couldn't wait any longer, had to untape to see what it looked like. Had a quick logo that I had printed to see about size and just laid it on the panel to see how it would look. Time to print logo on to clear decal film. Baremetal, decal and then clear. Need to paint interior yet. Thinking about pearl white with blue dash to match body with blue carpet.
  22. Got the Tamiya Pearl White sprayed on the roof and waiting for the rain showers to stop to tape and spray the blue. Thought I would do a quick mock up with wheels and tires. Tires are AMT Parts Pack White Walls.
  23. Nice
  24. Paint has started to be sprayed. Got it primed, based in White, and got the pearl white on the roof. Tomorrow hoping I can get the blue sprayed. Got the interior pieces primed as well. Waiting on an orer from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland for engine work.
  25. Just purchased the rerleeased hardtop kit a few weeks ago. Looks like a great kit. The only concern is that the roof is pushed to the drivers side a little bit. Hope when the windows go in it will straighten out. Had the convertible years ago and it came with foil for the side trim but the new kit has the chrome trim on the decal sheet but looks more like silver thatn chrome.
