Found this Dark Red and thought I'd try it to see how it looked with the body colors. Not sure about it though. What do you all think?

Looks nice. I need to finish mine.

What do you all think about a Red Interior? Trying to come up with something different color wise other than Tan or Black.
-
Just don't know.

Thanks for the pic. I went looking for something like this. Not sure if I like it enough to do though. Need to think about some more.

Toying around with the idea of a custom grille using a Desoto tooth grille between stock turn signals. Not sure about it though. What do you all think? I have the grille but hate to cut up stock Chevy grille in case I don't like it. Maybe I'll try to do a mock up tomotrow with out cutting anything yet.

Looks like something out of the Coughlin family from Ohio. I'm still not sure about the looks of this body style Vette but great job on it.

Made a choice on the trim and set about to shaving some Bel Air trim off the sides and gave a quick coat of Tamiya Primer to see what needs to be cleaned up yet. Used the gray primer so imprefections will show up better but will prime in white before paint it applied. Toying around with the idea of deleting the vent windows or not. What do you all think? Not sure about wheels either, any suggestions? I am thinking about baby moons but not sure. Thinking about maybe a 50's or 60's flare to it.

Was thinking about this last night some while trying to kids to bed and this is what I'm thinking for 2 tone and side trim. A little embarrassed to post this for it being so primitive but oh well.
-
My thoughts on 2-tone was blue body with white from beltline up. But, I just am not sure right now. Another thought depending on trim I decide, paint the body Blue and the "panels" White

Here is what I found that has me thinking about trim. I know these are not Nomads but just Sedan Deliveries. Nomad Trim on Tailgate Shaved Tailgate

A friend of mine has a used car business that his grandfather started in 1956. He has been very helpful over the years and thought I might try and do a model with his company logo on it for him as a surprise. I decided to start with Revell 1956 Nomad and going to do semi custom delivery wagon out of it. Sanded the side rear windows smooth and glued them in place for a logo to be printed on decal film and placed there. I am looking at Tamiya Light Blue Blue Metallic and Tamiya Pearl White for colors. Looking for a few ideas as to what to do with trim. Right now of course it has the Bel Air trim but not sure whether to leave it? shave it all off? leave just the curved bottom portion and reshape the front end of side trim? Also been thinking about whether to leave or shave the tailgate? Any thoughts or suggestions?

The weather has been beautiful this week in Maryland so, I decided to get another model painted. Dug out my 57 Del Rio Wagon. I used Tamiya Grey Primer, Tamiya Champagne Gold and Tamiya Mica Red. I thought the colors might look good together, what do you think. Need to Bare-Metal, clear and polish yet. I need to figure out interior color. I will be building the stock 312 cu in. with the supplied supercharger. I have some custom resin wheels I'm thinking about using, not sure yet. Outside Pic Inside Pic Resin Wheel

Being a Dodge man as I am, I'm sitting here prepping a 57 Ford Del Rio Wagon for primer thinking to myself "Why am I working on a Ford?" We need more different model subjects than the Ford and Chevys all the time.. I am loving Moebius with all there offers that they are doing. Have multiples of each but want to build a semi custom wagon for a change. Would be great if we had a Chrysler wagon of some sorts. Does anyone else feel like we need more Mopar models? I do not remember to many 30's Mopars except the 32 Chrysler, 40's Mopars - 41 Plymouth, 50's Mopars - 55 thru 57 300 Series unless you can get a hold of some old Jo-han kits.

Will be following as I have had one for years and don't really know what to do with it. Interested in what you come up with.

Thanks for the comments. I have it just about completed, just a few parts and final clean-up to do then it will be all done.

Haven't found too much on the interior yet but, I'm just going with stock Biscayne interior with a 4 point roll cage. I will add a horizontal bar behind the seat. Here is a pic that I found showing the cage through the windshield. As far as Jim Reed's car, here is a link for MarkJ build-up off that car that might be good to follow. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/41715-1959-jim-reed-chevy/ I believe this book has the restored Reed car in it but, I'd have to check mine when I get home to make sure. http://www.amazon.com/Vintage-Historic-Stock-Enthusiast-Series/dp/0879388986/ref=pd_cp_14_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0HYJQRD0SZEP16N6P5P0

I got to digging thru my stash of kits and found this one in the pile. Forgotten that I had this far. Guess I should go on and finish it before something happens to the painted body. The actual car The model Revell 1957 Black Widow with Fred Cady Decals PPP Wheels and Tires
