How about some mid 50's or mid 60's Buicks? Can one assume they could use some of there Chevelle chassis' for the 60's and there great tri-5 chassis' for the 50's Buicks? I'm a Mopar man so I'm not 100% sure on the underpinnings of the GM Cars but would love some 50's and 60's Buicks

Moebius '65 Mercury Comet Cyclone news
jjsipes replied to Dave Metzner's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I for one, can not wait to get my hands on another great Moebius kit. Thank you Moebius for being these kits to market. Without YOU we may have never seen some of these cars in kit form. Even if they have some details that some people have issues with, it will not stop me from buying. If it looks like what it's suppose to be then, great. We could all just go back to the Plamer kits if you don't like what is being kitting now a days. -
Thanks for the comments.

Which is correct? Barracuda - Restored Barracuda - Original AWB - Restored AWB - Original To my eye the AWB is to Gold but, I don't know for sure. I do know that Bruce (current owner of Barracuda) is now a member of the Golden Commandos and was in talks with Ray Kobe of the Commandos during restorationof the Barracuda. Either way, this is a very welcomed kit. I know I will be buying a case of them. Can we hope for the sister Dodge next?

Your welcome Steve. Here's the link to the Commandos Barracuda build I have been working on. I'm hung up on the fender well headers right now. Need to get them done before I can move on. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/102568-1965-fstock-barracuda-golden-commandos/#comment-1437191

I have been talking with the owner / restorer of the Goldfish Barracuda that the Commandos ran in 65 and he has told me to use 1970 Dark Burnt Orange for the color. He asked me to build a model of his car and to use that color. Decals can be had through graphics sheets from Slixx and Fred Cady did a sheet years ago as well.

Now that is a Grand Slam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1957 Buck Baker Black Widow

Finally got some time this weekend and finished it up. -
Kit looks great after spending sometime looking at it . The only thing I have really noticed thus far is the panel lines are not scribed all that well. They appear that they will be lost under a heavy coat of primer, paint and clear. Will need to be scribed deeper prior to paint.

That's right. Fred Cady did the Bill Shirey "The Professor". I had even started the 1964 car. Duh!!! -
Loving this. Question what other decals are out there that would work on this kit? Bill Jenkins http://www.slixx.com/7170.htm?id=4629 Shirley Shahan http://www.slixx.com/7153.htm?id=4583 Bill Shirey http://stores.smhracing.com/458-the-professor-64-65-plymouth-bill-shirey/ Ronnie Sox ran a stock wheelbase as well Anybody know of any others?

Found this Dark Red and thought I'd try it to see how it looked with the body colors. Not sure about it though. What do you all think?

Looks nice. I need to finish mine. -
What do you all think about a Red Interior? Trying to come up with something different color wise other than Tan or Black.
-
Just don't know.

Thanks for the pic. I went looking for something like this. Not sure if I like it enough to do though. Need to think about some more.

Toying around with the idea of a custom grille using a Desoto tooth grille between stock turn signals. Not sure about it though. What do you all think? I have the grille but hate to cut up stock Chevy grille in case I don't like it. Maybe I'll try to do a mock up tomotrow with out cutting anything yet.

Looks like something out of the Coughlin family from Ohio. I'm still not sure about the looks of this body style Vette but great job on it.

Made a choice on the trim and set about to shaving some Bel Air trim off the sides and gave a quick coat of Tamiya Primer to see what needs to be cleaned up yet. Used the gray primer so imprefections will show up better but will prime in white before paint it applied. Toying around with the idea of deleting the vent windows or not. What do you all think? Not sure about wheels either, any suggestions? I am thinking about baby moons but not sure. Thinking about maybe a 50's or 60's flare to it.
