  1. Simply awesome. Can not wait to get my hands on a couple of these. It is about time someone does these in kit. Thanks to all that is involved
  2. Any updates? Jason
  3. ANy odds of getting any of the custom parts out of one the 72 Road Runners? I have been looking to build the Rapid Transit Car but have been unsucessful in retreiving one of these.
  4. Looks great. I seen this resin build up and ordered one for myself. I am looking at making a mod top cuda outta mine. I hope it turns out aleast half as nice as yours.
  5. If you are possibly looking for a lilac color with a possible flake to it how about Testors Model Master Eveing Orchid from there lacquer line of spary paints? Then do a silver roof. This was a factory color on 1965 Chevrolets. I sprayed my 65 Impala with it but I feel it has to much flake to it for me. Love the color though.
  6. All your hard work looks great. One thing though, Super Car Collectibles is going to be doing this car as well as soom other altred wheelbase plymouth in the very near future. See link below http://www.supercar1.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=43_45
  7. I myself vote for Blue but then again I have a B5 Blue Classic edition. Here are 2 that I built using the Revell SRT* kit. One is a replica of my B5 Blue Classic and one is a Plum Crazy Classic Edition for my girlfriend. I used the Pegasus wheels as well but used the tires from the Amt 09 Challenger to have a little more sidewall to closer match the real deal. Hope you enjoy.
  8. Just knowing that they are actually in the works as we post is enough for me right now. We we would all love to see pics but, we know what the cars look like and by the comments from Art, these will be great kits. Can't wait for them but as long as they are great kits, I can wait.
  9. I have run out of the Tamiya thinner and won't be able to get to hobby shop for a few weeks, it is about an hour drive one way. I have a small window of time to paint before the humidity returns since I do my painting outside. Has anybody been successful in using anything else to thin Tamiya paints to be able to airbrush them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. For anybody that is into the Ramchargers or drag racing you need to purchase this book. It is a great read. Has some great pics as well. Here is a couple of engine shots of the car in the book. Here is another pic of the side of the car
  11. I can't wait for wither of these but more so the 300 than the Hornet. I was just wondering what the status was and look at the replies and comments that have been made. Looks like I am not the only one waiting for these. Thanks for the responses guys.
  12. Has anybody heard any more news on the release of the Hudson Hornet or Chrysler 300 that was annouced last year? Will be waiting patientily for these.
  13. Why not try the Revell '64-'65 Chevy truck chassis. That is what I was doing with a '72 I was working on. Need to get back to it though, haven't finished it yet. This would save time in trying to detail the AMT ###### chassis. It actually fit pretty good, I was surprised.
  14. Heres one that I use for factory colors. http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/aclchip.aspx?image=1946-chevrolet-pg01.jpg It has a second page that breaks down the the different years. 41, 42, and 46.
  15. Here is a picture from yorkus30.com website. They have a great show every week after the 4th of July. They had the restored car there last year and here is the pic from the show. It was actually a pearl yellow, pearl white fade.
  16. Has anybody purchased any of the reissue MPC Zingers yet? I remember my father having the Vette but don't recall the others. I am interested in the Dodges though.
  17. I know of who Caine440 is talking about. These decals where originally done by Decals by Gooche. I believe I got mine from Special Appearance Decals but, they are no longer registered on Ebay, I believe. Sorry about that guys. Just have to keep an eye out I guess. By the way Caine440, looks good. Keep it up.
  18. Has any else seen this? Revell has partnered with the NHRa to reissue some of its vintage drag racing models. More to come according to article. http://www.nhra.com/story/2009/10/22/revel...ring-nhra-logo/
  19. I am not 100% sure but Dave at Model Car World has the correct decals for this car since the Fred Cady decals are brown. If you purchase the decals from Model Car World he has a copy of reference pics and a little description for the 2 cars - Hard top and Sedan. He states the closest match is the Corvette Bronze from 1968. I have yet to spray mine but that will be what I use. Dave seems to be up on his vintage drag cars so.
  20. Here are a few w.i.p. of my 32 Fords that I have been messing around with. First the 3 window coupe was sprayed with Tamiya Sky Blue Anodized Aluminum then cleared with Testors Lacquer Clear. Hand painted wide whites with Torq mags. Blue interior Second the 5 window coupe was sprayed with a mixture of Testors Copper and Boyd Orange Pearl then cleared with Testors Lacquer clear. I love this clear. Have been successful spraying it over lacquer, automotive lacquer, Tamiya paints and Testors enamels. The interior id Dupli-color Wimbelton White with Rust carpet. The steel wheels was painted with same color as the interior. I used the early hemi as well. What do you all think?
  21. It actually comes with a resin interior tub but a little rough so I will be modifing the Chevelle tub to fit. You will need to use the seats and dsah from the Chevelle. The resin also comes with it own chassis. I reality you really only use the hood, dash, seat, engine, suspension, windshield, wheels and tires from the Chevelle. Here is a picture of what you get with the resin kit.
  22. Here is a another build I just started late last week. It is a resin 1970 El Camino from Jimmy Flintstone. Will be built using the AMT 1970 Chevelle kit. I have cleaned the body of flash, fitted the AMT 1970 Chevelle grille and bumper (fits better than the resin pieces, I know the turn signals are different from Chevelle to El Camino). Have Chevelle windshield fitted as well. Will make rear window. Mocked up wheels and tires, needs to set just a little higher for my taste. Wheels are from Monogram 78 or 79 Camaro. I am thinking Testors Lacquer Fathom Green with white hood stripes. Interior color? Been thinking Parchment but may go black.
  23. Looks awesome. I built a 66 Nova sedan a few years ago using the resin body from everyones fravorite A/FX N Scale but have recently ordered a couple of the Nova sedans from Bandit Resin and they are much nicer and more acurate than the other body. I did mine as a street car though instead of gasser but it looks awesome as a gasser. Great job. Here's a pic of mine. The roof is shorter and the recess area in the trunk is not present on the A/FX N Scale where as on the Bandit REsin body the roof is taller and the recess panel is there in the trunk.
  24. Looks good. I have gotten sidetracked with some other builds. I am still not sure what color I want to paint mine yet, want something bright. Was thinking about Testors Aluma yellow pearl but not sure.
  25. How about this one? I have plans to build one like this.
