  1. Got my resin body off evilbay and it only came with bare resin bumpers so I placed an order with Modelhaus. Chrome bumpers look great. Also got there interior tub, pretty shallow but then again it seems all the older interiors were shallow in the model kits. Got the decals as well off evilbay. Just need to get the time to work on it, hard to find time with a 2 month old to take care of.
  2. Looking for pictures of Hemi Dart that Fast Eddie Schartman drove. I have Slixx decals but would like to have some reference pics and just haven't been able to find much on car.
  3. Just received a newsletter from Model Roundup that claims that Trumpeter will be bringing out a 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint Hardtop. Can be built stock or customized with optional engie options and wheels. Has anybody else heard anything about this? They say it is in test shot review right now so they claim 6-9 months for it to hit shelves. Here is the box top.
  4. I am looking for reference pictures for the 1959 Oldsmobile that Lee Petty drove to the 1959 Daytona 500 victory. I have found the picture of it in the Petty musuem but would like to have reference of the engine and interior. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Mr Obsessive, hope you don't mind but I was following this WIP and it inspired me to get a resin '64 Cutlass and have been working on it since. Here is what I have so far. Started with a Bandit Resins kit and AMT '66 Cutlass and went to town on it.
  6. You can get one from Bandit Resin. Click on link take you right there http://banditresins.com/1964_cutlass.html
  7. I have one of these in the works as well. I loved the tv show and have started to purchase it on dvd. There was an episode where the bad guy fixed the brakes on the dart and mannix popped the hood to check the brakes and the inner fenders were red, must have been a red dart barris started with. I do not recall the engine color though. Jason S
  8. Here are a couple other pics rom a museum by the looks of it. http://public.fotki.com/llcoco2001/corvettes_fc/page2.html Jason S
  9. Thanks Dave. There were 2 cars built by the Petty's. The first was wrecked killing an 8 yr old boy in Texas (?) so the Petty's had to build another one to fullfill contracts with the drag strips.
  10. Last night I was watching the new CMT Films Petty Blue DVD that they just release. It got me to thinking about the Barracuda that Richard Petty drove in 65 when Nascar banned the Hemi eninge in the intermediate cars. I dug out my resin kit from Model Car World and am thinking about starting this as my next project. Would anybody have any reference pics of this car? I have been looking for more pics, I have a few but, would love to have more. I have seen were some recreated this special car but from what I can tell, it is not 100% accurate. Any help would be truely appreciated. Thanks. Heres the car. Here is a link to the recreated verison. http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/mmo12007.html Jason S
  11. NHRA.com has a small write-up on the website today. They spoke with da Grumps wife, see link below. http://www.nhra.com/story/2010/9/22/jenkins-recovering-from-subdural-hematoma-procedure/ Jason S
  12. Here are my Jenkins tuned/driven cars that I have built. Have a few more to do. 61 Biscayne 62 Bel Air 65 Plymouth 66 Chevy II 69 Camaro 70 Camaro Jason S
  13. THank you all for the comments. Im working on the Revell 1960 Impala now. Jason S
  14. Thank you all for the comments. Jason S
  15. Looks great other than the GM Performance Parts decal on the bottom side. What's up with that? This is all Mopar not GM.
  16. Yes the continental kit is optional on the Revell kit. It comes with the stock straight bumper as well and the continental kit verison.
  17. Didn't get any interior shots as I was building this. Forgot to. Just a black interior with the decal upholstrey pattern that comes with the Black Widow kit. Thanks for the comments.
  18. Thanks for the comment. It is just one color on the body, you might be seeing a reflection. I forgot to upload pic of interior, now up there. Jason S
  19. Here is my take on a "Flashback" stock drag car. Model Master Laquer Tropical Torquise and Duplicolor Wimbledon White. Box stock with the exception of a rise job on the suspension. Taped the strips up on roof the color sanded prior to clear. Wheels are out of the AMT 1955 Nomad kit. Very nice kit. Chassis Engine Body Jason S
  20. Here is my Revell 1958 Impala that I just recently finished up. I stripped the chrome off the side trim and glued it in place prior to painting. The color is Tamiya Coral Blue out of a spray car with Tamiya clear. First time using Tamiya primer, paint and clear on one model. Hand painted the strips on the seats since the decals didn't look right to me. Special mix of Model Master Interior Blue and Olds Engine blue I believe to get the Turqouise color which matched the reference pics I had. Bare-metaled the trim once painted. I also had to cut the rear portion of the interior floor piece just behind the rear seat to get the chassis up in the body all the way. When I went to put it all together the chassis hung down below the body just in front of the rear wheels. Simple solution since it had a seperate trunk floor. Chassis Interior Body Jason S
  21. To my knowledge no one has ever offered a Tucker in plastic but the Modelhaus does offer a resin one. See link attached. http://modelhaus.com/index.php?c=4234&p=63578
  22. Get the latest issue of Mopar Collectors Guide. It has a write-up on the car. It has some great reference pics as well.
  23. Here are a few reference pics for you that I found for myself. Hope they help. Jason
  24. As far as the Green Camaro's go, my borther stopped and looked at one here in town but the dealer would not deal on the 2 they had and they did not want to try and order him one (with-out sun roof). So he went out of state and they told him they could not order one either but they would check other dealers to see if they could find him one. This was a PA dealer and they went to North Carolina to get him one. He loves it, gets alot of attention. I myself thin the color makes the car. He is a pic of my Challenger and his Camaro. They stop traffic when parked at his house when I visit.
  25. Here is a set of AC Delco decals on ebay right now that has the three logo decal. Not sure about size but you could scan and make bigger and print it yourself. http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-NASCAR-DECAL-RARE-97-AC-DELCO-93-OLDS-CUTLASS-/250675167187?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a5d677fd3
