  1. Thanks for the comments. Here is a picture of the body polished and bmf. Not the best pic but a pic anyway.
  2. Here is a progress pic of the interior. Used Testors Model Master Leather and Radome Tan for colors. Used brown flocking for carpet. I did this prior to purchasing embossing powder in brown, wanted to use what I had on hand to use it up.
  3. Looking great. Looks like alot of decals there.
  4. Progress on the 53 Ford has been about like Congress, slow. But I do have a little update today. I have the chassis close to being completed. Just some touch up and a few small parts. I primered with Dulpicolor Gray Primer then missed some body color on the edges. Brushed painted Testors Semi-Gloss Black on the frame. Hope to have more soon. Have been working on the interior and engine some as well. Got the body polished and waxed, baremetal too. Will get pic tomorrow of body.
  5. Heres a link to one of my favorites. The High and Mighty 49 Plymouth by the famous Ramchargers. http://www.allpar.co...igh-mighty.html
  6. Yeah a nice kit of the Auburn Speedster would be awesome as well. Or even a late 30's Lincoln Zephyr
  7. My question is, "why is the little boy playing with his sisters dolls when he has a cool truck to play with?"
  8. This is my kind of build. Nice factory looking build. No rust, no low rider bs. Just a beautiful model. I have one but I will be using the 69 chassis, engine for mine. It will also be a super stock drag car. Any great job. Looks awesome. Thank you for sharing.
  9. Yeah a Tucker would be awesome!!!! I got the resin Tucker from Modelhaus but have never done anything with it yet.
  10. I love it. Looks amazing. Bring 'em on. I want aleast a case of them. Honey, can I buy a couple of models? Need to check with wife first. Can't wait. Thank you Moebius. What's next in line, more 50's era Mopars?
  11. All that comes to mind is .... WOW. Beautiful paint
  12. Love the 50 Chevy Truck and the Call my Bluff 55. They all look awesome.
  13. Remember that quite well. Awesome model of a great driver. Thnks for sharing.
  14. I like them all but that Skoal Oldsmobile stands out among them. Is that Terry Labonte's or Rick Mast? I remember them both driving the Skoal Olds in black and white while Harry Gant had the green Skoal cars.
  15. Does anybody know where you can order Tamiya Paints in the US and have them shipped? I'm tired of going the closet hobby store, which is 50 miles away, and coming home empty handed.
  16. Tommy Boy. One of the clients that Tommy was trying to sign had some diecast cars on his desk and Tommy winds up crashing and burning it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-3Oehs6rzQ
  17. Awesome can't wait. One that I have been looking for for a long long time. Thank you Moebius
  18. Any updates?
  19. What yeloow is that? I like bright colors and have been looking for a bright yeloow like that. Looks good by the way.
  20. Lindberg 64 Plymouths and Dodges for early Johan 60's Dodges and Plymouths. Revell 68-69 Dart chassis/inner fenders for under hood of Amt/MPC 69 Barracuda. Revell ProStreet 67 Chevelle chassis for any 60's A body GM products. Revell 69 Camaro chassis for the old AMT 72 Nova prior to Revell's Novas. Revell Thunderbolt chassis, engine, interior floor for AMT 64 Comet
  21. This sad news but my take on the article on NHRA.com is that he and his wife decided to travel and spend time together not the lack of sponsor dollars. See attached link for article. http://nhra.com/story/2011/11/15/kenny-bernstein-retires-from-nhra-drag-racing/ Either way sad news and hate to see any team close up.
  22. Wow. I have been following your build thread here and it has inspired me to do one myself but it will turn out to be for my wife's grandfather instead. This looks awesome. Thanks for sharing.
  23. I bought this last week at the local hobby shop to build as a fifties custom but, then the wife asked me if I could build it for her grandfather. I said sure if time would allow. I already have numerous projects started that I can't work on to much on account of my 10 month old daughter but, I will give it a shot. ASked what his favorite colors were and was told Pearl White and Light Beige. So another trip to hobby shop for some paint. testors Pearl White, which I had in my stach and Testors Phoenician Yellow. Stripped chrome off side trim and glued in place prior to painting. Primed with Duli-color White Primer and sprayed pearl white but didn't go to well so in the stripper it went. Now today got the roof sprayed Pearl White and the body sprayed Phoenician Yellow. I guess it looks okay, I need to clear it yet. Will have have a beige and brown interior when completed. What do you guys think? This appears to be a nice kit, if I remember right this was the Kit of the Year when it first came out.
  24. Any chace of of you making resin copies of this when you are done the modifications? Would love to have resin copy of this. I like it alot. Keep it going looking great.
  25. Bring on the 50 Olds. I know I will get a couple and my father, brother and cousin will get a least one each. Long awaiting model. And of course who can forget about the Chrysler 300 from Moebius. I will get a case of them when the time comes. The Rat roadster will be on my list as well. I have always wanted the 1/16 scale Petty Charger. A big thanks goes out to the model manufacturers, now just bring out what you announce. Would love to still see more 50's Mopars though.
